Just got off a b2b2b today. The first 2 weeks we got the box with the note pads. The 3rd week we got both the box and night light. The night lights are nice with a blue glow. We traded in a set of two boxes for two night lights. The boxes will be given to my great grand kids for some of their trinkets. It was hard packing 4 boxes though. Kids will love them.

I think it should be at 15 minutes, 30 is way too generous. I don't know why anyone could be so late, it's not like you're stuck in traffic or anything.
I so agree. 15 mins. is plenty lead way. No traffic jams to get caught up in. I am guilty of waiting for 5 to 10 mins. the first night because the line is so long, but after that, I am on time.

I loved the Splendor. Everybody keeps talking about how pink it is. I just didn't see it. I saw a beautiful ship. I loved the retracting dome over the main pool. I have only sailed her once to Bermuda in May of this year and found her to be a lovely ship.

Welcome to the club. As others have said, you will get to enjoy your benefits on your platinum cruise.

My great grand kids loved the visors. Now they want one for their friends. So please don't cut them up, I will take them.

Thanks for taking the time to post. Love hearing about the Magic. Sailing her on Christmas Eve. Glad you had a nice cruise.

I've done this itinerary about 15 times and it never gets old.
Cayman: options are :
Sting Ray City, 7 Mile Beach, and various snorkel tours - maybe even combine all 3!
Cozumel: Mr. Sanchos, Nachi Cocum or Paradise Beach are pretty much along the same strip of sand; shopping in San Miguel, the main town (go off the main street and explore a few streets inland); island tour.
Roatan:
Tabyana Beach (on West Bay Beach), Little French Cay and Maya Cay are great combo beach/snorkel stops; independent island tours; avoid Mahogany Bay
Belize: Caulker Cay, many snorkel spots on the largest reef in the hemisphere, cave tubing, rappeling and zip lining, Mayan ruins like Xanantunich or Lamanai, not Altun Ha.
Have fun doing your research (google and trip advisor are your friends, as well as CC port of calls ) and making your decisions.
May I ask you, why not Altun Ha. I have never been there but have plans to visit in a couple of weeks. I have been to Lamanai Ruins which I really love but that would be the only place we could go. I have 2 new cruisers with me that want to do a city tour, rum factory and Altun Ha. What did you not like about it. May have to consider a change of plans. Thanks for the help.

I have seen it on Holland but never on Carnival. On Holland you put your shoes in a basket in the closet and they would shine them for you. I don't know if Carnival has ever done this.

I have orders for cruises coming up and ask for first night delivery so no taxes charged. Just tell them you don't want to get charged taxes. Worked well for us.

I posted the menus on another thread last week. Here's the link:
Thank you for the link. Sailing with 2 new cruisers and it will help them plan.

Is there a beach close to port in St. Thomas? Wanting to do things close to port. We will be on Carnival Magic. Thanks for any info.
-
I would love to see the menu also for the same reason. I will be following this post. Thank you for your time.

Heading for the Magic in 3 weeks. Sure hope it's the night light. But will take what ever they give.

Smarks, we'll be on the same cruise with you!!! Can't wait! And I'm bringing Command hooks with me. Magnetic hooks will work as well.
Hope to meet you onboard. It's a first holiday cruise for me so a new experience to start the New Year off right.

Just a thought here. With their new policy on having all decorations fire proof, they may not allow you to hang hats on the walls. I'm not sure about if they would consider hats as decorations or not.
Thanks for the reply. Since I am going to have hats with me, shouldn't make a difference if they are hanging on the wall or on a hook on the wall. Hope that's the case anyway.
-
If they were magnetic they'd cause all sorts of problems for navegation equipment.
Ha Ha. You are so right. To late to change it.
-
They are metal and magnets will stick to it.
That's great. Thank you for the quick reply.

Hi everybody, I will be on the Magic for the 1st time in Dec. I love hanging hats and stuff on the walls and doors with magnets. Are they magnetic? Thanks for the replies.

Wow, thanks for the info. I missed this somehow. Good to know. I am booking the Vista on my next cruise. I will be sure to head to the Red Frog Pub (my favorite place) as soon as I board.

Thanks for the review. I have read some not so nice things about the Paradise. I have her booked for a 10 day cruise to the Panama Canal and I am not very excited about the ship. We have lots of friends going and that will make it better. I have been on older ships and the personal were great and very attentive. I think I would have reported the cabin steward to the hotel manager. Sounds like he didn't want to be there. Hope they can get it straight before I board. Thanks again for the review.

I can't see much difference other they are longer. They do have the 80's throwback and the midnight buffet. Some of the games from the past are brought back. They are fun all the same. I have been on 2 so far and have a 3rd booked. I do like the longer cruises though.

Thanks everybody for this information. We have been declined many times. Now we will be armed with a little more info. Thanks again.

Just saw a post that the new liquor pickup policy has not been changed and the video of John announcing this has been removed from his page.
I read that also. Sure are a lot of unhappy folks. Myself included.
