  1. I am new to the Cruise Critic community. Where can I find information so that I can reply to some of the postings and some of the replies to my questions?
  2. Penguins, this picture was so helpful. It changed the way my wife and I packed. We are in our late 70's and carrying as little in our carry-ons is now a priority. Oldnatsfans
  3. Since we board on the 6th, I will be happy to let you know of our experiences.
  4. I am in the midst of doing my packing and was wondering if anyone has been on the Celebrity Eclipse cruise from Buenos Aires to Antartica and noticed if the outfits worn to dinner in the main dining room were any different than any other voyage. Oldnatsfan
  5. Thank you Ken, I just checked the site out. It will be very helpful.
  6. Thank you for all your help. I greatly appreciate all the tips you have given me and all the time you have taken to do so. I am sure my trip will be more enjoyable because of you. Oldnatsfan
  7. My wife and I are sailing January 6th 2024 on the Celebrity Eclipse out of Buenos Aires. It holds over 2800 passengers and has I believe 15 passenger decks and is 1040ft long and is about 120 ft, wide. It has 122,000GT listed as its weight. I was just wondering if anyone has cruised on this ship thru the Drake Passage and had any information to share about their experience.
  8. My wife and I are leaving in January 2024 to board the Celebrity Eclipse and cruise from Buenos Aires. We will be viewing Schollart Channel, Antartica from the ship on Jan. 12, from 11:00am -1:00pm Jan 12, 2024. We will be viewing Paradise Bay, Antartica from the ship on Jan. 12 from 2:30pm-4pm. From 5pm-7pm on the same day we will be in the Gerlache Strait. The very next day, January 13th, we will be cruising by Elephant Island from 2pm -6pm. I would like to know what I a 76-year-old male and my wife a 77-year-old female should wear so we can enjoy viewing Antartica as we stand one any of the observation decks. Our 14-day cruise has many wonderful stops. However, these two days will make or break the cruise for me.
  9. We are leaving on Jan. 6, 2024 on the Celebrity Eclipse for a voyage from Buenos Aires to Antartica. Can anyone explain the boarding process? Once we leave the terminal, I realize that we take our bags to a shuttle bus that then takes us to the ship. How do our bags get to our rooms? Are we responsible for taking them from the shuttle bus up the gangplank all the way to our room?
