I did several back to backs with he same room however like you I did change once to the room next door , and they cleaned the new room first, what I did was put all my clothes on hangers ahead of time and just carried everything that way , and put everything in the closet and then the few things that were in draws I threw in a suitcase dragged it over and I was all settled before we even had to meet downstairs at 10.00. They did offer to help, but they are so busy and It took us just a few mins.

I was on the same cruise and it was my fourth time, on the Pride 23rd cruise all together and what a huge disappointment , the food went way down hill, our cabin Stewart did not give us the paper to fill out he just asked do you want morning or night service, we chose morning and that's all we got.

     

    they did not have enough ginger ale to get through the week, with the soda card the adult pool always looked dirty , and the pool chairs were dirty, and the chair hogs were out there ...

     

    we went to half moon cay had a cabana and at noon was told a storm is coming you must leave, they are calling people back , at that point Carnival blew the horn and we panicked and left we walked the trail all the way back in the lighting and thunder storm only to find tenders were stepped for a bit so by the time we stood in line and got back to ship it was an hour and a half , along with people from next cabana . the guest service did tell us he heard the horns and thought yes they are calling people back he called someone on the radio about refunds for cabana and they said the sun is coming back out go had back and enjoy .. we were soaked and cold no thanks ( yes that was my fault) I beat myself up all day . but it was still cloudy out at that point and i could not possibly walk that trail again in a storm if it came back

    the rest of the week was awesome grand Turk and went to Dolphin encounter at Freeport and loved it very well organized

     

    The comedy shows were awesome , the pizza guys burgers and burritos were all awesome as well .

  3. The people who will be flying into Baltimore are the ones with the real problems. When sandy hit up here PHL was closed for days.

     

     

    and that would be me .... one more stress to add to my list .

     

    we always fly in the day before when we cruise but because its not winter and its only an hour we figured no big deal, I will not do this again.. however I do have insurance, I am assuming if you can not fly in, and the cruise is still on I'm assuming that is covered , I hope.

    Here is the latest update on our current position as of 3:45 AM - October 1, 2015

     

    We are cruising east along the northern coast of Cuba at 18.5 kts.

     

    Access to the outside decks is restricted due to heavy wind and rain.

     

    The most recent letter from the Captain states that we will dock at Freeport at 7:00 AM on Friday, and leave at 1:30 PM.

     

    The letter also states that we will dock in Baltimore at 10:00 AM on Sunday.

     

    I am so sorry you missed HMC , but glad your all staying safe, is it a rough ride,

    I will be getting on this Sunday and sitting on the edge of my seat .

  5. We leave tomorrow on the Pride - there is a one hour delay in getting in but current cruiser on the ship says they hit weather and needed to slow coming back up the coast. We have heard nothing more of anything that will affect us in that case. I know we'll be headed to the port at 11am!

  6. I think it's important to note that you have to fill out and submit the paperwork before each cruise, in order to get the shareholder benefit.

     

    In other words, just submitting the paperwork for a cruise this month does NOT automatically get you the shareholder credit every time you cruise in the future. The paperwork must be submitted fresh for each and every cruise you take. That's so that they can verify that you still own the stock.

     

     

    this is a good point and I have put down more then one cruise that I had booked on one paper and had to re submit the second one as it got closer so if you did not get it resubmit

When I became a platinum it was the second half of a back to back so the computer could not pick up that I was platinum , so Guest services insisted I was not, I went down 4 times to try and prove it as it was it was so disappointing when you wait for so long and no one believes you , but each time they told me they were too busy come back in a few hours so I wrote a note and left it , and I received an apology call and a bottle of wine , that it was a computer glitch. and to come down and get my new card, I have to say it took all the excitement away .

  8. my son was really looking forward to 50.00 pass at Margaritaville in Grand Turk, however it only included certain drinks which were rum drinks , so all frozen or rum and coke , no beer which is what he wanted and the food was one chicken sandwich or hamburger ... read the writing .. it was not unlimited food.

  9. I didn't attempt to use mine until the last night after 5pm, so I can't help you, but I do want to voice my opinion on this new "free drink" coupon. I feel like Carnival doesn't really want to give us a free drink, so they have made it only available the very last night (or for platinums, only in the MDR for brunch) in hopes that most will forget all about it. I think it's a pretty pitiful attempt to "reward" loyal customers.

     

     

    that's why I did not use it, I had a choice of a pool chair or brunch , I could not have both after 22 cruises it was disappointing

  10. Guests currently booked on the Carnival Breeze will automatically be moved to the Carnival Splendor. These guests will be re-priced to the lower established price for the Carnival Splendor and receive a $50 per person shipboard credit. Alternatively, if guests would prefer to move to any other Carnival cruise, they will receive a $50 per person shipboard credit. In addition, if guests elect not to sail on Carnival Splendor or choose another Carnival cruise, we will provide a full refund.

     

    this comes from John Herold ..... it states if you move to another Carnival ship you will get 50.00 per person .
