We were in Quebec City on Oct. 13-14 this year, and they told us the leaves had peaked the previous week. They were still pretty, but a lot had fallen already. Temperatures were comfortable with a sweatshirt or light jacket. Definitely don't miss Quebec, whatever time of year.
There's also a lot to see on Prince Edward Island. (Charlottetown). If you're brave enough, they say it's a great place to rent a car and drive it yourself.

Kathy do you recall the cost of your pedicure?
You're in luck. I just paid the Discover bill and hadn't shredded the receipts yet. The fire and ice pedicure was $70 + tip.

I am staying at this hotel next Sunday for one night prior to our cruise out of the Port of Miami. I liked its location and it got good reviews on trip advisor.
There is a Publix grocery store across the street from the hotel so we can pick up our pop and water.
To the OP when do you cruise I will be doing a photo review when I return from our cruises and I will report back on this hotel.
We cruise the beginning of March. As I said, we liked it very much when we stayed there in 2012. We had dinner at the Mexican restaurant, using the hotel discount, and got our pop at Walgreens. We liked the shuttle service from the airport and to the port. The website is showing $5 per person for the shuttle to the port, which is still reasonable.
As I recall, the Publix grocery store was a bit of a hike, but I could be wrong on that.
Thanks to all who replied.

We stayed at this hotel back in 2012 and liked it very much. I know areas and management change, so we wondered if it was still a decent place, and is the area still safe? There was a plaza with restaurants across the street--is that still okay? Especially the Mexican one? They provided free shttle service from the airport and to the port. Is that still available?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

I had the "fire and Ice" pedicure on the Summit back on Oct. 17. That's the one with the hot stone massage. It was absolutely heavenly. The nail polish still hasn't chipped. Of course, I don't go around with my toes exposed at this time of year in Ohio.;)

What level do you enter the ship on?
On our Canada/New England cruise, we entered either on Deck 1 or Deck 3. It probably varies with the tides and itineraries.

We had anytime dining on the Summit recently. If you want a specific time, you'd better make your reservations as early as possible. We finally ended up showing up around 7:30 for a minimal wait, but that may vary from cruise to cruise. Since we didn't have a standing reservation, we ate in a different section almost every night. The headwaiters were uniformly fantastic. So were most of the assistants, although you could tell who was new on the job and just learning his responsibilities.
As for food quality, the four in our party all agreed that we never, ever, had a bad meal. Everything was great, and believe me, we'll send something back if it's not up to standard.
We had an oceanview cabin on deck 3, midship forward. But we booked 10 months ahead of time. I don't know what might be available 4 months out. Even though we were right off the atrium and below the casino, we had no problems with noise. The only place you might have a noise problem is below the RendezVous. The dance bands can get pretty loud early, although I don't remember how late they play. I think the after dinner music moves up to the top deck.
Enjoy your trip.

Why would anyone buy a watch on a ship?????
DH bought one of the cheap ones onboard because: A) his watch was dying, and B) it was cheap. One month back from the cruise and it's still running fine.

Coke Light is Diet Coke. Coke Light is from a distributor outside the United States.
Yes, I realize that. On a previous cruise, some guy was having a hissy because he wanted Diet Coke, not Coke Light. No matter how many times the poor waiter tried to explain, the guy still refused to accept that. So later in the cruise, we had lunch in the dining room, and we were telling our table mates about it. Someone asked if the ingredients were the same, and DH checked his can. His reply was, "I can't tell. They're in Spanish." But it tastes the same, and that's what matters.

We enjoy both lines. On our recent Celebrity Summit cruise, there was trivia at least once a day, sometimes twice.
As some have mentioned, the Century is a smaller ship, with not as much to do. Personally, I'd go crazy with a lot of sea days, but if all you want to do is relax, it would be fine.
On our Summit cruise, we thought the breakfasts in the buffet were the best on the ship. Dinners in the main dining room were great--we never had a bad meal. But it depends on the ship, the chef, and your personal tastes.
Enjoy your cruise.

