  1. You must email or call the Marriott, if the are full they will not take day guests.

I've been to this resort when it was very busy, have no idea whether or not if it was at capacity. In 4 separate visits I've never once been told they aren't taking "day guests". I've heard that on this board in the past, but it has never been an issue with our group or myself personally. Staff is VERY friendly, actually I thought the staff at this resort is consistently friendly and very professional(beautiful people). Go have a wonderful day, headed back there this Dec. I can't wait. Good luck Todd

Put some cash aside for your bar tab, it's worth it.

  2. Eliminate all that nonsense cough up the $35 per person and do the St. Kitts Marriott day pass. So. Friars/ Frigate Bay been to all of them Carambola . No way to compare any of them to the sand, beaches, vibe and layout of the Marriott, pool is awesome, the swim up bar cant be beat, I forgot to mention an actual REAL beach tons of room and endless beach. Marriott on St. Kitts there really is no comparison on the island, none. Hope that helps Todd

  3. We will be back on Barbados 12/2, on the Caribbean Princess been to the island many times, back in 2010 we did an island tour and went to the North Shore but didnt get to stay. I would like to go to the North Shore Beach area and spend the day our ship leaves at 5pm. Has anyone done this before and if so whats the best way to accomplish this? Should I hire a driver for the day or can I do this on my own? Any help is appreciated. Thanks Todd

  4. I've cruised Princess solo a dozen or so times Princess is very solo friendly. I have a 14 day cruise on the Caribbean Princess booked for this fall solo and I cant wait. I've seen those Single's meet and mingle in the Patters but I never go to them. I went to one about 11 years ago on the Emerald Princess that was suppose to be in the Wheelhouse bar, the bartender thought I was kidding and I've never been to another one since.

I love Princess solo, actually I took my girlfriend last year, I'll never do that again:rolleyes: solo only, from now on. Later Todd

  5. Eagle Beach-Amsterdam Manor is the only way to go. Take the city bus right across from the port, it's too easy. Get there early so you can rent a chair, hut thingy. Spent the day there several times, was there in Dec. 2016, spent the whole day on Eagle sat at the Amsterdam Manor beach bar ate and drank all day, bar tab was scary I had the best time ever doing it again this Dec. Aruba is consistently one of my favorite really fun islands, Iguana Joe's before getting back on the ship is a must. Pitter the bartender at the bar upstairs makes some of the best mojito's in the Caribbean. I hate leaving that island.

  6. I've done both, rib's are essentially the same, Pitter the bartender in Iguana Joe's(upstairs) at the back bar makes some of the if not the best mojito's in the Caribbean. I always preferred Iguana Joe's superior location, atmosphere is excellent and its a crew favorite. The crew are the one's who know and frequent the best bars, Iguana Joe's thats all I ever see there is crew members. Hope that helps Todd

  7. I was on Darkwood Beach on Nov. 27th, 2007 when the earthquake hit, Emerald Princess(Inaugural year), 7.2 centered on Martinique a group of us from the ship met up on Darkwood, I rented a scooter from Cheke at the pier drove it all over Antigua ended up at Darkwood, beach, water, and bar were wonderful. Rented a single hut thingy for $5 all day it was great, earthquake hit around 4pm, everybody thought it was over. Major buzz kill, perfect day gets hammered by a shelf shift quake while were chilling on Antigua looking at the volcano on Monserrat spew smoke and ash!!!

Heading back this Nov., almost positive if I cant find a reasonable way to Long Bay Beach and back, I'll be renting another scooter or a buggy again from Cheke. What you folks are describing I've already been through that several times, I cant walk through those shops, its a nightmare.

  8. I've been to Dominica on 3 separate cruises all 3 times I've been with Levi or Garry, whichever Bumpiing Tour you take with be Awesome. No jumping in Titou Gorge, hands down one of the best experiences in the Caribbean. If you're on Dominica, Levi is the only way to go, he takes care of everything. Hope that helps Todd

  9. Does anyone have any idea whatever happened to Frankie and Alastair Greener?? The both of them were our cruise director's on the Golden Princess back in 2001 inaugural, they were really something special especially together on Big G TV. As far as Princess is concerned these guys were in a class by themselves, they weren't just cruise director's they were the stars of the ship, unlike many cruise director's who are nowhere to be found, these guys were everywhere all the time, true pro's, anyway any info would be appreciated. Thanks Todd

  10. I've never been to this port before, I'm not sure when I'll be heading back. But for those of you who have been here before(doublej and Guest 2000) if you were going back what beach would you go to and how would you get there?

Any help in making the most of our time on Roatan would be appreciated. Thanks Todd

  11. We are on the Caribbean Princess in November with a stop on Roatan. We already have 2 tours confirmed with Island Marketing 1 on Belize the other on Cozumel. Is anyone familiar with the West Bay Beach Break with Island Marketing??? Any help or input would be appreciated Thanks Todd

  12. Has anyone been to this bar recently?? I used to go all the time, not only a crew favorite but the food is wonderful and best Mojito's in the Caribbean are made by Pitter the bartender upstairs.

