  1. We are having a wonderful time on this cruise. I do think that staff is being pulled to do jobs that they aren't use to. I do wish they would make the international cafe more efficient, especially the coffee line
  2. My husband and I are on this cruise. Princess is doing everything they can to keep people healthy. I think they are doing a good job. Some passengers are giving the staff a difficult time about washing their hands and using the sanitizer. People are also very impatient. We are hearing alot of coughing. I saw a man in line at the buffet touch the piece of fish that he wanted. He also touched the one next to it. OMG Princess is doing a good job.
  3. My husband and I are on her right now..... no smells
  4. We also cruised during covid. I didn't mind one bit that they served at the buffet.
  5. We take all the precautions. I'm just wondering how big of an issue it was this past cruise. We were on the crown about 10 years ago when princess did a deep clean, we got on the ship and two days later they turned around.
  6. This was an interesting paragraph in the last email we received. "We will reach out to you should there be any additional changes to communicate. Please be sure you have your mobile phone number listed in your Cruise Personalizer"
  7. We board today. (Fingers crossed). We have received two emails from princess about the GI issue on the ship. Boarding has been delayed. Anyone on the ship now that can give first hand info?
  8. We are sailing on the Caribbean Princess. We knew where all the vista suites were located and any of them would have been fine for us. We probably would think twice if we were bidding a oceanview to balcony or balcony to mini unless it was super cheap.

    Sangria

My husband and I love Sangria but not the bottled stuff. Does anyone know if Princess makes their own or is it out of the bottle?
  10. I think it is automatic. We received an e-mail that said our bid was accepted and we have a new category and room number. It also said that the total amount will be charged to the credit card used to submit the offer and becomes final and non-refundable. We checked our credit card statement and the charge was there.
  11. One more thing.....we are now in club class, which we weren't in our original mini suite.
  12. My husband and I just got our bid accepted for a vista suite for the 4/15/23 sailing on the Caribbean. We were originally booked in a mini suite on the dolphin deck. We normally book a year in advance to make sure we get the room we want but we booked this cruise two months ago. No suites were available and very few mini suites. We took what was available and then decided to do a bid (our first). We bid the lowest amount we could. The cruise became "currently unavailable" shortly after we booked this cruise. We truly did not think we would have our bid accepted. We received an e-mail last night saying that our credit card would be charged for the bid. We feel like it was a good deal. The fare for the suite including our bid is still lower than if we booked it from the start. We will get a free specialty dining and we already paid our gratuities at the mini suite price. (We will still give our room steward a little extra) We are happy and will be sailing shortly.
  13. I'm the one who started this thread on March 3rd. I just got another phone call from "Princess" to offer me the future cruise package. I told the caller that I had already been called and said I was NOT interested. The caller continued to talk about the cruises I had been on. I finally told him to make sure I was on the "do not call" list and I hung up.
  14. Darn. I may take our chances and book it when we are onboard using our OBC. Thanks for your reply.
  15. We are using the app and would like to make reservations for Sabitinis. We have alot of OBC and want to use that to pay for the dinner. The app wants to charge our credit card. Is there a way to use our OBC? We are planners and want to have this all set before we board. Our cruise is in April. Thanks!
  16. I did a review at the end of our Panama Canal cruise in February. We took two excursions......one in Colombia and they other in Grand Cayman. We gave low marks for the Colombia one but good marks for Grand Cayman. Princess sent me an e-mail to ask for more information on the Grand Cayman excursion but not the Colombia one. Do they only want to hear good things?????
  17. I just checked the Princess website today. Our cruise is April 15th, Caribbean Princess. The "not available" has been removed and there are inside and oceanview now available. I really do believe they were just moving people around and filling in their guarantee rooms.
  18. What is the difference between "sold out" vs "not available" on the Princess website. Our April cruise has been listed as "not available" for almost two weeks. There were very few rooms available for quite some time.....Is Princess trying to figure out where to put everyone that has a guarantee room?
  19. Hopefully, Princess will end this. I don't think they will get many Platinum or Elite members to sign up for this. We already know how to travel and know this is a rip off.
  20. Thanks for that information. I feel like I would have to work very hard to get every dollar out of this package. Are the land and city stays where Princess normally has passengers booked?
  21. I've never gotten a call like this from Princess. I had just put in a bid for an upcoming cruise. I thought maybe that is what the call was about but all he kept saying was he would tell me in a few minutes.
  22. I received a phone call from Princess last night. The rep left a message that he needed to talk to me regarding a future cruise package. I called back and it was a princess phone line. I'm never 100% sure when I get calls. I did leave a vm and this morning the rep called me back. He wanted to make sure that he was talking to the correct person and had all my information, name, address, how many cruises I've taken, etc. He said that he had a wonderful package to offer me and told me to get a pen and paper. He wanted me to write down $7499. I asked what that was for and he said he would tell me in a few minutes. He asked me if I had written down the amount that he gave me. At this point I got annoyed. I questioned him again that I wanted to know what this was for. A second time he said he would tell me in a few minutes. I told him that I was not interested in anything he had to offer me because he wasn't tell me anything. Anyone else get a phone call like this?
  23. I received an e-mail this week to bid on a suite. I checked our cruise and it states "sold out" for all suites and mini suites. Why does Princess send e-mails when there is nothing available? We have a mini suite booked.
