You're very welcome! The National Institute of Cheer is very focused on customer satisfaction. That's why we would have given you your money back if we couldn't help. 😁
I thought it was double your money back.

HAL and Princess outsourced their websites to the same group in 2016, so both are managed by the same, outside, group.
As someone who has been outsourced.... Those companies are usually better at writing ironclad contacts than that are IT.

My dentist gave me an emergency DIY cement kit. I haven't used it yet but always take it on cruises.

It always surprises me how much pictures of tropical isles look like WV. Of course we have 5 inches of snow and are expecting 6 more tonight and tomorrow....

For any fellow geeks that wondered what the M.P.I. connector on the back of Rich's TV was.....
"MULTIPLE PROTOCOL INTERFACE(MPI) PASSTHROUGH
Supports external VOD/PPV providers or other external set-top boxes to control the LG TV."

You could install the FoxSports app on your tablet or phone and watch the game on that. You have to logon with your cable provider's account. I've done that and it works but watching football on a phone is less than ideal..

We try to get there at 10:30 AM and usually have no waiting in lines. By the time you get through security and check in, the ship is usually ready for boarding.
This is the way.

I always carry two machines, I can't sleep without it. We're lucky and rarely have fly to a port, so it isn't a big deal.
Sidenote, if you need CPAP parts while traveling, you must have your prescription. I left the water reservoir for my Air10 on a road-trip. It is not useable without it.
It was extremely stressful to locate the part in Fresno CA at 4:00 PM. I found it at a supplier, they were very nice, but they couldn't sell it to my without my prescription. I was finally able to get hold of my doctor and she faxed it to them. I was out the door by about 5:10 with my new reservoir -- it cost about $11 😀
Lesson learned!
Yet it appears you can order parts online. Interesting...

Yes, aligned that AI absolutely has a role in engineering, navigation, and certain passenger encounters (like the Dive In app you mentioned). But I don't believe it will be the life preserver @mcrcruiser is predicting; there are far too many "human" encounters (cabin stewards and chefs, for ex) that the industry depends on.
Interesting conversation, for sure!
Your new cabin steward.

No, I'm not noticing any more vibration or noise from any other cabin we've had, but that is a small sample size. This is the lowest deck we've been on and I did have an aft cabin on NA (deck 7). There is noise from the wake when you're on the balcony though.
Loungers + wake noise = naptime

I would think they'd be able to block streaming services regardless of whether a VPN is used or not. I'd like to be able to use a VPN to keep tabs on investments and bank accounts. Nothing nefarious.
Financial sites all use TLS so your communications between your browser and the institution's web server is encrypted anyway. I guess it's possible there are financial sites that don't use TLS. I'd find another "bank" if it didn't.

My Google Pixel 6a Android phone CAN be set up as a WiFi Hotspot. I know iPhones can't do this. Not sure about other Android phones. It worked fine for sharing the HAL WiFi connection with an iPhone and iPad.

The speed has actually been pretty good. I have had T-Mobile since about June of 2018. Since that time I have been on several cruises and this is the first time I have received the out of network message. The speed has always been good, and on this cruise in particular I have not had any problems using local data. In fact, I have watched Youtube videos on both my phone and tablet (both have T-Mobile service). I have also been able, for the most part, to use WiFi calling on the ship, and Whatsapp for calls and video calls in ports. I did make a couple of international calls at 25 cents a minute, also without any problems.
Thanks. I had GoogleFi (which uses T-Mobile in the USA) for a 49 day TA/Med cruise in 2017 and it worked great everywhere but Malta-and we were there overnight. Another person on the cruise that had Fi also had the issue. It was supposed to work but I assume it was just some type of glitch.

How's the T-Mobile data speed in most ports? I assume it's pretty slow but is it fast enough for email and other non-video "stuff"? Thanks for taking the time to post your adventure. Very enjoyable.

You may want to consider a cruise/land tour combo that includes a tour of Denali National Park. You're much more likely to see wildlife up close in the Park. Plus seeing the mountain is amazing. Also I'd recommend a whale watching tour in Juneau if that interests you.

For me it was 59 days before boarding. So I'd check the first thing tomorrow and the day after.

Have you heard of any issues with US citizens who were fully vaxed and did not get tested checking in?
I know that is supposed to be OK but there still seems to be some confusion..
Thanks in advance.

I booked a return flight via EZAir from SFO and the earliest time allowed was 12:00pm. (I know because there was an 11:45am flight it wouldn't let me book). That is for a Sunday disembark. I don't know if EZAir takes the day of the week into it or not. I doubt it.

So I just noticed this on the web version of the Ocean Medallion App. Maybe that's why there's a hyphen in the pop up message I got.
If not sailing on an enhanced guideline voyage, upload of a negative PCR/Antigen test is recommended but NOT REQUIRED to board