Does anyone know if he is still there???

We're heading back to Aruba in December our ship the Caribbean Princess is in port till 10pm which means I will be at this bar till 9:50pm and was hoping to sit with my girlfriend and get hammered with this guy just like I have many times in the past. Thanks for any help Todd

  13. Sky Reef bar??!! that sounds great!!! I'm bringing my snorkel bag while were out beating around the island. We have no plans for a ship or private tour, actually were both looking to just bar hop all day and get familiar with the island again. "loungers on man made sandy areas" has my name all over it. Thanks again anything else you can think we should or shouldn't miss I'm all eye's and ears. Thanks again Todd

Caribbean Princess Nov.27th-Dec.11th......I'll be there. ;)

  14. I appreciate the Taxi info, as I said in my previous post it's been quite sometime since I've been to the Isle of Cozumel :) doing my homework before we get there this fall saw that Money bar and it looked very promising Thank you Todd

  15. Hey Biker I saw the Money Bar website that place looks great, is it walking distance from the pier?? It's been almost 20 years since I've been to Cozumel, the old lady and myself were planning on bar hopping all day, I saw this place and it looks like a place where we could spend the day. Thanks for any help Todd

  16. One of thee best snorkel tours in the Caribbean and I've done a ton of them. You and your group are going to have a blast check the reviews on TripAdvisor I posted one last year when we got back. Great crew food and drink were wonderful. Hope that helps Todd

  17. You never hear much about Darkwood Beach anymore I'm almost positive I'm headed back there this Dec. after a 4 year absence, rented a scooter from Cheke back in 07, I'm going to do it again this year. Drove all over Antigua the island is BEAUTIFUL especially the country side, ended up at Darkwood got hit with an earthquake and just made it back to the ship.

Nice international crowd and great time at the Darkwood Beach Bar, beach was perfect looking forward to going back. The goats and the potholes on Antigua are everything there cracked up to be, but a lot of fun. Take care Todd

  18. Does any one know if the day pass price is the same for kids and is there snorkel equipment included or available at what cost?

I'm not sure what the cost is for children's day pass, and I did not see snorkel equipment available, I brought mine with me.

  19. We are interested in the marriott day room for next March. Is it a regular hotel room with beds? I would think by booking this, we would also have charging privileges and could use their towels instead of hauling them ourselves?

We did a day room 5 of us back in 2010, if you have a group of 4 or more headed to the Marriott or a family it's thee only way to go. Very nice room(2 queen beds), bathroom was wonderful I always take a change of clothes showered after a LONG day on the beach before we headed back to the ship it was really nice, $$$ well spent. Hope that helps Todd

  20. Herod's Island Tour(Best of St. Lucia by Land and Sea) is AWESOME. I've done both tours Cosol and Herod's, if I were to do it again I would choose Herod. I saw him last month on the island, he and his parents are as good as it gets. Hands down one of thee best tours in the Caribbean. Have fun, hope that helps Todd

  21. For a solo like myself:

    Taxi-fare to and from Marriott(approx.)$20

    Day Pass$35

Bar tab(my bar tab was $47 it's never been that low they were having a special on Caribe Beers and I drank them all afternoon for $47 cant beat it)+$30 tip, $75 total(approx.)

Easily less than $150 for the WHOLE day I was first one on the beach and we were one of the last ones to leave. This is why I'm going back in Dec.. Hope that helps Todd

  22. Back in 2010 we got a day room at the Marriott, there were 5 of us and we all went in on a room together, for a family it's thee only way to go. I would have done it last month when we were there but we didn't have enough people.

I took a change of clothes we kept everything in the room, took a shower after spending all day out at the pool and on the beach it was really nice, I highly recommend it if you can pull it off. Have fun.

  23. How much for a cab ride to the Marriott?

What is included in the $35 day pass?

    Thanks so much :)

Only way too go. Take a taxi from the port(go early) get a few people to go so your taxi fare($6-$8) is cheaper, I'm not kidding it's only like 5-maybe 7 minutes depending on traffic from the ship. When you walk in and pay for your day pass(go left) they print you a receipt keep it with you in the event there is any problem but there wont be a problem. Go to the elevator take it down to the basement walk out of the elevator into heaven, the resort is yours(pool, deck chairs, bathrooms, etc.) the day I'm there the resort is Todd's.

Hands down one of the best overall beach atmosphere's in the Caribbean, for $35 plus bar tab unbelievable, I'm going back again next year. This every 3-4 years to St. Kitts not anymore, next year. ;) Hope that helps Todd

    The beaches are REAL!!
