We saw stuff on our own, took the bus.
Don't miss the sunset and Oia. It looks like this...

Football is a cold weather sport. I suggest anyone who doesn't realize that should educate themselves about the famous "Ice Bowl" game between Dallas and Green Bay played years ago. Even more recently the Giants played the Packers in extremely frigid conditions on their way to the Super Bowl.
The Super Bowl is a huge production with dozens of other events surrounding it during the week leading up to the game. The game itself can easily be played in the snow and cold, it's mostly the show surrounding it that suffers in bad weather.
The difference with this game (super bowl) is...no tailgating, and you have to be in your seat like 2 hours before the game starts with little to do but freeze. Who would pay hundreds if not thousands of dollars to do that?
You never see a empty seat at the game on TV but you might this year.

Yesterday in Howl at the Moon on the Getaway, the person next to me at the bar bought a few drinks including three bottles of Bud.
When entering these, the server obviously pressed a wrong button, as they were charged at $100 per bottle. Add on another couple of drinks, plus the service charge and VAT and the total bill was over $400.
Good job he noticed, or he would have had a hell of a shock when he got his final bill this morning. :)
At Yankee Stadium 11 oz beer, "souvenir" cup: $9-$11-$13
5" hot dog is $5.00.
Pay for a round for your party of 8...well you do the math.:D
I'd rather be on a ship!

Thanks for posting that photo.. it's making me so anxious for our POA cruise in early May :D
Shot from deck 13 aft at the Mai Tai happy hour...and your welcome.
-
A little misty the day I was there.
-
Just a note, deck 10 aft rooms are directly below the outdoor deck of the aloha buffet.
I just returned from 10180 last week and they start moving those chairs around before 6am every morning.
Loved everything else about the aft balcony though.
That's why we picked deck 8:D

We were in room 8206. I have been on this cruise 4 times now. 1st in a midship balcony room 8100 and the next two times in forward cove balconies. My fave was the aft.
We leave in 15 days in cabin 8208 right next to 8206.
The better half will be happy they have the loungers....and that will good for me!

I would definitely buy travel insurance as you never know what might happen. The cost is very small, as to what you would get back just in case. We usually buy our travel insurance through Travel Guard and we find them to be excellent and is cheaper (with good coverage) than the cruise line. Give them a call and you will see for yourself.

Travel Guard X2;)
Insurance...never need it until you got it.

In NCL muster drills, they say in case of an emergency, don'tgo back to your room...that jackets are available at the life boats.
That's if you make it to one.

I agree Terry. The Concordia accident was almost like the Posiden (sp) Adventure movie.
Not like a power failure or a fire. They arrested the captain!
Among the many accounts of what happened, one thing I read said the ship was not supposed to be where it was when it hit the rock that was not on the map.
Add to the mix, language barriers and general hysteria of the passengers and a 20 degree list. I think it was a miracle more people were not killed.
Muster drills are for the lawyers and insurance companies peace of mind ;)

We are on the Dawn 9/28/08. Our fifth cruise with NCL out of 7 cruises.
Never been offered an upsell or upgrade.
Been offered a ton of $9.00 girl drinks though:confused:
Book Air Through NCL
in Norwegian Cruise Line
Posted
I would think if NCL booked the flight they are obligated at the very least to get you to the next port of call if the flight was delayed.
But I might call them to see what air delays they are talking about.
Are you going soon??
As you are well aware this winter is a killer. Flying across the street could be an adventure on any given day.
If your going in better or more stable flying weather you should be fine.
