  1. I previously managed a $2.5 million budget for a not for profit and the "accounting" math just is too confusing for some reason. Couldn't they just add and subtract like normal math? LOL.
  2. I'm glad you were able to get it figured out! Enjoy!
  3. Just rec'd the Stateroom Account Statement for a cruise that we opted to take the 100% refund that was offered. (The Ruby Princess SF dock crash cruise) I am very confused with how to read it. (This would have been my very first cruise) In particular a "Referred to Corporate Finance Line" which shows a charge. What in the world is that? Jul Referred to Corporate Finance x,xxx.xx Then there is a "Folio to Folio Transfer" Jul Folio to Folio Transfer: DH -xxx.xx under the Account Holder (me) then Jul Folio to Folio Transfer: Me xxx.xx under Authorized User (my DH) At the end of the statement it shows the charges equal exactly the credits, with "0" total charges due. So I'm guessing they're saying I don't owe anything but I would still like to understand what they are listing as charges and credits. It's just a little confusing to me. Is there a tutorial on how to read these statements?
  4. You're welcome. Hope it all gets sorted out.
  5. I purchased a meal plan for my 2024 CruiseTour and it shows on my travel summary under the Itinerary section (just after the flights section.) "Tour JB5 Meal Plan Includes: Day 2: Breakfast in Fairbanks. Dinner at Fanny Q's Saloon in Denali. Day 3: Breakfast at Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge King Salmon Restaurant. Dinner at Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge King Salmon Restaurant. Day 4: Breakfast at Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge. Dinner at Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge20,320 Alaskan Grill. Day 5: Breakfast at Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge North Fork Restaurant. Server gratuity (15%) and tax is included for all meals. Meal vouchers will be included in your welcome envelope upon arrival at each location on your land tour." If you aren't seeing it listed on the travel summary I would check with Princess OR your TA.
  6. Where in the email does that appear? I didn't see what package I have in my email. I booked after 8/2 for a 2024 cruisetour with Princess Premier. Could that be why I'm not seeing anything??
  7. I have actually booked a CruiseTour for next year using the FCC provided. I was just very disappointed in the moment but really want my Princess cruise!
  8. It is dependent on the class of the ship. Royal Class ships (like the Royal) don't take the actual Inside Passage because (I believe) of their size. The Sapphire is a gem class ship (part of the Grand Class, I think) You can view the actual route on the map provided with the itinerary. This is the map for the Southbound cruise Whittier to Vancouver. Solid blue is the Sapphire and dotted is the Royal. Hope this is helpful. 😃
  9. Unfortunately no. This was the trip where the Ruby crashed into the SF pier. We ended up taking the 100% refund and not cruising.
  10. Happy Anniversary. C748 is a lovely cabin. It's spacious, well kept and the balcony is fabulous.
  11. Hi all, I was considering one of the Cruise/Tour options through Princess but thought they were too rushed. Are these different? If yes, where can I find a listing? Thanks Went back and found the link provided above!
  12. I was on the ship. Captain was very careful with his choice of words. It was plainly stated as anticipated or estimated departure times PENDING clearance by the USCG.
  13. 100% agree! That is exactly why I'm not "Team Princess" at the moment.
  14. Guest services (really the whole crew) was in complete chaos after the initial announcement. Unfortunately, not being a seasoned cruiser, I would never have thought that this was an option. Thank you for pointing this out. It just might come in handy in the future so I really appreciate the wisdom.
  15. In all likelihood, I will probably give it another go but I think I'll avoid the San Francisco port. Seems those waters are very dangerous in general.
  16. No Sitka, No Juneau, No Glacier Bay. 😔 Just Ketchikan and Prince Rupert.
  17. We were cruising primarily for the ports, the ship experience was secondary.
  18. Since the Itinerary was so drastically altered and this was to be a bucket list vacation, to say I'm disappointed is an understatement. We opted to get off and return home. What was offered, in MHO, doesn't even come close to being "enough". So much of my heart went into the planning of this cruise just for it to be crushed. This was my first cruise AND first cruise with Princess. The experience has left me with no desire to cruise with Princess ever again.
  19. To view your dining reservations on the app --- Clicking the DINING Icon on the bottom menu (or Dine My Way option if you scroll about 2/3 of the way down) Under "Personalize Your Dining Experience" select "View or book individual daily reservations" Select the day your reservation is on from the top menu bar (you may need to scroll right to left) Your reservation should show (you may need to scroll down a bit to view) Hope this is helpful.
  20. The Princess website now shows the Crab Shack as a Specialty Dining option. It is only available on select ships (Discovery is one of them) and only on Alaska cruises. I have not yet figured out if reservations are required OR how to make them if required. I think you'll need to make a reservation onboard via the Dine Line (I found that info a few days ago but now can't find it on their website 😕
  21. The Crab Shack is currently showing as part of the included AND specialty dining on the Princess website. It's only offered on specific ships according to the website. I was able to see it listed for the Ruby when I clicked on Booked Guests, Access Cruise Personalizer, select the Dining icon at the top, then scroll down. It's listed in two spots but currently not showing any additional information.