Thanks to everyone for their anwers. It helps a lot.
Neither of us drinks enough soda to bother getting a soda card, but I do enjoy some with lunch. Coke Light is fine, but Coke Zero is preferred.

We haven't sailed Princess in a few years, and never on one of the big ships, and I am totally bewildered by all the various dining venues. I hope someone can explain things for me.
Which ones are for fee?
Of the three main dining rooms, will we be assigned to one or can we rotate? We have anytime dining.
What are all these other options, like the various cafes?
I have read that the Wheelhouse Bar serves a pub lunch on sea days. We only have one sea day. Will it be crazy crowded?
And while we're at it, does Princess still serve Coke products? Any chance they have Coke Zero?
Thanks,
Kathy

Thanks for sharing. It helps pass the time until I cruise on the Ruby in March.

The kits themselves are the standard ones you can get at any craft store. I think they include a few stock photos, but you have to decide if the price is worth it. IMHO, they're overpriced. And, sorry, but no, I don't remember how much they were. I just looked at them and went yikes!

I highly recommend the Taste of Eleuthera tour, getting out of Princess Cays and explore the island you're on. Fantastic people, amazing food, amazing place!
Please tell me more about this tour. Is it through Princess or a local company? We are not beach people due to sun allergies, and I would love to have another option for that day.

I know they have Zumba, at least on sea days. I believe it was held in the theatre.
I'm not sure about other classes, but the gym has plenty of treadmills and elipticals, 2 recumbant cross trainers, exercise bikes, and weight machines. DH said some of the weight machines weren't always working, but I had no problems with thr cross trainers.

Fresh squeezed grapefruit juice, and I believe also orange juice, are available for breakfast in the buffet for $2.50 a glass. Enter on the port side, by the glass elevators, and it's right there. I don't know what the bars have. The main diniing room also has fresh squeezed joice available at breakfast.
Enjoy your cruise.

Celebrity Summit
Cabin # 3099
Deck # 3
Class: Oceanview
Area: Mid-ship, forward, port side
Quiet: Very
Comments: This was a very good location. DH especially apprectiated being on a lower deck, since we didn't feel the motion as much when the seas were choppy. It's supposed to sleep 3, but I'm not sure how a third person would fit.

You are probably off the ship as I type this. I hope you and Barbara have a safe trip home. Thanks so much for your wonderful blog and pictures.
Let the deep cleaning begin while we kill time until our 5 pm boarding by going to see a movie.

Havanna Daydreamin' and Barbara,
Enjoy your day on PEI. That's one of the stops I am most looking forward to.

Thanks to those who have reassured me about the Highland Village. Thanks also for the beautiful photos of the buildings. I'm looking forward to seeing them.
Havanna Daydreamin, thanks for the fascinating commentary.

Oh, I want to hear about your "Heart of the Island" tour. We're signed up for that one. The reviews I've read of the Highland Village say it's very hilly, but it looks to me like there are stops along the way, not just one continuous long hill. Is that correct?
Thanks,

Thanks again for all your detailed reports and gorgeous photos. Unlike many who have posted, this has always been my #2 dream cruise, after Alaska. It's good to see that the leaves are turning. Hopefully we'll have wonderful colors in 2 weeks.

Love those moon photos! They're gorgeous.
Have a great day in Boston. It's one of our favorite cities.
Do you have any information of the Cruise Critic Connections Party? Like when and where?
Also, please let us know when the big brunch is held. We missed it on our last cruise, because they hid it in the restaurant times section rather than advertising it.

A Capella groups?
in Princess Cruises
Posted
This is not meant to put down the Pop Choir in any way, since I know absolutely nothing about it, but I don't think it's comparable to the Celebrity a cappella groups. Think four 20-something guys singing everything from barbershop to current pop favorites. (Plus providing serious eye-candy.;))
