Melody - The ports on this cruise are St. Martin, Antigua, Dominica, Barbados and Tobago.

The weather in Florida this morning is chilly and it will be the same tomorrow. I'm leaving Monday on Celebrity Silhouette, 10 night southern caribbean. 

Another option is staying close to Sawgrass Mills Mall in Sunrise. There are several hotels close by and a lot of restaurants. I know people who have stayed at LaQuinta that is reasonably priced. Not too far from 595 and an easy drive to Port Everglades.

Lois, Sorry to hear you are not feeling welll. Is the pain you are having around your waist? Is it severe? I had a kidney stone attack. It came on suddenly and with severe pain that didn't last long. It also caused vomiting. I drove myself to the ER, was given an ultrasound and found out I had a kidney stone. I had a second attack in the ER and was admitted. The third attack came very late that night. After that no pain. The urologist saw me the next morning and told me to drink liquids to see if I could pass the stone. I was sent home. Never saw a stone. Several weeks later, I had another U/S and the stone was gone.

I also read there are several things going around other than flu. One is norovirus. If you aren't feeling better, you could try an urgent care. Some may have limited hours tomorrow.

Another option is an excursion to Liarsville Gold Rush Trail Camp. The activities on this type of excursion are a salmon bake, a show with goldrush girls and the kids can pan for gold.  

As Miss Vickie mentioned, you are well past final payment date. You don't have a booking number and it sounds like you haven't given a deposit.  If you want to cruise in January, you should call Celebrity directly and see what they have available for the date you want.

I would not recommend taking 13 year olds on the train. As someone mentioned, the scenery is the same both ways. The train ride is long and involves sitting for a couple of hours. Not too much fun for 13 yr olds.  I went on this excursion because so many people suggested it. Frankly, I was bored and could not wait to get off.

Renting a car or asking the kids what they would be interested in would be a better option.

I am in the Ft. Lauderdale area now. This storm started Tuesday afternoon, heavy rain Tuesday night and continuing throughout Wednesday. A lot of areas received about 8 inches of rain. There was flooding in Ft. Lauderdale and flood warnings throughout So.  Fla. It was also very windy. It is starting to clear but there is a wind advisory until later this afternoon.

That looks delicious. I'll have to try this.

Woburn (north of Boston) has a Logan Express. There are several hotels very close to the bus. Very convenient and easy. Hotels are close to I95.

I saw this on the news tonight.  I enjoyed watching him on Friends. That show never gets old.  Sad  because he overcame many health issues.  RIP

Melody, Sorry to hear this about your family and Les's friend's sister. My condolences to you and your family.

I saw on tv Suzanne Somers passed away at age 76. I still watch Three's Company. So many celebrities are gone. 

What will you do with your luggage without a vehicle?

That is good news your insurance came through. 

I have learned to unplug the tv from the wall if there is a problem with cable. It seems to do the trick. 

The British embassy should be able to issue emergency passports for travel. Can they go tomorrow in person to speak with staff? They should take their travel documents with them to prove they have travel plans. Good luck.

The weather in the NE caused a lot of problems. Hope your flight takes off tonight and you can get home. 

Melody, Sorry to hear about your family.  My thoughts are with you. I am glad Les had a chance to spend time with his brother. I am a believer in doing things when you have the opportunity because things can change in the blink of an eye. 

I think the corn on the lobster roll adds a Mexican flavor.  I have never seen it made this way.

Lois, Glad you are enjoying your cruise.  I don't know the tv stations you receive on the cruise, but Hurricane Idalia is due to cross Jacksonville as a category 1 storm.
