  1. Using it as we speak on resilient lady
  2. Have sailed October in those areas and had nice weather some days but also some unsettled and stormy weather so would definitely prepare for that worst case scenario.
  3. Found out upgraded from limited view sea terrace to cheeky corner suite day before sailing. First clue was card being charged obviously then app changed to rockstar then got an email a bit later.
  4. Hi I've done all of those arriving by cruise and think they're quite easy and straightforward to do walking off the ship. Mykonos might be tendered and then a bus transfer but then is very easy to walk around once in town. There were some interesting excursions if I remember rightly for Cagliari if wanting to go further afield. Piraeus I assume is the ending port on this one, its quite a way from Athens centre so would recommend taxi/Uber.
  5. Agree with above on Greek island glow being a very nice experience, loved that each destination was very different in character and what it had to offer! Any itinerary with Ibiza in is great I think, loved having an overnight there with virgin and sailing in to Ibiza at sunset was a great moment.
  6. The app is poor pre cruise but to be honest as others have said it's always worked a lot better once on board
  7. Agreed really enjoyed the bargains there's been but it's looking a bit more difficult to justify now.
  8. Prices aren't too bad I don't think compared to some of the recent voyages I've seen
  9. Personally I don't believe that for a minute, I enquired about the cape town to Barcelona and was told they'd be live a week before departure!
  10. Think the email has been sent out to all affected passengers so is further good news if sailors on this itinerary haven't heard anything
  11. Think the voyage is safe based on this announcement.. https://vvinsider.com/virgin-voyages-cancels-australian-2024-2025-summer-sailings/
  12. Australia was always going to be dead to them I think unfortunately as soon as the red sea issues started
  13. I have a feeling it will go Portsmouth or Barcelona to the US but it's been hard trying to guess what Virgin will do so far
  14. Personally following this Australian season and issues with the red sea repositioning I think it makes some sort of presence on the west coast even more likely now. I think could be much more lucrative
  15. This is a very good point about comparing the final bill, mine is next to nothing since sailing Virgin primarily because of the savings on drinks, internet, gratuities and a variety of other things I've had included. Very noticeable as this was always the downside when cruising. Where the change might come is with virgin's new pricing as all the cruises have done with them so far have been great deals including 2 I am on this year. I might feel different if paying more but I think you still get more included than on others and some of the competition seems to have high pricing for less.
  16. We were originally on deck 12 and were rebooked to deck 14 and have changed it to deck 13 which is near enough to the action above but has the buffer of cabins in between
  17. This is very well said! I got the benefits after 1 sailing and have been given an automatic bar tab for each booking, way more stuff is included than other lines already but that just makes it even better. The coffee credit enhances this further. The bag of laundry was also a great service and very welcome whilst we've got on the ship much earlier twice due to priority boarding.
  18. The only way I see them changing those if the repositioning goes a different way entirely e.g. Portsmouth over to America.. I was booked on the Singapore to Dubai and used airline points redemptions and it's been so easy to get them refunded and use the points to get new flights. Is a great lesson if you happen to have points
  19. Hopefully you'll have some sort of idea about this by the end of February. There's every chance that if they change the repositioning route it could go a different way completely to what has been arranged for the March/April voyages. I think they would look to avoid a 5 night voyage possibly by cancelling another to make a longer one. It's hard to guess though what Virgin will do. A lot of people like me have had such good times on board that we're prepared to give them a bit of leniency on these issues!
  20. It's hard to know exactly as the Atlantic can be unpredictable but having looked in to this I would say for the crossing from Namibia to Cape Verde the seas will get gradually calmer and temperatures gradually warmer with each day. It could be a bit cool on deck for the first few days I think.
  21. 3rd leg Barcelona to Athens is on sale now I noticed, nothing particularly special about the pricing I don't think for the 5 night voyage
