You might want to bring a small inflatable swimming pool. You could use it on your balcony or on lido deck. It could also serve as a bathtub as most cabins are showers only.

Does anyone know when ta's start returning their blocks of unsold cabins? Is it after final payment is due or closer to sail date? Just curious as I have been watching fo price drops.

I am looking for a reasonable hotel ($230 or less) for 3/28/14. There seems to be a music festival that weekend which is making a reservation difficult for downtown Miami. Are the hotels by the airport good? Can anyone make a suggestion? Any help would be appreciated.

The main point of my post was to avoid unexpected visitors, you should use your deadbolt when you are in your room . You should also use your Snoozin card and take your phone off of the hook if you do not want to be disturbed while you are sleeping.

 

These were lessons that I learned the hard way.

These are very good lessons to communicate to our children that may be in the cabin across the hall. I have never had this happen but will also be more careful in the future.

I missed it! I called right back and the PVP that answered confirmed that it was an upsell call. Sadly, she also said that I couldn't get transferred and I would have to wait for them to call me back. Harrumph!

I will be happy with the room we booked but I sure do hope they call back.

We were offered an upsell which we declined at first. After reconsidering I called our pvp and he gave us the woman's extension and I called her directly to take the upsell. I don't understand why he said you would have to wait for a call back.

Just off the Triumph this morning, got the new bag. I like it, but unlike cruises past, we only got one. We used to get one gift for each of us - on the Magic in August we got three ball caps. But they only gave us one bag this time around. I talked to someone else who went to ask about it at Guest Services, and she was told that's the policy.

I have never had to wait with a party of 4. I would suggest you get there as it opens to make sure.

I don't remember which ship but John Heald had to post an apology regarding the meeting being held in one of the bars.

Carnival doesn't automatically add gratuities for children under two. That's the only break I have encountered.

If someone has a workaround, please post here.

-Since debarkation is so early, if you have a later flight, get a day room at the Miami Sofitel. Our room was available as soon as we got to the hotel. Relax in

your room or enjoy the beautiful pool!

I found the exact opposite of the original poster's drill when we cruised on the Miracle two weeks ago. The muster drill was very serious, drinks were taken away, cell phones were asked to be put away. Everyone was quiet. The staff demonstrating the life vest stood on chairs so all could see in the back. Both the Captain and the CD spoke and there were definitely more staff at the drill. More emphasis on safety than I had seen in 26 cruises! I was impressed.

On the 3/25/12 Miracle they also did a head count at each muster station. They had to report in the count and we were told the drill would not end until the bridge had the count from each station.
