There are also private companies that do shuttles (per person) by boat from the port areas to St John. There are some options on Viator for this route on Tuesday's and Wednesdays.

I saw that there was a new service taking guests from Havensight or Crown Bay to St John (Cruz Bay) by water taxi, which would be another option to get to STJ faster.
