  1. You can bring snacks / prepacked food from what I understand.
  2. Ours was another $500 lower the day before final booking, then a spa club balcony became available for $600 more.. Soooooo.. just upgraded to the spa club lol..
  3. Cool.. Yea, leaving Canaveral and doing Cozumel, George Town, Ocho Rios and Great Stirrup Cay..
  4. Yea, I guess that makes sense.. Is there any place that has listed that anyone knows of? Or how would one do research to have that knowledge?
  5. I see that when in port if you do certain things on the ship, there will be tax charged. Now, I know many things are closed when in port, but I'm guessing things like bars etc etc that are open is what they are talking about? If you have a drink package, and are staying onboard when in port, do you get charged tax? Or what things will be charged tax? It may be explained somewhere, but couldnt find exactly what I was looking for.. Thanks
  6. Just excited now that we're within 125 days and got our Cagney's and Teppanyaki reservations made 🙂 And just wanted to share our excitement.. lol.. Thanks for listening.
  7. Yup, pay attention to the dates. Now if the price dropped after the 120 day timeframe, then that's a bummer, but before, you can 100% change, My 120 is coming up and I'm gonna have them run the numbers 1 more time before then. Already got 1 drop of about 400 bucks..
  8. I'm booked in a club balcony suite and as one of the perks it shows being able to book at 125 days. Which should be 7/30 for our 12/2 - 12/9 cruise. But the app says to check back on 8/4 to book. Do I have to call to be able to book at 125?
  9. Well, generally speaking when I'm talking HAM radio, the large, large majority of the countries all use the same frequencies because if we didnt it would be really hard for us to communicate across not only countries, but continents. Would be hard for me to communicate with someone in asia / austraila / UK / germany, south america / canada / africa if we arent using the same freqs.. And I have the logs to prove those contacts..
  10. Correct, I had started looking into what I'd need to use them internationally, but then saw they arent allowed on-board anyway, so no more reason to look into it.. I was never expecting to use them on the ship itself, but in ports.. But again.. Doesnt matter.
  11. LOL I was hoping to take a wireless transceiver with me to try to make some mobile ham radio contacts... (since I'm licensed) but saw that's not allowed... Which is kind of a bummer.. Thought that would be fun.
  12. Thanks for moving this.. I failed to see this forum.. Or didnt really process what it was... So I'll go look and I bet I can find all kind of info 🙂
  13. I just wanted to say how different things are in different parts of the world and I love it.. When you were talking about the driving distance I had to go look and see exactly how far it was.. As being in the states, I have no clue where stuff is in the UK.. So when I saw the distance, I kinda chuckled to myself about that just being a good afternoon drive lol.. I get it though, but just thought it was funny (at least to me 🙂 ) Glad you had a great time!
  14. We'll be driving to PC in December and have never done a cruise before. So just looking for some pointers / do's / don'ts / watch out for PC. ie: best parking lot / how to drop off wife / luggage while I go park or do it like at the airport where you park then put luggage on shuttle and they take you to the docks? Not sure exactly how close / far etc etc things are.. Just give me your ideas of how-to 🙂 Thanks!
  15. I guess it wasn't clear I meant outside of the cruise world wasting money
  16. I am really looking forward to trying some new foods, so I am hoping they can do small portions as I've always been a somewhat picky eater so didnt want to waste the money if I didnt like something. I also dont want to waste a full portion if I just dont like it..
  17. I know this is old, but I just ran across this info on a non-logged in page on NCL that specifically clarifies the point that was vague when you're logged in.. I was looking for clarification and the search pulled up this thread so maybe it will help others in the future.. The Welcome Aboard Premium Plus Package includes: • 1 x Light Up Frame • 2 x Lanyards with photo insert • 1 x Welcome Aboard Photo • 1 x Route Map • (8) Portrait 8x10 Prints • Digital files of the 10 Photographs selected in this package.
  18. Ok I’d seen that but wasn’t sure if it was “current”
  19. I am pretty sure the buffet has pizza by the slice and the Italian joint has them for a charge. Can you get a whole pizza complimentary and take back to your room or do I remember seeing a room service menu that has it for the delivery charge (no clue if what I saw is current) ? I know pizza isnt the reason you go on a cruise, just curious about it because sometimes we just want pizza lol..
  20. Oh thanks! For some reason my brain was telling me no food or beverages... It's just beverages... So can bring our own special snacks if we WANT to... 🙂
