  1. Pat......I was told by Azamara same rules/penalties apply. I was concerned that Azamara would only do if final payment had been made, but no problem and new cruise shows when I login on Azamara website with OBC showing as well.

  3. Final payment was due n June 2020 for original. New final payment date 120 days prior to cruise date in 2021. I thought maybe Azamara would say can only switch if you make final payment but that was not the case. Very pleased as thought we'd have to lose out on good price we had. Itinerary is a little different but change was allowed. Like some things better with new itinerary. Believe this was very good idea by Azamara (RCCL) as we would have certainly canceled original cruise and now feel no risk to wait and see how things are before final payment next year and Azamara has kept a booking they would have lost. Hope others have as easy of transition as we experienced. Thanks again Azamara Art
  4. We had a great cruise with a good price booked for a cruise in Europe coming up this October 2020 and felt we would cancel due to Covid situation and some personal health concerns. Contacted Azamara to inquire about Lift & Shift - Rebook the same voyage. Phone call was answered promptly and spoke to an Azamara rep working from home. Was given 6 cruise options that would work for moving our cruise to 2021 but would need to go through travel agent as that is who I had booked with. Thought "Oh great this is going to be difficult." Well was Easy Peasy. Was able to switch to 2021 cruise no problem. Same price(current pricing was several thousand higher). room class, onboard credit stayed same. Went to Azamara website next morning and logged in and low and behold everything was in perfect order with new cruise and OBC showing. Now just hoping everything works out. GREAT JOB AZAMARA!!! Art
  5. Not sure if this has been asked or answered yet. What happens to OBC? Will it be applied to FCC or just lost?
  6. Being Discoverer Plus its an improvement for us. Sometimes we book a suite so that helps as well. Would be nice if was per member instead of stateroom. Additionally, would liked to have seen an extra bag of laundry after seven nights instead of having to be on14 night cruise to get and additional bag. Hard to go 13 nights for 2 persons on 1 bag of laundry. Regardless, it is better than what was it. Art
  7. Will be interesting to see what the changes are. Hopefully wi-fi and laundry will be part of it.
  8. I agree is very deceptive. I sent an email to my TA to book a cruise and he let me know was a NFD. Price difference for refundable was $800pp for a 5 night cruise in April 2021. Decided not to book. Felt deceived.
  9. Just wondering if Azamazing Evenings are ever held on transoceanic voyages? Is it a definite no or does it happen once in awhile? We are on 16 night Rio to Lisbon, but is probably just wishful thinking. At least there will probably be a white night.
  10. We booked an Azamara cruise while onboard Celebrity and received all the benefits except the additional $100 OBC even though on the first half of cruise. Was told only applied if on an Azamara ship. However, have heard people have received it.
  11. We usually do private tours as well and typically find them of better quality and value. On our last few cruises we have done a mix of Azamara excursions and private and on our own. We used Azamara when we needed a source to use onboard credit. Of 5 Azamara excursions, 4 had over 25 in each vehicle and were not that great as we were often waiting for people to return on time. However one was a Chef's Experience excursion and was one of the best we've ever had. We have a 10 day Azamara cruise coming up and have 5 Azamara excursions booked so hoping for the best.
  12. We also miss the casino. We especially missed the casino on our last cruise which was a transpacific and had many sea days.
  13. I agree is very disappointing that benefits cannot be combined. Almost as if you're being punished for booking a suite and leaves a bad taste. We are booked in a suite on a 10 night Azamara cruise and will only receive 1 bag of laundry. We are also booked on a Celebrity 10 night cruise and will receive 4 bags of laundry. I know they are different cruise lines but as Azamara is supposedly the premium brand you'd think you would not get LCV benefits cut because you booked a suite.
