We did this on Getaway in March and really enjoyed it, delicious food and great entertainment
-
When we were on Getaway in February there were regular announcements to say not to go to cabins until told, and we then got that call at 1pm.
-
When we were on Escape and Getaway we had both American and Continental plug points in our cabin - is this the same on Star? (Suite cabin)
-
Thank you for all this info, much appreciated, we go on this trip on 28th May. Do most of the trips have a similar daily schedule onboard, timings of trivia, shows etc?
-
We go on in 2 weeks and would love any info too!
-
We go on Star in 2 weeks, what time did they start embarkation - not that we are desperate to get onboard!!!!
-
Going on Star in 2 weeks to a suite and have counted and reckon there are 28 suites onboard. How many butlers will there be for 28 suites?
-
On Escape we were in all 3 and much preferred Taste & Savor. Didn't try Manhatten on Getaway but enjoyed both of the other 2, although we were able to get a table much quicker in both of them on Escape compared to Getaway.
-
How many butlers are on each ship? Is it just one?
-
We have a drinks package included in our booking in a penthouse suite on Star, does the butler bring drinks to your cabin if you let him know the kinds of drinks you like? And are bottles of water included or do we still buy them?
-
Would you then normally tip him each time he brings something or just at the end of the cruise? Happy to do whatever is considered the correct thing -within reason!
-
I don't want to start yet another tips argument but would just like to know what the expected gratuities are when in a suite, per person per day - we will be an aft penthouse with large balcony (not sure if different suites have different recommendations). And I presume there is extra for butler as well?
-
Can you use your onboard credit for the casino?
-
We are going on Millenium in February and wanted to book one of the excursions, to the Pingxi Lantern Festival, but it says online reservations aren't available but to check onboard. Could this be because they have sold out all the places - or another reason?
TIA

We are on a Far east cruise next February with Celebrity with 2 days at Bangkok and read that some people leave the ship and stay overnight in Bangkok. Is this advisable - is it because the journey from port to city is too long? Any advice would be welcome. TIA

Sounds good, we are on the Star on 28th may. What time were you able to board on the first day and were you able to get straight to your cabin?
What were the shows like?
Were you only in Moderno once or were you eating there for breakfast and lunch as a suite passenger?
Thanks for taking the time to help.

Can someone tell me what are supplied in suite cabins please, going in a few weeks and trying to keep the weight down in the luggage. TIA

We have just come off the Star ( Venice to Venice) and we have had a wonderful time . The crew were great, food was great and our room was kept lovely and clean all the time. I cannot fault it .
What time did embarkation start in Venice? Excited to be on the ship very soon.

We have not stayed in either cabins on the Star but we did have the aft penthouse on 9 (9732) and it was very quiet. Your cabin (if available) would be in the center of the suites. We never heard any noise day or night.
Linda, we are in this cabin on Star from 28th May and really looking forward to it, glad to hear it is quiet.

5 o'clock somewhere bar was lovely

When we sail in May our tips are already included for our room steward but we have now upgraded to a suite so believe we have to tip butler and concierge (providing we use them at all and happy with the service they provide). Do we tip in cash and should it be dollars or euros - the cruise is in Europe.
-
I should have added, we are in a suite so get priority boarding but wonder when it is likely to start.
-
I have a couple of questions, wonder if anyone can help. Firstly, what are the shows on the Star just now and are they normally on twice in the evening?
And, what time do they start boarding in Venice, wondering what time we should plan or arriving at the cruise terminal, happy to be on the ship as early as we can.
Recently in Miami, we arrived at 10.25 and boarded Getaway at 11.25 which was great.

We have just booked Millenium for next February and will want internet onboard. I have noticed on our booking confirmation it says "discounted daily rate for entire voyage" is £235, does this mean that £235 is final price or is there also a daily rate? And is it a set amount of minutes or unlimited?

We are going on this Sunday and I hope to do a review after we are off again. Will try and report this back.
