Slighty off topic but also on, if i bring in wine before the cruise or from a port does the $20 corkage apply if you drink it in your room or its applied once they find it on the ship regardless of where you consume it?

So you are saying any pre paid gratuities, orders if cancelled aren’t refundable but added to credit?

Does anyone know if they do cold water only laundry?

I am guessing one way cruises such as the one im going on (Amsterdam to Florida 15 days) would be the least crowded and the unruly wouldnt be in attendance compared to the cruises which depart and arrive at the same port?

i had mentioned previously for my 15 day sojourn cruise coming up the prepaid rate was 312AUD per adult. This makes no sense as 16.50 usd x 15 days is 247usd or 372 aud. Even if they removed the first and last days for tips it still works out better value than paying on board in USD

Ok pretty sure i dont have it which is fine. It does seem to be cheaper to prepay but i should have 350usd OBC so i guess i should perhaps prepay my partners now and mine can be sorted out later with OBC. I am still mathematically confused how 312AUD is all that is required for the 15 day Soujourn on the rotterdam. Anyone can to have a stab at this? Itinerary Holland America Line.pdf

So the only question i have after reading this thread is, besides me going to my favourite bar and seeing the same person who is always cheerful and want to tip them does there ever seem to be any expectations for tips (not including prepaid gratuities). I assume not.. Also is $1 for a drink etc be deemed an acceptable tip to a server? or is that a slap in the face like i see in usa where they throw the money back in your face 😁

Im a little confused as im sure when i booked for my cruise (Oct 23 depart on rotterdam sojourn) in March it included prepaid gratuities however unable to find any evidence of this. On my booking below it only says this, there is a chance i mistook "includes service charges" for includes prepaid gratuities. Regardless where can i find if it would be included and secondly am i able to use my On board credit to pay for this? ill get $250usd for the stock offer which if can be used, i wont pre pay. Thirdly, just wondering if prepaying gratuities is cheaper than paying on board as i can see 312 AUD per person but it doesnt really make sense, unless gratuities are only applicable on full sailing days which there would be 14.. but even if i convert 16 usd to aud and "23.60 x 14" still adds up to $330.. if anyone is following me

We both do have the HIA package, i was meaning if we are sitting down at dinner or at a bar and we both order a drink on our package can we taste our partners drinks etc or if i run out of my drinks and my partner has some left how strict are they if i drink from my partners glass...

Assuming you cannot upgrade to Elite if you have purchased the SDP HIA promo which I did, my partner doesn't drink at all. What is the consensus on drink sharing between partners on the same state room. My main query is me using my quota all on wine, whisky and beer and using my partners for soda and coke
