If you have made an offer it will appear when you go to the same link above when you input your name and Rez#

Alternatively, if you’ve made a bid you’ll have received an email titled “We received your RoyalUp request” which contains links to cancel or modify your bid(s). Follow any of those links to see the status of your bid(s).

    Ok….thanks!!!

Received email today Thursday and sailing this Sunday.

    That is the "acceptance"?

Sorry...I didn't word my question very well.....I am curious about the "initial offer to bid".

I understand the acceptance can happen anytime up until actual sailing.

Thanks for the quick reply though.

  3. What "day of the week" has everyone received their email "Offering the Option to Bid"?

Just curious if there is a pattern?

Is it always on the "same day of the week" that your actual sailing departs?  (In other words, if your sailing departs on  Thursday did you receive your "offer to bid" on a Thursday? If your sailing departs on a Saturday, did you receive the email with the "offer to bid" on a Saturday?)

  4. Had it booked 4 times previously....all between $59 and $79 pp.

Of course, all 4 of those cruises were cancelled.

We would like to try it in the $59 - $79 pp price range but no way will we pay the $169.99 "price reflects your discount"!

We will use the "complimentary" areas or most likely just stay on the ship!!!!!!

Is there any part you'd be willing to do on your own?  I'm thinking specifically of the ferry ride to Capri and back.

The reason is that there are several different types of licenses for guides in Italy.  Technically, someone who accompanies a group from place to place is a different kind of license than someone who guides a group at a location.  Licenses are established at the regional level, and both Naples and Capri are in the same region (Campania) so that's not an issue.  Some places require location specific guides, ones that I've hired stayed with the group and led us around on Capri, but we did not go to Villa Jovis.  Because that's a site regulated by MiBAC (Ministry of Cultural Activities and Tourism) a specialized license is required to lead groups there.

There are lots of specifics but overall the difference is that a tour manager license allows someone to travel with a group while a tour guide license allows one to lead a tour at a location.  That's why you might have a hard time finding one person to do both tasks.  It's not impossible, people stretch the rules, but finding them might be a little difficult.  The easier route would be to pay a company for two employees, a manager to oversee getting you from place to place and a guide to lead at the locations.

Thanks for all of the info…but…no…not comfortable doing any of the Capri portion on our own.

The details are much as they were............"Miami" made the decision for "X" to cancel B2B2B's - still no reason except "we were to follow the new procedure" - no B2B2B's and Future Cruises were not to book B2B2B's............then a new conference call to rescind that procedure. The other brands were not a part of the debacle. So yesterday and today B2B2B's are allowed.................tomorrow - who knows.

Unvaccinated passengers can only be onboard for only one cruise - B2B is not allowed.

We went to the consecutive cruisers meeting and we all had our antigen tests in the room next to the meeting spot............very quick. Tomorrow we all meet at 9:45PM to go through immigration showing passports & original vaccination cards - then proceed to a desk in the terminal to get our new sea pass cards - then boarding the ship. There is a different procedure for those going ashore or on Fort Lauderdale tours (Celebrity sponsored).

Thanks for the update! I am so sorry you experienced this drama!  So glad it worked out for you!

    Massive?

the Beach Club is nearly $180 for my cruise, highway robbery

Agree. That is also the case for our December cruises.

While I might can "afford it", I won't pay it.

    The current pricing is ridiculous.

I Had the Beach Club booked for 3 different cruises last year and the highest on any of the 3 was $69 pp!

I get that they need to recoup the losses but TRIPLING the price is just not acceptable in my mind.  I am sure there are many that disagree and are willing to pay it though!

  8. I am very disappointed in RC!  I believe they should have "stuck to their guns" and held on with the "vaccinated only policy" and DeSantis would have come around and exempted the cruise lines from his fines.

While RC (and all cruise lines) have the option to change their policies and "terms and conditions", I agree that it is irresponsible of them to sail "knowing" they have Non-vaccinated passengers on board!!!!

  9. Just to update everyone....

I just got off the phone with a very helpful representative.

Any Visa points redeemed for OBC....for cruises that have been cancelled so far....the credits are being held.  You must call them prior to April 30,  2022 to reapply to another booking .  (For sailings prior to Sept 30, 2022.) So it sounds like these follow the same time frame as the FCC policy.

We went in Dec and will be going later this month.

The crew wasn’t allowed to help just tell you how to do it and once in a while would do a demonstration. The advanced time was really limited as well. I believe 1/2 hour at the beginning and end of day.

It did seem that you were given more time to ride however the line was constantly long but our cruise last year on sea days it was long too.

    Thanks.

I wasn't watching too closely so I didn't see how the crew members were helping people in/out of the Flowrider, but I'll be on Quantum again on Thursday so I could take a closer look. As to the line, both masks and social distancing were required:

    No description available.

Thank you so much!!!!!  Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!

  12. Mr. Ski is curious as to how the Flowrider is currently operating on the sailings out of Singapore.

    What has changed?

Do they still help you in? (touching crew member?)

    Social distancing in line?

    Masks required in line?

    All factual comments/experiences appreciated.

Please do not express an opinion on what you think should be done, only share any experience you have had or that has been shared with you from someone who actually has the facts.

    Thank you in advance!

I believe that the Marriott and the Hilton are both located at the airport.

No, the Marriott is a couple miles away. The Hilton is physically attached to the airport.

True. My point was that it was not in Rome and for sure not close to

the Vatican as the OP thought it might be.

Thanks. Both Marriott and Hilton have “family brands” in Rome.  Not necessarily “regular” Hilton or Marriott but both have multiple options within the “brand family”.
I do very much appreciate your replies.

A little more info on your plans would be helpful. Rome is not the best place to use loyalty points on a hotel, and the Vatican is not the best location unless that is ALL you are planning on doing.

How long will you be in Rome and what do you want to do while there?

There are no Marriotts or Hiltons close (walking distance) to the Vatican. There is the Le Méridien Visconti Rome (4 stars) which is part of the Bonvoy program; about a 20 minute walk to the Vatican. Not a terrible location, but not the most central either.

As I said, a little more info on your plans might lead to additional suggestions or ideas.

Thanks so much!  Yes...the Vatican is our primary/only plan this trip.  We have "hit" all the other "sites" previously.  Not sure if we will use points or pay $ but Mr. Ski is fairly adamant about staying at either Marriott or Hilton properties.
