  1. Have you actually stayed in a DPV? You can call it whatever you want. I don't care. If our view isn't obstructed it's not obstructed. As long as we are on an E class ship we are good with DPVs. In our opinion, a lot better than IVs and priced better than IVs. I agree with you and all that the balconies on the M &S class ships are a whole lot better.
  2. What's crazy is we had our 140 points on the second day of the first leg of our B2B AD cruise in 2015. Made D+ on the second leg of our JW cruise in 2017. Until this thread haven't really thought about the MIA blocks. Like RC has. 😂
  3. SSS's, DPVs and SVs are real balconies on the E class ships.
  4. We never received ours when we hit the 140 mark. I thought maybe when we made D+ we would. Nope. Maybe when we hit 210. I don't share the same disappointment or frustration as you. I never thought to speak with the LA about it. On our next cruise if I remember I will. Give us a couple of extra CAS drinks and we'll call it even.
  5. Nope. Just a tiny piece from a broken Heineken beer bottle.
  6. Hopefully we won't need to. We would expect to be recognized at a special gathering and our photo taken with the Captain and displayed on the ship so others could be envious and talk about it on CC. 😂
  7. No winning. 🙃 IMO, the DPVs are not obstructed based on the porthole design. We've had that type of balcony cabin on RCs Explorer Of The Seas and they don't call theirs a Porthole veranda. Just a balcony cabin with a balcony. Back to Celebrity. My point is we could see forward/straight out like sitting on a traditionally balcony. If we wanted to see straight down, left or right or straight up we would have to be standing. Like on a traditional balcony. And at that not all traditional balconies are equal. Again depending on the class of ship and cabin category. Agree, any class of ship, cabin, etc. is all a matter of personal preference. ✌️
  8. And according to the deck plans not all DPV's are obstructed. Some yes. Also the numbers of obstructed DPVs very from the deck to deck that have DPVs. That's why I always check, no matter the class of ship. We had 7118 on the Apex. No obstruction. Future cruise on the Edge, 7118 no obstruction.
  9. I'll ask and if it's not to be... Maybe another drink each would be great. 😁 Generally we don't save items from our cruises. Tier level pins from the different cruise lines we cruise with, yes. Small and easy to stash. If we did get the block we wouldn't display it.
  10. We also have cruised for many years and also know exactly what a balcony is. 🙄 DPV is a balcony cabin on E class ships. Provide where Celebrity references DPVs as obstructed. We had no obstruction with our DPV on the Apex. Selected another DPV for our September Edge cruise. Why does Celebrity call IVs Infinite Verandas when IVs do not have verandas/balconies? Aagin, @Eno I quoted said nothing about any class of ships. As my answer to that person didn't specify any class of ships. Why are you assuming E class? Think M & S class ships also.
  11. Just logged in. No issues. Using a laptop, Windows 10, Google Chrome. No issues with the app either. Samsung Android.
  12. Just logged into the website. No problem. Using a laptop, Windows 10 and Google Chrome. No issues with the app either. Samsung Android.
  13. We've got a B2B March 2025. I'll stop by the LA desk on that cruise.
  14. https://www.celebritycruises.com/things-to-do-onboard/staterooms/suite-class/galapagos-fleet/junior-suite All class ships as @Eno didn't specify ship class or numbers. I consider DPVs and SVs real balconies on the E class ships. DPVs also. We had no problem getting a DPV in the location and exact cabin for our Apex and Edge cruises.
  15. All class ships as @Eno didn't specify ship class or numbers. I consider DPVs and SVs real balconies on the E class ships.
  16. Pat, thanks for the info. We never received anything from the LA when we hit the 140 mark. I thought maybe when we made D+ we would. Nope. Maybe when we hit 210. 😉 I just looked in a small tote we have some cruise stuff in. In a baggie we have 4 Gold pins, 8 Platinum pins, 2 Emerald pins, 4 Diamond pins and 3 Diamond Plus pins. WTH! 😂
  17. Booked our October 2025 Princess cruise on 9 April 2024. Made DMW reservations on that day. June I'll have to rebook DMW reservations due to the new dining changes that were announced after I initially booked. Also took care of all 8 requirements on the app to be in the green line.
  18. Celebrity ships have mini (junior) suites and real balconies.
  19. Not even Zircon. Glass chip. 😂 The pin itself isn't plastic.
  20. More importantly the 5 CAS daily drinks. 🍻
  21. We've never worn ours (a to each their own thing) either but nice we have them. I've seen some wear the G, P, E, D, and D+ pins like some Pinnacles do.
  22. That's because you made Pinnacle quickly. 😁 We have the Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Diamond Plus pins. Never received our Crystal Block and we made D+ in 2017.
