This has been an ongoing issue with passengers on Princess.  There is absolutely no need to have amplification this high.  I feel so bad for the CS desk....passengers have to scream across the counter to get themselves heard.

    It's total BS, right?

I had to repeat myself 3 times ordering a burger and fries because the poor guy at the grill couldn't hear a word I said.

Thanks to a movie playing at full blast.

    Beyond frustrating. 😡

The cabins adjacent to the doors are not lanai cabins, so the loungers in front of those cabins are open to all.
There are a few stretches of cabins that aren't lanai, so those loungers are open, also.
Besides those areas, there are (or at least were) some offices near the atrium; the loungers outside those are also open seating.

    P.S.

The Easter Bunny brought me Reeses Peanut Butter Eggs.  😇🙃

    (Hope all is well)

They have been reassigning ships lately.  edge is going to Australia, Equinox will be going to South America. Eclipse is doing the Northeast.   I have seen no indication that any ship is sold.

    Ah ha.

So it is the ole shell game shuffle.

Thanks for clearing that up.  😎

  4. Don't mean to start a panic, but wondering about the whereabouts of Summit next year.

I've been thinking on and off about doing Bermuda in 2024, and noticed Eclipse is taking that itinerary.

This is the first time I've noticed Celebrity re-assigning their ships, so color me lost and confused.

    Anyone hear anything ..

    Sold, re-deployed, etc. ? 🤯

I've only once had a bad Uber driver, and that was going to the airport from home. She pulled up across the street from my house (it was 6 AM IIRC), and just popped the trunk. It was raining, and I live on a hill. I had to manage my rolling suitcase (which wanted to roll down the hill) and get it into the trunk. Something was wrong with her GPS (or her driving skills). She kept missing turns and then following ridiculous directions to get back on track, while I was yelling directions from the back seat--"Just turn HERE" etc. Needless to say, she got no tip and zero stars.

I did not order it. The big brochure came out of the blue and I am so glad it did.  Having said that I remember, over the years, requesting one and it took me to a page to view it online..........NOT the same thing at all!

    Pretty cool!

I have to admit, it was a pleasant surprise when I saw that big white envelope sticking out of my mailbox.

Just like that moment of glee you just experienced. I'm happy for you. 🤗

( Now, I wonder if I jinxed myself that a brochure won't materialize this year. LOL ... You know, Cunard does move in mysterious ways.  😵)

How exciting!  I got a Cunard Brochure for August 2023 - May 2025 and I love it!  I had been using my old brochure from 2017-2018 to refer to for deck plans, etc.  I love the paper brochures so much as I love the feel of paper and the nostalgia of spending a nice relaxing day or two or three, daydreaming!

    Cunard 2023 Brochure.jpg

Did you order, or was it sent by Cunard as one of their courtesy offerings?

(I ask because last year I got their big brochure without requesting it. It came out of the blue.  🤯)

So Caribbean Princess was not included in the recent Caribbean, West Coast or Panama Canal announcements, nor was she included in the previous Aus/NZ announcement ..... sooo where is she going????  South America, SE Asia, or maybe stay in NYC/BOS year round and do long Caribbean sailings??????  She seems ill suited to any of those options given other ships in the fleet.  Could this mean a possible transfer to P&O Australia to sail alongside sisters Star and Golden????? "Curiouser and curiouser said Alice!"

    Alang?  😵

Effective all sailings Feb 23rd and beyond unless you have Plus or Premiere there is a shipping charge for guests booked under "standard"  Was announced when they rolled out new Plus/Premiere Packages with the higher costs and extra added items

    Oh, ok.

I have to admit that I didn't look at the fine print while snooping around for future sailings.

    Thanks for the info.

I expect you can book now, as I saw it on the HAL website over the weekend. There's an interesting itinerary, and especially for those of us who live in New England, and those who don't mind going to the Caribbean, it's a decent cruise.

    Hmmm

Think I'll take a look at that.

    Thanks Ruth!

Mazatlan's main beach in the Golden Zone.  Lots of trash on the beach and smelled of decaying fish/seafood despite being on far from the fishermen.  Beaches in Cabo and PV were so much cleaner and welcoming.  Mazatlan lacks the upkeep of a tourist destination.  I've always had this feeling about Mazatlan, even pre-COVID.  Having said that that nothing beats the beaches on the Caribbean side of Mexico (Cancun, Cozumel, etc.).

That explains the lack of crowds.

Every picture I see of that beach shows that it's not really a popular spot for a dip.

I was afraid you were gonna say Stone Island. Whew, what a relief. 😵

We just returned to the ship after spending a great day in Puerto Vallarta.  No problems whatsoever and the town was full of tourists.

    Tomorrow, Cabo San Lucas.

    A perfect day!

    Wish I was there.

It's 52 degrees here in Jersey, and I'm tired of the cold. LOL
