Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. 3red7s… I live in Tampa. Let me know if you have any other questions!
  2. There is a Publix Greenwise grocery store about 3 blocks from the port. It is in the ground floor of The Heron building. Publix has a great selection of wine. I’m not sure if this location has a liquor store as well. And it’s totally walkable from the port.
  3. For our sailing in June, Voom is currently on sale for 25% off. Any chance the price will go lower?
  4. As I understand, the Sandcastle only allows a certain number of day passes. Do we need to be first off the ship and get there right away? How quickly does it fill up?
  5. I think we will have a great time on the Rhapsody. We have a great cabin-an aft facing junior suite. We have been on the big ships and never rock climbed, zip lined, or ice skated. My husband will be happy in the casino and I’m happy with a comfy lounger and my book.
  6. Thank you! We chose this sailing based on the ports. We have been to most of the ports that sail from Florida and wanted to see something new!
  7. We will be sailing on Rhapsody in June. I have been following this board for awhile and don’t see much posted about this ship. For anyone who has sailed recently, do you have any tips or suggestions?
  8. We have a 3 hour tour in the morning, but it does not include the donkey sanctuary. Is it possible to take a taxi from the port to the sanctuary?
  9. Answering my own question! I finally got a response from DePalm Island. You must book your entrance ticket through your cruise line. To book any upgrades on the island, send them an email and they will send you the information on how to book an upgrade. I was able to book a cabana on my lunch break today!
  10. We have booked an excursion to De Palm Island through RCI. We would like to upgrade and try to get a cabana. Is this possible? Has anyone done this?
  11. I’ve been reading this board for awhile and finally found a company for a private tour. It’s Gone Caribe. They have lots of information on their website, including tour ideas -worth checking out just to get ideas on what to see. For a 6 hour private tour where I chose the stops, admission to sites, bottled water, and use of the snorkeling equipment, it will cost $435 for 3 people. My husband is almost 7 feet tall, so to have our own vehicle where he won’t be smushed, it’s worth it for us. Here is the website: https://www.gonecaribe.com/
  12. We don’t need to be at the airport until 2:30 for our flight home. Where can we store our luggage so we can sight see a little before going to the airport?
