  1. My wife is letting me handle the cruise thing, since it's our first cruise. I need to know what are things I need to make sure my wife doesn't forget? I probably should be doing this packlist for myself too, but I will be alright.

I just need to make sure I have everything she needs, and being a first time cruiser, we will forget something important if we don't start a checklist now.

    Chime in ladies...I'm waiting.

  2. I am getting married in September 2015. My fiancé and I have never been on a cruise and so we figured why not try one for our honeymoon. However, I am totally lost on how to even start. I know where we want to go (southern Caribbean) but how do I choose what cruise line etc? I've been reading reviews and trying to look at it that way. We originally wanted Royal because it seemed there was a lot more to do, and it shows all the excursions which we liked. His parents told us go Carnival. Does Carnival have more excursions then they show on their page? Does anyone have a preference on what cruise line is better? Thank you.

    Princess, or Celebrity.

  3. I know there have likely been other similiar posts and FAQs that probably address this question, but I'm looking for a very SIMPLE and SHORT condensed list for responses from those that know.

This is for those experienced, multi-night, multi-ship cruisers out there: What is a list of 5 items or less you now bring on board every cruise because your cabin doesn't have it, you can't get it on board and you've found it to be extremely useful? I'm primarily interested in items for the cabin, ie. extension cord or multi plug. Thanks!!

  4. My husband and I are travelling on CC in June 2015 From Venice on a 10 night Italy and Croatia cruise.

Is there anyone also travelling on this cruise?

We previously travelled on Celebrity Equinox ex Rome June 2012 and adored every minute of it.

I am a bit concerned about some of the negative reviews I have read regarding the Constellation.

Is there anyone who has travelled on both who can please give us some insight?

We will be booking on CC having travelled Aqua previously.

Fingers crossed for some really positive stuff as the Constellation has been refurbed :-)

Check into the roll call. many things come into play. I like all cruises.

  5. Good afternoon , first time cruiser. Breakaway My question is, is their a white attire night??? and is their a Captain's Gala Ball, which requires Gala Dressing???

    Welcome to CC.

No mater what the other's do, dress up, it always looks nice.

  6. We are leaving from Baltimore this Sunday...so excited but wondering about cabin access. I read it takes quite a while to have your luggage delivered BUT can you at least to into your cabin before then? If nothing else, to drop off your carry on stuff? Thank you!

I do this many times, no problem.

  7. On some past cruises on different cruise lines, I have noticed that the representation from the cruise lines has varied as follows:

On Royal Caribbean Brilliance one minor officer, one entertainment director, who arrived a bit late, thanked us, conducted a brief raffle, and left fairly quickly no information on new ships, or upcoming cruises.

On Royal Caribbean Allure --2 stage entertainers who thanked us, no officers, brief information on future cruises, a raffle.

On the Celebrity Reflection, 10 ships officers including the Captain, raffle, open forum for questions, opportunity to discuss ports and tours.

Norwegian Cruise lines Breakaway, Jewel, Epic.--Full complement of ship's officers, Captain to Ship's medical officer, who thanked guests, open forum for questions.

Only on the Celebrity Reflection and Norwegian cruises did I note the presence of someone described as a "Loyalty Ambassador" to give a presentation of benefits of continued loyalty to a specific cruise line and its ships and programs.

Are some cruise lines resting on their laurels? Might be a good Lido Deck questionnaire topic.

Different things do happen on each M & M. Some of them are good.

  8. Does anyone know if El Cid Morro Hotel in Mazatlan:

    1. Sells a day pass to cruise ship passengers

    2. What this cost is (ballpark), and

    3. If it's easy to find in the Golden Zone

    Thank you.

El Cid is great; they have a swim-up bar. The cost not too sure, haven't been there for awhile, ships are starting to go now. You are just a close distance to the Golden Zone.

  9. Has anyone experienced passengers in swimwear with no cover-up or towels and barefoot in the elevators? Some passenger's swimsuits were wet, and some were barefoot---making wet tracks through the hall and dripping in the elevator.

Remember when you had to wear a cover-up (or towel) when you were walking through the halls or in the Windjammer/Dining room? "Awkward!"

Kids will be kids, wearing their swimsuits. I don’t care for that also, good point.

Remember we would never be caught in our P.J's?? I see even adults doing the same thing, wearing P.J's.
