  1. *log into aarp.org

*click on the rewards for goods tab

*click on the "log into redeem points (or redeem points if you are already logged in)" option

*at the top in the black title bar click on "account"

*A list of each point transaction you earn and use shows up.. find the one where the points were deducted to pay for the gift cards

*To the right of where the points show being deducted should be "view detail," click on this.

Will show you the details of the transaction including a ship date if it has shipped.

Got it, thank you. What a coincidence, it says they were shipped today:rolleyes:

  2. Also, just so you know I have not received one "confirmation of shipment" email; however, you can log into your AARP Rewards account and look at your points transactions, find the one that deducted the points for the purchase and click on it - and this will show you the detail of your order including shipping information (date it shipped or if it is still pending). This is how I keep track of mine if they have gone out or not.

I can't find this "points transactions" in my account. Can you tell me where to go to find it???

  3. FYI, I ordered 10 - $100.00 gift cards from AARP on 8-19 and received my

confirmation email stating I would receive an email when my order was shipped. I received a call on the 20th from AARP to confirm I purchased the 10 cards and because of the large dollar amount I would have to sign for them when UPS delivered them. At that time I changed my shipping address to my work address so I could sign for them. As of today no email to tell me they were shipped. I called the 888 number on my confirmation of purchase and the AARP rep told me because of the large amount of cards it was taking longer to ship. I told her if I didn't receive a email confirming shipment by Monday I would call back.

They didn't waste any time charging my CC on the 20th:rolleyes:

  4. Margaritaville is free if you are just going to the pool. You can walk there from the pier and they do offer an all inclusive package for $50 pp which includes all you can drink and a burger meal. It's a nice pool with a flow rider (free) and a bar in the pool.

We just came off the Conquest from the July 4th sailing and that's what they offered. They do have cabanas but I don't know the cost.

The beach is also walking distance from the ship.

    Happy sailing!

I don't think the flow rider is free.

  5. Do they send you actual cards or are they e-cards? I use a TA and she said they will accept them but on line it says...

  6. Just finished unpacking on our Majesty cruise! We ended up using SAS and our driver, Larry, was great. He even stopped enroute to Miami so we could all buy some wine! Would regionally recommend them!

Was everyone on the shuttle part of your party or did everyone have to agree to stop to purchase wine? I am debating on shuttle or renting a car. I would like to stop and purchase soda and wine.

  7. We just got off the BA on Sunday. We got to the terminal around 10:30 and were in boarding group #8. I believe we were on the ship by noon. We went directly to Guest Services and got #59 & #60 for the Vibe passes. I believe they give out 74 passes. So glad we got them! It was great up there, met so many nice people and had a blast!!

We were also on this cruise and had boarding group #5, got to the port around 9;00. We got numbers 50, 51 ans 52.

  8. We live in Florida. Will drive and stay overnight; and I guess no late night activities so we can get there early. They don't enforce boarding times, do they? I've never cruised this line, but all others I've cruised let us on earlier.

We got to the port around 9:00. Checked our luggage and had a seat in the waiting area. Once we went through security they gave us a boarding number and told us where to sit. Around 11:15 they said we would board shortly. We finally boarded about noon and went right to guest services. There was a crew member asking people what they were there for and he was passing our numbers for Vibe. Then we waited in line and got our wrist bands and they charged our onboard account.

  9. Thank you for your review. We will be in 8124 on the Escape this fall; I know that they are different ships, but I think similar enough that we would love to see some pictures of the cabin, especially the balcony. We've sailed on Princess in mini-suites with the extended balcony and just loved it. Now, with two loungers, I think we are in for a real treat! Unlike those who only use the cabin to "shower and sleep", we love to enjoy our home away from home....including - gasp! - eating on the balcony  !!

    Thanks,

    Peg

Here you go. I hope your cabin is the same. The balcony was really nice and big. And the bathroom was good size also. Also one of the view from our balcony to the balcony above which overlooked ours. It was not a problem and I never saw anyone up there.

  10. Finding a cruise that will be fun for my nephew & enjoyable/relaxing for myself & mother seems difficult. Any suggestions? He's 14.

There is a lot for him to do on this ship, 4 slides (which looked really cool), rock climbing wall, rope course. mini golf, bowling alley, arcade. Not sure if you know, the Vibe is adult only, your nephew would not be able to go in the Vibe. If you are doing the Bermuda cruise you are only on the ship for 3 full days and in Bermuda for 3 full days. I think you will all be fine and have plenty to do, or not, on this ship with or without the Vibe. You can also try and get the Vibe pass for a day or two if available.

  11. This is exactly the info I need before booking a cruise. I can't stand pool overcrowding. I love pool life on HAL ships. Very few people in or outside HAL pools.

But, I was looking at this ship as a fun cruise for my nephew.

With as few passes available for Vibe, I'd be very worried that I'd be unable to get a couple and I would be extremely upset to be in a sardine situation throughout my cruise. My first cruise was a 3 or 4 night Carnival trip to Cozumel, and I had figured it's just the short cruises that had this issue.

I guess I'm trying to ask how high the risk of being stuck like a sardine would be?

Are all the cruises on this ship so packed?

This was my first time on NCL since the 80's. I think it is the way the pool area is set up on this ship (I don't know about other NCL ships). I have read on CC that alot of pople complain about the bad pool area set up. Most of the loungers around the pool area seem to be under the deck above so they are in the shade not sun. This is a night picture but you can see not much deck space around the pool area. There are many, many loungers on the deck above the pool.

  12. We had a folding luggage carrier that had bungies on it, then we got a "tiedown" and tied it to the bottom of the carrier on each side and up over the top of the cooler so it would not move side to side. If NCL wanted to get into it they could untie the tiedown. It did not look like they "messed" with it at all. It did not come up with our luggage, it come up a little while later. When we got off the ship we packed the carrier in our luggage and just carried the empty cooler off the ship
