There is actually an option to bid on these for $130pp. Motion is not an issue for us, but not being able to use the balcony due to wind would be.

Is this true on the Royal class ships? That would be a deal breaker. I spend a lot of time on the balcony.

Realizing this is an opinion question, we are able to bid for an upgrade to Club Class for our upcoming Enchanted Princess cruise. The price is $165pp for 10 days. Is it worth the upgrade? Right now the cruise does not show any CC cabins available, so unlikely we would be upgraded anyway. Any downside to CC, especially given our cabin would be assigned without choice? Thank you.

Just found this screen on my reservation. I was looking at the information under beverage packages. An interesting question. I’d love to be able to upgrade to some of the $18 wines for $3.

I am curious about this as well. We have the Plus Package - 50 for our 2/7 cruise. When I go into the cruise record, I still get the option to upgrade my cruise experience. The Plus Package shows drinks up to $12 and the Premier up to $18. Not sure where others are seeing the ability to already get drinks up to $15.

That is the route and we will hit several new ports for us. Glad to hear the positive feedback.

We’ve talked to a few folks who have sailed on HAL lately and were very happy with the experience. Go figure. Pretty sure we’re going to book the Rotterdam TA in October. The ship looks beautiful and the music venues look impressive. I believe the extensive music venues are only on their new ships. We’re open to giving it a shot.

This was not the case in December. I assume the current menus will be in place until the effective date, then a complete change over.

I’ll answer from our perspective. We have cruised both lines extensively. After Covid it just worked out that we were able to book Celebrity for several cruises and loved it. We also had significant credit with Princess to use due to a long cruise scheduled with Princess in March 2020. We just completed a 16 day cruise on the Ruby Princess. We were underwhelmed by the food and the entertainment. There were a few good entertainers. The buffet was a huge disappointment. The MDR was hit and miss. Crown Grill was excellent. The highlight was the crew. They were gracious and fun to visit with. We have a cruise on the Enchanted Princess in February to use up our remaining FCC. We’re keeping a open mind. But, overall we’ve come to prefer the food, entertainment and vibe of Celebrity.

I don’t think the new pricing takes affect until late February. We just did 16 days on the Ruby. We upgraded to the Premium package as we’re wine lovers and were afraid the offerings on the Plus package would be extremely disappointing. I will say, the Premium offerings were definitely premium. However, there were decent wines on the Plus package as well - Decoy Chardonnay, Meiomi Pinot Noir, Ferrari Carano Merlot are some examples. We are going to stick with the Plus package on the Enchanted in February. We have quite a bit of OBC so will upgrade individual glasses as we want. Wish there was the option to upgrade just the beverage package without all the other stuff. Plus, I wish it could be done onboard if you find the offerings not to your liking. Both are available on Celebrity.

However, if you like a smaller ship the Summit is wonderful. We also really like the Equinox.

Thank you for the information. My husband has decided he doesn’t want to be gone so long. We have used SAS in the past and they would have been my first choice for transportation.

Considering a cruise out of Miami that gets back into port the same day we already have a cruise booked out of Fort Lauderdale. Different lines, Celebrity and Princess. The cruise out of FLL departs at 3:30. Barring anything unusual happening, this seems reasonable. Anyone with experience doing this? The last time we did something similar we had a night in between.

Are boosters still required?

We have always had the same experience. We promise, with a capital P, to bring back the glasses, then always do so. Celebrity has all Reidel, which spoils us.

We have been on several Celebrity cruises in the last year and feel, overall, their wine offerings are a bit better than Princess. But, we have run into availability issues. Generally, they have found us an alternative. If we have that issue on Princess after upgrading we certainly won’t be happy.

Appreciate the feedback. Since this is a 16-day cruise with lots of seas days, paid for mostly with bonus FCC and enough OBC to cover shore excursions, etc., we’ve taken the jump and upgraded to Premium. Seems our cabin must have had a price drop as the upgrade didn’t cost us the full amount.

Looking for current feedback on the wines being offered onboard. We have a cruise coming up on the Ruby, have the Plus package. We have to admit to kind of being wine snobs. We didn’t upgrade to the Premium package, as we initially thought we’d be money ahead to just pay the difference per drink. Any copies of the current wines being offered? Experiences with wines on the Plus package? We’re doubting our decision to stay with the Plus package. Also have the option to convert some credit cart points to OBC if we’re going to be upgrading most of our drinks. Help! Thank you.

We are taking a Panama Canal cruise in December and driving back home afterwards. I thought this might be a nice time to get us each one of the plush Princess robes. They are no longer available as a gift item to purchase pre-cruise. Can anyone confirm if they are still available for purchase onboard and approximately what is the price? Thank you.
