Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Not sure the distance, (I have never been but my 1st ever cruise leaves in 24days and this is a stop for it). There are rickshaws that work for tips if this helps you at all.
  2. Just watched this video and noticed that the water slides are $5. I was under the impression it was free. Can anyone confirm either way? Thank you!
  3. Trying to find out if it is worth it to go check this beach out. Seems that there are some shops and maybe a bar or restaurant over there as well. I have watched a Youtube video someone uploaded from a couple years ago that showed them walking over there. Just wanting to hear any personal experiences anybody may have. Thank you. I have attached a photo to make my question more clear.
  4. Uber is available in San Juan as well. I have not been yet, I am also going in February 2024, but it does seem that there are several stores close to the port and the Fuente Bahia Urbana seems to be a flat walking are near the cruise port. Hope this helps.
  5. Thank you for your review, doing this exact itinerary in February, my first cruise! I was wondering if you, or anyone else reading this thread, has ever been off resort at Amber Cove. There seems to be a beach within walking distance with some local shops and maybe a bar. If you have any experience with going over there can you tell me how it was? I have also planned our own walking tour of San Juan and would love to hear if you have any suggestions other than all the big obvious things to see there, like the forts, umbrella street, and the home of the Pina colada. I did read about a beach that may have sea glass behind the Capital Building, so that is exciting! Thank you for any information you or others may have.
  6. I was thinking meat pies as well, but I have never cruised before so was not sure. Thank you for the responses!
  7. I am wondering what the Savory Pie is that is listed under the Omelet Station at 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Anyone know? Thanks!
  8. I have always wanted to view the stars from a boat or ship at night and was hoping to do so on my first cruise. However, I have read that viewing the stars from the ship at night is not very good. Are there any "dark sky" areas on the ship that one would have a better view of any stars? I will be on the Caribbean Princess in February, Eastern Caribbean. Thanks!
  9. I looked on deckplans.com, the room I got does not mention a blocked balcony.
  10. Yay! That is great to hear thank you!
  11. Good to know. Yes I have booked a balcony room on deck 10, they did seem to be partially covered so that is a nice bonus.
  12. I believe that you and Ambercrombie2019 are correct. Thank you both for all of the information. I have booked a balcony room at the front of the ship on deck 10. I did read that the front of the ship may cause more nausea, but I think it will be okay.
  13. Okay thank you, it is hard to tell the deck numbers from the outside of the ship 😄
