  1. I want to bring my new back massager to use on our cruise but the more I think about it, the more I am worried that it will not be allowed. it is a shiatsu massager with heat. I don't use the heat function but the massage helps my neck and lower back pain. will it be taken to the "naughty room"?

  2. I have seen some conflicting reports of non-insulated cups with straws being provided with the drink package. we sail on Liberty of the Seas in a few weeks and will pack our own cups if they are still using the cheap looking neon cups with straw. can anybody verify which cups are they giving now?

  3. we will be in Roatan in October this year and my sister is wanting to go to maya key to see the animals with some beach time. I have my own snorkel equipment and will bring it along if there is much to see there but I am getting mixed messages about the snorkeling. I have been to west bay and loved it. she does not want to go there so this is the excursion she chose. just want to know if it is worth bringing my snorkel stuff along. TIA

  4. we were on Liberty the week before you. good review. I agree that the shows really need to be changed. we saw Air and was impressed as always but we skipped everything else because "been there. done that". I felt safe with the protocols in place and most people seemed to follow them. no masks on decks or around pool. appreciated the adult pool was a mask free zone. the MDR food was good and excellent on some nights. service in MDR was fantastic for us. we are not country music fans either but as long as it is not played at ear splitting levels (like we have experienced on Carnival), I am ok with any type of music. I personally would like some jazz late in the evening. overall a good cruise for us since we like to chill for the most part and enjoy some quiet time.

  5. we got off Liberty on 11/21. This cruise put us well into the platinum category due to double points. I booked another cruise for October and was looking forward to the discount on our balcony room. I booked the cruise on 11/26 to take advantage of the black friday sale but I did not have my points applied to my account at the time of booking. I was told that I could call back later and apply the balcony discount. I called yesterday. BIG mistake!!! cyber Monday was throwing them into overdrive! on hold for at least 1 1/2 hours and the guy at the other end was very confused and did not know how to apply a discount. after many tries and more time on hold, he told me that I cannot get the discount! he said that I cannot stack the discount on the black friday deal. I didn't think this was correct and will try to call back. I wanted to know if it is worth the time on hold to talk to another cruise planner. Has anyone else had this problem?

  6. we have not been to Roatan before and Paradise beach and Infinity bay both sound and look like beautiful resorts that would offer a great day at the beach. which resort did you prefer and why? which third party vendor have you used and are both of these reliable and safe? any suggestions would be helpful. I want to get the most out of our day while at this new port. I want to snorkel and hubs wants to sit in the shade with a nice drink (after a quick dip in the ocean of course!) thanks in advance.

  7. sorry if this has been answered but I have been looking at the resorts in Roatan for day passes. this is our first trip to Roatan. I usually do not book ship sponsored tours due to the inflated costs. I assume I can get a taxi to and from the cruise port (just the DH and me) and I am willing to purchase a day pass to have a nice place to spend the day. I want to snorkel and hubs just wants to sip a drink in the shade. We are sailing November 2021 on RC LOS. I have looked at Paradise and Infinity but I don't see day passes anywhere. does anyone know if they are offering them anymore or are they only for guests of the resort?

  8. Liberty sailing for November 14 is officially changed.

As part of the guidance received from the CDC, we’ve implemented new boarding protocols and as a result, we’ll need extra time for check-in. We’ll depart from Galveston, Texas at 5:00 PM, instead of 4:00 PM. Separately, the government of Grand Cayman is not accepting cruise ships so, we’ve replaced George Town with Costa Maya, Mexico. Regrettably, this impacts our visit to Falmouth, Jamaica because of its distance from Mexico. Instead, we’ll visit Roatan, Honduras. We know how much time and effort go into planning your vacation, and we’re sorry for any inconvenience caused by this. We’re excited to take you to new ports and know you’ll have an excellent time! Below, please find our revised Liberty of the Seas itinerary.

Day Port of Call Arrive Depart
    Sun Galveston, Texas   5:00 PM
    Mon Cruising
Tue Cozumel, Mexico 9:00 AM 6:00 PM
Wed Costa Maya, Mexico 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Thu Roatan, Honduras 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
    Fri Cruising
