We have $2,200 in onboard credit ($2,000 of which is use-it-or-lose-it), so we plan on upgrading Internet, maybe wines, and a few spa services.

Be careful when upgrading internet. The last cruise we were on, we upgraded and it knocked off access on our other devices. I spoke with the Internet guru and he said this was the way it worked. When he downgraded  me, everything returned.

I have no idea what happened. YMMV.

Am on board. Ship is a SUPER WOW! MY favorite ship was the Splendor (3 cruises) but now is the Grandeur - after 2 days!

CR is like a fairy tale setting and food has been outstanding.

Several workmen aboard  fixing things as Grandeur gets accustomed to the seas. My specific nits are : door bell inoperative and toilet is finiky.

First night we had one of the 6 new production numbers  - high energy pirate theme - terrific.

Internet AOK but we're in Kotor and surrounded by mountains.

Thank you for the report. Sounds wonderful. Hope we see some pix or videos soon.

Hopefully the punch list will be minimal when we board in Miami on 12/21!

Wife and I  from the UK looking to go on this ship Nov 2024 12 nights Beauty in Bonaire cruise from Miami.

This would be the most expensive cruise we have ever booked, it's for my 70th birthday but looking at the many negative reviews on quite a few different sites about Regent  it's putting us off now. .

A lot of people write to complain. Whenever I have had an “issue” on my four RSSC cruises, they were minor and addressed immediately and professionally.

So my wife and I are big fans of RSSC. Previously, we went on a few Holland America cruises. They were very nice but there is not even a comparison.

  4. To each his own. I get good value. That’s my opinion. If you don’t like what you ordered, order something else. They will be more than willing to get it for you. If the service isn’t to your liking, communicate it to management.

We usually find something that we like. We ask them to prepare it for us the next day and it shows up.

Really? Hasn’t been my recent experience and many others have commented that the food & service has degraded in the last couple of years. The food is OK to very good at times but is inconsistent. The service is also inconsistent with pockets of great service and in the case of Destination Services downright poor. I would agree with others that I don’t get any value out of expensive paintings and statues and would rather Regent spend their money to improve services and food and/or pay down their outrageous debt incurred during COVID. BUT, to each his own.

  5. I can only say we were very pleased with Explorer (the only newer ship) we were on. Service was fine and food very delicious. We were then on Navigator, Mariner and then Voyager. Those ships were also up to snuff. The Prime 7 on Voyager was very small, crowded and noisy.

We would not be back for cruise 5 if we weren’t fully satisfied with the service, food and accommodations. We have had staff recognize us and we recognize them from cruise to cruise.

What difference do sculptures make?  I want service, food, accommodations.  Forget any fancy eggs unless I can eat them.

Pardon my saying this, but on RSSC the food, fabulous service and accommodations are a given.

I have never been disappointed with onboard stuff. I’m into aesthetics. This will be my fifth RSSC cruise, second on a ship with a Pacific Rim.

  7. Maybe we’ll get some nice professional tour videos of the ship. I am particularly interested in seeing what sculpture Regent puts in front of Pacific Rim. Those sculptures are the most beautiful. Also the sculpture in the staircase leading to the gym.

We’re booked on the Christmas/New Year’s cruise through the canal.
