  1. seeing as I have checked and verified this information via P&O Cruises website by doing two different ways of searching one search for under the section ''Ports To Visit'' then pressing ''LeHavre'' under that option list and another P&O Cruises website under the section ''All Destinations'' then pressing ''Spain and France'' under that option list then under ''When'' then choosing ''January - August 2025'' it looks like right now that P&O Cruises aboard their cruise ship called Iona is only calling at LeHavre{for Paris} for one time only in 2025 and that departs from Southampton, England, UK on Tuesday 1st April 2025 and it returns back into Southampton, England, UK on Saturday 5th April 2025.
  2. you can tell what time you are going to depart going off of what time the last shore excursion departs the ship on the day (also taking in how long the coach takes to from the ship to the destination and from the destination back to the ship again).
  3. I have zero sense of direction believe me. I got lost on there walking from the back of the ship lifts to the midship don't ask me how but it happened I had to ask for help.
  4. well on the P&O Cruises booking information it says we have cabin 8234 Prom which I believe is deck 8 from lona. however I'm still confused as to how we access them I've looked at video's online and I can't see any steps past keel ans cow only mid-ship lifts on the atrium. if anyone is on Iona soon and is in any of these cabins on deck 8 please could you do a video with a walk from the cabin door to the atrium as it would be much appreciated.
  5. so you mean we can get to see by walking though and past the keel and cow or just by forward lifts?
  6. after speaking to a lawyer this is what they had to say about the P&O Cruises & Maleth Aero situation. 1: Maleth Areo flight delays is not the fault of P&O Cruises as P&O Cruises airline carriers just book the flights on behalf of the P&O Cruises company, flights delays is the responsibility of the Airlines to be on time, Airports and ATC Towers for keeping flight delays down to a low minimum and who give Airlines their slots for take off's and landings. (however there is a loop hole in uk law regarding flight delays in that if delays are caused by "mother nature weather" which is out of the Airlines, Airports and ATC towers control or out of their hands as it were then the Airlines or Airline Carriers or Airline Companies by UK Law do not need to give a full refund as its not the Airlines/Airports or ATC Towers fault). but if the flight delay is caused by a system failure or issue with the aircrafts or strikes with Airport Staff or ATC Tower or Ground Crew or due to an issue inside the Airport Terminals(evacuations) then Airlines have to give a full refund as its their fault. 2: if the original contract between P&O Cruises and Maleth Aero did not include outgoing flight or returning flight entertainment, food and drink (then P&O do not owe money to Maleth for that period). however If Melath Aero produce written documentation that the original contract between them and P&O Cruises was updated to say P&O would pay them money to include food, drink and outgoing flight or returning flight service of flight entertainment, food and drink then P&O will have to pay Maleth Aero from the period that the original contract was updated.
  7. Option 1: the only way around it is asking P&O to replay the phone conversation between you and them where you request baby food and steriliser in your cabin as they are all recorded and saved for 10 years at their call centre to prove they promised baby food and baby sterilising equipment (if no note has been made on the booking its the call handler at fault and its P&O Cruises issue for making a customer service promise that they failed to honour) you may get a full refund for the cabin prices but you may lose the deposit cost of the cruise. Option 2: ask P&O cruises if you could bring your own baby steriliser and baby food aboard yourselves and get it in writing if they say yes in case anyone inside the terminal stops and questions you. Option 3 and this is only a last resort to stop you losing any money you have paid is to ask if anyone members of your family would be willing to look after and take care of your baby for a week if you can not get a refund or you can not bring your own baby bottle steriliser and baby food aboard yourselves. IF and I say IF all the above options fails then you won't be able to cancel the cruise as you will lose all your money including any deposit you have paid but you may be able to transfer the cruise to another date free of charge providing you have not transferred your cruise before to accommodate your needs and when or if you can move it to another date get it in writing that baby food and a baby bottle steriliser will be provided in your cabin so you have prove of that part of the conversation (also always ask for the call handlers first and last name, also write down time they answered and ended the call and on what date.
  8. we have a Conservatory Mini Suite booked for the August 2024 Norwegianfjords Cruise on Iona does anyone know how you get to these cabins as its not a cabin I or my Parents have ever stayed in before.
