  1. To start I have already read TSA  regulations about this. Will be flying into Hearthrow from U S. For those who have done this previously what have you encountered when leaving the U S or going thru customs in Heathrow. Have you traveled with just a doctors list of your meds,or taken the containers, or meds in a weekly pill planner. Any promlems encountered with over the counter not in original bottles. Yes it is hell getting older and having to rely on pills, but us seniors just keep, keeping on.😁

We ate twice in Crown Grill on Enchanted over NYE. The first night I ordered the lamb chops and they were just ok, but DH enjoyed his steak.  The next time we ate there it was excellent!! The steaks were perfect and the service was great!  The only annoying part was the couple at the table next to us were talking about how young they looked and the man asked for 9 pats of butter at the beginning of their meal so they would be soft for when he wanted to put it on his food.  Yes, 9 pats.   LOL!
Sabatini's were wonderful and featured a new menu! The manager was so attentive and helpful! Great experience!
We have both booked for our upcoming Regal sailing.

Let us know did they really look young, or you can tell me on the TA in Oct.😀

  3. Wow alot of opinions on this subject. I feel that those who are taking up seats that others feel they are entitled to are more than likely people with interior cabins. Those who do not have a balcony to relax on will just up and grab any available seats. Perhaps there should be a clause that people with interior cabins can onle occupy certain seats for a maximum of perhaps fifteen minute before moving on.😉 Most certainly if you are cruising on the cheap you should not expect premium seating.😁 Our next cruise is in an interior cabin, guess I will have to check out the window seat at Vines.😉😄 Well time to pop some popcorn and wait for more opinions.😄

  4. Excellent steak or tough steak, after 45 years in the meat business I always had first choice of my steaks. Some times a piece of meat will appear to be a cut that will melt in your mouth, even I was fooled several times. Be it prime or choice, steaks  are just like people not all the same. We have eaten at Crown Grill numerous times only had one time that steak was not quite up to par.

  5. Also just finished this cruise have to agree with everything original poster reported. Although I did not go hungry in any way, I feel variety in Lido and Main dining were somewhat lacking. To many dishes that wre not in the least bit appealing. I realize that food  options differ among people I will say last Dec. on Holland food was better. Although I will certainly sail Princess again.

Soooo... maybe, maybe not. Wonder if I'll get a reaction if I just bring my Celebrity tote with me.

Wife said if she could not find her stash of Princess  totes she would bring a Holland tote.😁

  7. I have always used PCC personal cruise consultant. Now I see people using PVP which I assume is personal vacation planner. When did things change or have they? Seeing as how we cannot use their names, I will just say we have had the same one for quite some time and have always been impressed with her being so cheerful and helpful whenever we call. Received a call last night she wished us  Bon Voyage and to enjoy our upcoming cruise.

  8. Hidden deep down inside of each and every adult is a child. Don't worry about what someone may think, indulge yourself and go for it. By all means dress up in some sort of costume and relive those carefree days of youth. Wife and I will be on a cruise over Halloween, we intend to wear our hockey teams jerseys. I will more than likely have to leave my Goalie stick at home tho.😃

Have went thru some old posts don't have the time to waste reading about how much I can drink or what is this going to cost me. If you have had the pkg. I would appreciate hearing from you, if you haven't please just go on by.🙂

I really appreciate the positive posts from those who have sailed the troubled Crown as we are booked with a large family group on August 20. Because of the size of our group, changing is not an option, and  we normally sail NCL and have always been happy. This will be our second Alaska cruise and we upgraded to a club suite, knowing that we'd be unlikely to repeat excursions we've already done and wanting a comfortable place to hang out.

I also started a roll call and have had very little participation, which I've wondered about, and yet, none of my family is participating in  that either so ignorance of CC could be a thing.

So, I guess we are looking forward to a nice relaxing drive by Alaska. There's worse things in life!

Hope you excuse my tired eyes, thought you were talking about Sept. !0 not August my bad.

Just curious are you talking about the Seattle and back to Seattle on Sept. 10 on the Crown Princess? A gentleman, ron1946 started a roll call the first of Feb. There at this time are only 4 replys to the roll call.

Given that the Crown is going into dry dock in early October, there is NO hope of the propulsion issues being repaired before your cruise.  (It would have been done by now if it were possible.)  Unless you're a glutton for punishment and disappointment I would seriously consider changing ships!

I wonder did you even take time to read what I posted. We have done this cruise previously and been to several of the ports before. Just looking for a cheap seven day get away. Thanks for taking time to post tho. Actually don't care if they make any ports or if it takes an extra week to get back to Seattle.

  13. Doing the Crown cruise to Alaska in Sept, as we have done this before we are just looking to enjoy a get away trip. Was a party of four now down to just the two of us. Have been watching the Sept 10 roll call for quite some time, hardly any response four posts. One of which cancelled recently. Am beginning to think we may be some of the lonely passengers on this cruise LOL. Reason for this post is there anyone on CC who who is going on the slow boat or do you know anyone? If you have recently been on how was the trip and very many passengers.🙂
