  1. Has anyone booked or planning to book a Golf Cart at Bimini? We are two male guests that would be open to joining another group of 2 for a 4-seater Golf Cart experience if someone is interested. Please respond and let me know
  2. Hello Everyone - We will be on the Feb 23, 2024 - 9 Night sailing on the Carnival Venezia. I have been on this ship before and it is a beautiful ship with some shortcomings as it was originally designed for the Chinese market before Carnival added it to its fleet from Costa. Has anyone booked any excursions or resorts at the ports of Bimini, Freeport and Nassau? I have been to Nassau like a zillion times but always open to get ideas on what others are doing. Please share.
  3. I hear you....best to check both options I guess
  4. You are not offending me one bit by not being part of the millions who sail on Carnival...Your comment of being snorty and indicating who sails on Carnival was uncalled for. Happy sailing to you to!
  5. I completely understand where you are coming from ...I am much younger than you but sometimes differ to my nieces on how to use some new apps and features LOL
  6. That's great that Holland America is still honoring the old process. I heard from some guests even Princess is accepting the old process. Carnival Cruises is very adamant about using this 3rd party unfortunately.
  7. The app only confirms shares held and passes on the request for OBC to the cruise line. The cruise line has to apply the credit similar to how it has always been. if a particular fare class such as interline is not eligible you will not get the OBC irrespective of how you submit it.
  8. Glad it worked out. Thanks for the compliment on the post. I figured we are all into this together and sharing information could be helpful 🙂
  9. I was not forced to login using my brokerage account. Carnival's emails recommended that I share my brokerage login information on the app but I completely ignored this meaningless recommendation from Carnival. Did you create an account on the app? I did not create an account and and was not forced to log on my brokerage account. I was able to upload the redacted letter from my brokerage firm confirming shares held.
  10. In my experience "Interline" fares though discounted are not always the best fares as cruise lines discount the regular fares all the time. But sometimes you do get lucky with good interline fares 🙂
  11. Each of them - Cell Phones and Computers have their uses, pros and cons. Trying to force technology that works for you onto others is never the right approach.
  12. Nothing ironic about it if you can have an open mind and not be judgmental. There are many people even today that DO NOT have a cell phone and DO NOT feel a need for it. They complain when alternatives are not provided.
  13. You certainly can redact 95% or more of your brokerage statement but for me obtaining a letter with just the specific stock in question seemed the more safer and efficient way for me. I only had the redact the address and my brokerage account number (it only had the last 4-digits of my account number to begin with). I have a similar letter for each of 3 cruise lines with whom I hold stocks.
  14. Millions of passengers sail with Carnival. Seems like a snorty and uncalled for comment really!
  15. I just downloaded the App and used it 3 days back. I did not have this step of choosing PLAID/ALINEA/Fidelity etc. I am not surprised if they removed it because it is meaningless anyways.
  16. Agreed you do not need to create an account or link your brokerage account. However, the app has been updated and there is no AlIVEA option anymore. Please email StockPerks at Hello@Stockperks.com. This company does not have a customer service number so email is the only way. Try it and hopefully someone can help you.
  17. As long as the old system works and emails are still accepted makes complete sense to use it. It is a shame that Carnival is forcing its stockholders to this 3rd party app
  18. Agreed . Do not login or provide your brokerage credentials....its is unnecessary.
  19. One advantage is that they can save money by having fewer people in in-house team that performed this function in the past. StockPerks has only one employee in the US (for legal reasons). All their employees are based in the UK and other places such as Uruguay etc. and there must be a cost benefit to it. Whateever the underlying reasons are the rollout by Carnival is simple terrible with no proper communication, safeguards, and consistency.
  20. Absolutely. Additionally now they have updated the App and you are not even asked to choose a brokerage firm - Fidelity, Alivea etc. Please do not provide more information that needed in the App
  21. Transition to anything new should be an OPTION and not a COMPULSION.
  22. Completely agree with you. I am even ready to wait for a week...lol. The security of my personal data is more important to me than convenience per say!
  23. Excellent information. Thanks for sharing. This whole rollout and push this 3rd paty App StockPerks is so inconsistent and suspicious. Good to know the fax option still works. Thanks
  24. I agree with your philosophy on protecting data. Glad that Seabourn/HAL (even though they are owned by Carnival Corporation) is still following the old process....I heard even Princess is being flexible. However not Carnival Cruises. They are very adamant about having to use this 3rd party app....not even a website but an actual App!
