The pistachio dome looks like a pacifier ... 🤪
Are you still on board?
If so, track down the restaurant manager and voice your concerns.

You really wanna get rid of him, do ya?
LOL. 😱😵😎😀

I read they'll be available around Dec. 10.
Hope that includes the inaugural Caribbean season of Sun Princess.
Planning on celebrating Thanksgiving and a birthday on the same trip. 🎉🎂🍹

This has been a cruise critic hack since I've been reading. There is no card slot in the pinnacle ships.
Really?
They did away with those?

Buildings have floors. Ships have decks.
(Someone had to say this. 😎😉)
BTW .. Welcome to CC. ☺

Socks with sandals……why🤪?
I know, right?
It's the same thing when I see someone driving a convertible with the top down and the windows rolled up. 😱😡
Why even bother ...

Wait, what?? ...
A bright sunny day in Alaska? .. In OCTOBER??? 😵
Sorry. After reading and hearing about Alaska in the late season, it was refreshing to see a beautiful day up there.
You know, all we ever hear is rain, fog, snow, etc.
Good to see you're enjoying the trip. 😎

After checking out the deck plan, I noticed they're using the basic number scheme ... Deck 1, Deck 2, etc
I wonder if this is temporary, or perhaps HQ decided to abandon the traditional deck names.
(Let's start taking bets later this year ... 🙈🙉🙊)

I love the new ship smell but to expect things not to be perfect…
That's why I'll wait til the 1st inaugural from FLL. She will still be new with the "new ship smell", but with all the kinks ironed out. 😉😀

Yep, keep the horn. Not sure why anyone would be annoyed by a little fun!!!
Chill.
I never said that it annoyed me.
I'm just a stickler for tradition, that's all. 😇😶

Let's hope for this ship, that they nix the Love Boat horn.
(I like the show, but overkill is overkill no matter what ... 😵)

Thanks, bluemarble for posting this.
I think I found the perfect way to celebrate my brothers birthday, and Thanksgiving all in the same trip! 👑

Hi Carl
Love your trip report so far.
It almost feels like I'm right there.
Stay safe on board and ashore.

Hello there Hattie
Sorry to join in so late.
Love your 'live from' so far, and following along.
Awful to hear about Mr HH. Hope he gets better in the coming days.
Continue enjoying the trip!

We stayed on our balcony for the sail away exchanging waves with passengers on the Mein Schiff in port with us. We got away first time today !
We went for a pre-dinner drink in the Gin & Fizz bar, one day we'll order something other than a Sloe Ahead and The Mary Rose but not today.
Sunset was 8.16, I just caught it on the way to dinner
One of the best views ever.
Deck chair on a real promenade deck ... absolute perfection.

I have two questions about the Lanai cabins, I see from your photo that there are no cushions on the chairs. What do you do if you want to sit and they have been put away by the crew? Do they ever take the chairs away or can you sit out there at night too? And do they have fridges in the cabin? Thanks.
From what I've seen on Veendam a few moons ago, the cushions get stowed overnight. The deck chairs remain in their spot.

@AtlantaCruiser72Hey dude.
This itinerary caught my eye, and we might be interested in 2024.
I have some questions, so can you contact me? My email is below.
Thanks
(I know I could ask here, but don't care to share my inquiries in public😵)

When was the last time that any of us were provided a small coffee spoon on a HAL ship? Something that has disappeared.
Last time I used one was on Veendam during her Bermuda series in 2010.
I'm pretty sure what was left in the inventory wound up in a few pockets, then onto eBay ... 😵
But that's just my theory.

On August 8-9, 2022 they had just released dates for Caribbean cruises into March 2024. Typically, those ships relocate March/April to the Mediterranean & Baltics for the summer......... so there should be new release dates Spring/Summer/Fall 2024 soon? Maybe September?
Also, "Destination Collection 2023-2024" should be coming out that shows all the ships and their schedules for that time period.
Off topic reply here.
That's a nice shot in your avatar.
What ship is that?
(Tried blowing up my screen, but the name is a big fuzzy blur. LOL)

Puerto Rico has not be a common HAL stop in the past, and with fewer ships now...
Really?
San Juan has been offered on HALs Eastern Caribbean sailings for quite some time now.
I've done a few myself. 😉
Which pier is generally used by Princess in San Juan?
in Princess Cruises
Posted
More than likely, it will be Old Town.
On all my sailings into San Juan, the ship always docked there. This applies to almost every cruise line ... HAL, Princess, Cunard, etc
Pan American is used by Celebrity for their RT Caribbean cruises from SJ.
Enjoy San Juan. It's a charming city!
