  1. Except I would like to pre-book and don't want to pick day 6, with the menu I see, and have it change once on board.
  2. Not sure yet as this is the first time we will have 27,25 and 16 in a room. And even though the girls are in their 20's, I am sure there will be discussions when someone unplugs a phone for a hairdryer or whatever it may be. Phones, fitbits, smart watches, portable chargers, at least 1 laptop, 3 tablets? I dont know and would like to be prepared.
  3. OK. I misspoke. Not chromecast, but google cast. It says the TV and phone need ot be on the same network. That is probably asking to much. Hopefully the firestick with the VPN App loaded on it will be sufficient. I have been considering an ethernet connection for the firestick. Wonder if you pull the ethernet from the tv, or perhaps bring a splitter with cords, if it would keep that firestick powered. Way too much thought for tv on a cruise. Thanks for your help.
  4. Thank you. And thats just the us plug, right? Should i get somethign european to expand the options?
  5. Direct guidance needed. On Edge in November we could not get anything to stream to the tv using chromecast even though we were told we could. There was no input to be able to switch it to receive the cast signal. Going on solstice in 9 days. No refurb means older tvs? Is the best bet a firestick? Can we chromecast? Even if you plug in an HDMI port, is there an input option that allows you to navigate to that port?
  6. Ok. you are showing 2 us and a european here? going to have 3 under 25 in one room, need to make sure everyone has space.
  7. Prior to January 1, my app showed 3 or 4 different menus over the course of my 7 day cruise on Solstice on 2/18. However since January, only 1 menu shows for all 7 days. Does anyone have experience with this, since the changes started happening, and confirm that once I get on ship I will see more than the 1 menu?
  8. Chase was 17.12 today. There is an app, Remitly, that looks pretty good. Great conversion, can send to yourself. Close to 18.72. From what I'm reading the peso is coming on pretty strong in the world market.
  9. I ended up not buying today. The rate is not great right now.
  10. Resurrecting this post because I'm in the parking lot of Chase about to buy pesos. For those interested the dollar is weaker against the peso these days, or rather the pesos is becoming stronger. Just getting the pesos to make sure my tour operator is made whole even though it's costing me a bit more then booking through the big tour/travel site
  11. Im BCC as well, on 2/18 but I cannot get that price for the drink package. Not sure what I am doing wrong? Also not seeing 40% in my account. Bummed. Maybe I will keep checking as we get closer.
  12. I realize the recent sailings have been low in numbers, but I would love to know how long it takes to tender into Cabo. More like, the earliest I will be on land. Or maybe even - port time says 12:30, what time is everyone booking their tour start time?
  13. Would love to know how long it takes to get off in Cabo. I'm not sure which board is the most appropriate to post this question.
  14. $115.96 for 4 adults. I am not sure I want to deal with a potential hassle of uber, changing price for prime time, etc. Has anyone opted for this service?
  15. Dang!! Scrolling through my email I see nothing. But will keep checking! Great offer!
  16. Jealous of your 5! We were able to book 3 so far. Sailed 1 in November. We have 1 in Feb and a 4 night in March. November and February we were able to get 4 people per room. The March I was only able to get the rate for 2 per room. I am worried that it's the start of my less to no offers. I really hoped I would get another so I could cancel March and book in April for husband's 60th, but it seems the well has dried up. Crossing fingers is just the holidays that slowed them down and an April offer will roll in!
  17. I think this, if it hasn't been cut back. I read alot about the edge locations prior to our edge cruise. Full cabana for 4. What I don't remember reading, is on our 4 day cruise, the magic carpet was parked at the pool deck, so most of the cabanas, if not all, had a view of everyone on the magic carpet. And in return magic carpet of the cabanas.
  18. We did a 4 night on edge in November. Introduced us back to cruising as it had been a few years. 15 year old had some form of beef every night and really enjoyed his prime rib slice. However, out first day, lunch in buffet, he did grab a piece of something, looked like beef. He vehemently declared it inedible. I took a bite, trying to assure my son not to be a snob about the food for the next 4 days, but he was right. Looked like you could chew it, but couldn't be done. Very odd and I assured him it was a one off. Anyway, every beef cut he had in mdr was chewable, so perhaps they set the bar very low with the first lunch! I just told him about the no more prime rib reports, we have a Feb solstice coming up, and he is not happy. He said , I really liked that one! It does appear we will be having a Thanksgiving dinner on chic night...
  19. We had a tough time with UberXL in Fort Lauderdale and I am debating if I should book a "sure thing". The morning we were leaving the hotel to go to the cruise port I had one XL that took my ride and after 20 minutes never left the spot it started in. The second proceeded head to the cruise port without picking us up - can they actually double book? Anyway, eager to get to the cruise, my group was getting antsy. Third time and 45 minutes later, we were picked up. When we were leaving the cruise port, XL there within 5 minutes. Seamless. Would like to get a feel for what is happening there, especially on departure morning.
  20. This past cruise it appears I got the points for my room and the room booked under my husband's offer. I got double he got none. Could it be you had 2 rooms?
  21. New to LPC. I am in the app looking at dining for my solstice cruise in February. Scrolling through, then menu is the same on days 1-4 and changes on day 5 and says it has the boulillabaisse and lobster tail. (I assume this is when the main dining room offers lobster tail?) Day 6 Has a Spring, Summer, Fall Winter Menu and Day 7 repeats day 6. Do these seem like accurate menus? My son will be 3 days shy of 16 when we disembark so wanted to have a special almost birthday dinner. Was thinking this would be the choice. Unless anyone can sneak him into Aqua - the one restaurant that "looked cool" on Edge. 😉
  22. Thanks everyone. Yeah I guess its luck. But splitting it up makes sense. I will have to get others in my party to bring some on for me. It didn't save me a ton of money but did save a few bucks and allowed a fresh pop for my double mimosas. Would have saved more if i remembered to bring a bottle opener! Bought one at the shop, a left over from the transatlantic cruise.
  23. I know this is a hot topic and not trying to stir the pot. The topic is discussed in the FAQ. 2 places I found so far: "Embarkation day when each guest is permitted to bring onboard with them up to two (2) bottles of wine (which are subject to a corkage fee) per guest." "Alcoholic Beverages (Note: On boarding day, each stateroom may bring up to two 750 ml bottles of wine or champagne." I know they contradict, but my question is: I brought 4 mini bottles of champagne on board. Total was less than 750.ml. I was briefly flagged, but waved on. I was doing the math and went for volume not quantity. Rereading, this again, I was wrong. Specifically says 2 bottle up to...so the 750ml doesn't matter, right? I ask because I am going again and those individual bottles were awesome. And wondering if others have run into this or not. I was lucky? Or is it somewhere that its the volume that's the point....(yeah, I'm trying for 8 next time!)
  24. Thank you! So no bingo at all?
  25. What are these cards we can pre purchase? Is it an actual game or just a chance at playing the game? Thank you!
