  1. Oh, good start. Be careful, though. Mods don't like the mention of that other site. I had a review pulled once because I mentioned it. SO, just say the social media site, you know what.

Is Taste accessible for those who don't want to use the stairs due to mobility issues ?

    Looking forward to the rest.

  2. Thanks for the review and all of the photos. I'm getting more excited about our Feb. cruise after seeing the ship through your eyes.

My husband will be using a scooter. Some spaces look like they will be a bit tight for him to move around. Did you see many people using scooters ?

I noticed that some venues seem to have stools vs. regular chairs. That may limit us in some ways. I want to do the painting experience, hope they have an alternative setting to using stools.

Yay, a drink that has chocolate. We've cruised Carnival and I always have to have their chocolate mocha getaways. What is that you had, do you remember?

Can't wait to read more. Thanks for doing this.

  3. Ok thanks. We leave on February 4th and neither show is listed on there. I hope they aren't sold out already.

My TA told me that although you want to make reservations for the shows, if you don't have one you can still probably get in. They let those with reservations in the shows first, then let those who are without reservations in next.

  4. I have just booked specialty dining for our cruise. When I look at the entertainment, I see two shows which are both described as, 'dining experiences.' Does that mean there are no other shows to attend ?

I was hoping to find entertainment to go to after our dinners. Are there other shows somewhere on the ship that are not dining related? If so, what are the typical show times? Thanks

  5. One caution about arriving at the latter part of the boarding process; the crew who assist with wheelchairs are not as readily available toward the end of the boarding process. We arrived around 2:30 to board the Breeze in Miami several years ago, but by that time, there were no crew members free to assist. They had all reported back to their duties on the ship. After a long wait, and several phone calls from port employees, finally a port employee was given permission to push my husband aboard. My husband had been seated in a wheelchair for the duration of the wait, so at least he wasn't standing but it was a long wait. We were disappointed that by then, the photographers who take the embarkation photos and their backdrops had also been removed.

If you arrive too early, there may be a wait for a wheelchair because they are in use for the passengers who are debarking. There will be an area where your mom can be seated while waiting for wheelchair assist.

As suggested, contact Special Needs. There is a place on the form asking if you need assistance with embarkation and debarkation. You will not have a problem.

Special needs will also provide wheelchair assist to be used for debarkation in the ports. Just call the Guest Services desk when you are ready to leave the ship at a port. The do not have wheelchairs for reboarding at the ports The key there is to go back to the ship early enough to avoid standing in line.

  6. Ditto for enjoying your review. We sailed the Pride for the first time in Nov. 15 and enjoyed it so much, I booked it for 11-16. We were also in a handicapped room to accommodate my husband's scooter. I also had the celebration decorations. Your photos of the decorations are much better than mine were. LOL

Loving all of the food ****. I was not impressed by the American Table offerings but seeing your photos of some things I did not order, maybe I'll like it better this year.

Can't wait to read the rest. Thanks for taking the time to post.

  7. (The Pride does not have the Italian restaurant. David's steak house is the only specialty restaurant.)

Having eaten at David's Steakhouse on our last cruise on the Pride, I strongly suggest skipping it. We were very disappointed, food was mediocre at best, service was slow. We regret wasting our money on it.

Exactly how we felt. Only Carnival ship Steakhouse we will not return to.

  8. Glad to see I'm not the only one. It's always such a relief to walk into the atrium and know we made it! I'm traveling with 4 of my daughters (16-24) and I just don't want anything to go wrong.

Hello, I'm glad to see your post. I remember your review from the past and often wondered how you and your family are. I hope you and your daughters have a wonderful cruise.