  9. on P&O Wifi Package website page it states the following Ultimate Wifi is £18.00 per day for the entire cruise (£108.00 for 6 nights on a 7 day cruise as you don't count the day you arrive back into port as they cut the wifi off from your devices that morning) or Ultimate Wifi at a cost of £24.00 per day pay as you go(£144.00 for 6 nights on a 7 day cruise as you don't count the day you arrive back into port as they cut the wifi off from your devices that morning) Essentials Wifi they wanted £12.00 per day for the entire cruise(£72.00 for 6 nights on a 7 day cruise as you don't count the day you arrive back into port as they cut the wifi off from your devices that morning) or £18.00 per day pay as you go £108.00 for 6 nights on a 7 day cruise as you don't count the day you arrive back into port as they cut the wifi off from your devices that morning) when I logged on this morning to my pocruises website page personaliser they wanted £107.10p for singles ultimate wifi package for 6 nights) or £71.40p for the singles essential wifi package or £214.20p for the ultimate multiple devices wifi package or £142.80p for the essentials multiple devices wifi package. it does not even cost them more than £10.00 a day in electric running the wifi hubs which provide the starlink internet on board.
  10. no offence meant here but NHS Hand Hygiene Website states and I quote "when experiencing diarrhoea and/or vomiting, or visiting a patient with these symptoms". (this would include during symptoms of Norovirus, Gastrointestinal illness or Food Poisoning). https://www.wwl.nhs.uk/media/.leaflets/64ad30111c7bb8.09150640.pdf plus alcohol hand gels only protect your hands and skin for a total of two minutes.
  11. today I searched for a 7 night Norwegian Fjords cruise with Celebrity Cruises aboard Celebrity Apex and P&O Cruises aboard Iona in July 2024. Celebrity Cruises aboard Celebrity Apex departing Southampton on Saturday 20th July calling at Zeebrugge(Brussels), Flam / Geiranger and Bergen in Norway and arriving back into Southampton on Saturday 27th July 2024 for 1 adult staying in a obstructed Infinite Veranda Cabin the cruise price for 7 nights for cruise only would have been a total price of £3,040.00 or if I went all inclusive which includes Classic Drinks Package, Wifi, Meals and Entertainment then the holiday would have been a total cost of £3,811.00 (the price comparison was done using Celebrity Cruises UK website) P&O Cruises aboard Iona 7 nights departing Southampton on Saturday 20th July 2024 and returning back into Southampton on Saturday 27th July 2024 calling at Geirangerfjords & Hellesylt, Olden, Stavanger, Haugesund and cruise-by's to Storfjorden, Sunnylvsfjorden and Innvikfjorden for 1 adult staying in a standard Balcony Cabin just the total cost would have been £2,768.00. however if I added the Classic Drinks Package at £48.85p per person per day and the Ultimate Wifi Package at £18.00 for the entire cruise then the total holiday price would be £3,127.95p(this price comparison was done using P&O Cruises website). P&O Cruises 7 day Norwegianfjords cruise aboard Iona is cheaper by £683.05p
  12. I would NOT EVER AGAIN travel with MSC Cruises not even if you paid me 1 million or 1 billion pounds after what happened to my experience with them back in June 2022. I was left in a freezing cold cabin for a week because the seal between the Balcony Cabin door and the door frame was broken and the engineer came out the 1st night and put a temporary fix on the seal and when he tried to see if the temporary fix would hold in place the fix would would break. I asked the hotel manager if the Virtuosa Cruise Ship was full and sold out and he said no, I asked to be moved due to it being freezing cold in the cabin (due to rain water and sea water coming into the cabin due to seal between the bottom of the balcony cabin door and door frame being broken) and they basically refused to move me and said the issue was not their problem. I ended up becoming seriously ill with a cold and suspected Covid on the night before arriving back into Southampton, the onboard doctor came out to my cabin early am the morning we were due to arrive back into Southampton, took my temperature which was a little high as she thought I had a fever due to having a cold, gave me 2 paracetamols and told me to wait 2 days before doing a test and to call them with the results(I was charged £220.00 for the cabin doctor call out) I called MSC Cruises 2 days after getting home to tell them I had Covid only to be told they were aware of at least 300+ cases of covid on our cruise alone. buffet food was awful and wasn't even hot (look warm at best). the Chocolat Cafe and Ice Parlour in main shopping area tasted incredible and staff in there, the shops, and the theatre staff was incredible too (rest of the ship mot so much).
  13. not anymore as like I said you are only allowed 15 alcoholic drinks per person per every 24 hour period and I believe once you hit your 15 alcoholic drink before the 24 hour period you are in is up you will stopped from buying anymore alcoholic drinks until the new 24 period starts.well I'm guessing that is how it will work on P&O Cruises from now on anyway
  14. you can buy the classic and deluxe drinks packages but you are limited to 15 alcoholic drinks in one 24 hour period. if you buy alcohol on board at the Duty Free or if you buy it at Cruise Ports Of Call they confiscate it from you, they keep it safe and you collect it on the night before you arrive back into your destination port to disembark the ship.
  15. the only spirit that does not smell, is odourless and tasteless and you could easily get away with taking onboard without raising suspicion to those checking bags and scanning luggage is Vodka and Coca Cola(in a coca cola bottle) or Vodka and Lemonade (in a lemonade bottle) as Vodka does not smell, its odourless and tasteless (where as Rum, Baileys, Archers, Tia Maria, Whiskey like Jack Daniels, Grey Goose, Groose, etc etc etc all smell, they have a colour and they have a taste to them even with Lemonade or Coca Cola or on their own). so the alcohol policy really is stupid and ineffective in a small way. personally and this is my own opinion I think think its being done as a way to get rid of the in cabin fridges(apart from if you declare you will need one for medication) and to cut down on cruise ship recycling waste but if its to cut down on recycling waste they need to offer more selection of alcohol like whiskey, spirits, larger, cider, beer, wines and get rid of the champagne unless you are celebrating a big birthday like 18, 21, 30, 40 etc, or a wedding, or wedding anniversary, honeymoon and lower the cost of the drinks packages especially as most of the bottles of wine, spirits, bottles & cans if soft drinks they buy from Bookers Cash and Carry Deluxe Drinks Package is now £60.50p per person per day (total for 7 nights is £423.50 or 14 nights total is £847.00 etc etc etc you get the gist) Classic Drinks Package £48.85 per person per day so for 7 nights its a total of £341.95p or 14 nights its a total of £683.90 per person Alcohol Free Package is now £26.95 per person per day so for 7 days the total cost will be £188.65p per person or 14 days the total cost will be £377.30p per person the Refresh Drinks Package is a total of £14.45p per person per day so the total cost for 7 days will be £101.15 or 14 days the total cost will be £202.30p per person and if there is two or more guests in a cabin each person must buy the same drinks package (quoted from P&O Cruises website)
  16. well expect your bottles to be confiscated and given back to you on the last night of your cruise as its happened to people putting bottles in their luggage when boarding P&O Cruise ship Iona recently within the last week or so
  17. I don't know re: HSEE but that is what P&O Cruises have said under their Alcohol Policy found under Code Of Conduct on their website
  18. its not the cruise lines making these new rules alcohol being allowed onboard its the HSEE making the rules
  19. everybody has been notified of the alcohol policy changes when P&O Cruises along with Cunard, and others made a public statement about it
  20. its not just P&O Cruises who this will effect it will eventually be rolled out to all Cruise Ships no matter which port in which country you depart from as its the HSEE making these rules and giving them to cruise ships
  21. I spoke to P&O Cruises Call Centre when the drinks policy change email to a travel agent went out one call rep told me no they could not be brought on board, then when i rang up again a week later to clarify they told me yes so i do not know. yet others have been told by P&O Cruises that there is no alcohol policy changes which is clearly false as I've already posted that the change is happening.
  22. your not allowed to take them onboard when you embark anymore. the only thing thing you can take when you first embark the ship is wine and champagne.
  23. this is true its now written under "Alcohol Policy" found under the section "Code Of Conduct" on P&O Cruises Website so people being told a change is not happening is false information and this comes into effect as of May 2024. this is to adhere to the "Health, Environmental, Safety and Security (HESS)"
