Plantation house, not plantation hose, oh well.
thanks for the update. I plan to print this out as well. DD first trip to New Orleans

I was wondering that myself. If I have the package, will they fill a cup I brought onboard? I have a 20 oz insulated tumbler that I carry everywhere. would they fill that up for me?

I am so anxious and excited to book our anniversary cruise for 2020. I know I have to wait until they are posted but any idea when they might be available?

in 2009 we were in D736 on the Ruby Princess - here are a few pictures of the balcony area I took at the time - IMO it is the best cabin we have stayed in on any of our cruises.
The "dreaded beam" in no way intruded on our space.
We heard no noise from any vents.
We incurred no smell from such vents.
In short the balcony in this room was supurb

Thank you so much for posting these pictures!!! I have been on the fence between which room (penthouse aft or vista aft) we should book. these have answered my all questions about the balcony. we spend a great deal of our time on our balcony!

You can do either way. I've always paid online ahead of time and then just give them my receipt at the garage. People outside hold signs that I think are up to $14/day right now. I don't know if they add taxes and fees on top of that or not. If I go online right now and pay for a 7 day cruise it's $13/day plus $5 service fee, plus $9.36 tax which brings the total to $92.36. If you are willing to park on the roof you can get that for $72.20...you cannot get that price at the garage...only online.
As for how busy they are I try to cruise just after summer and just before spring break when they aren't as busy and there are less families on the ships. I'd say the garage is about 1/2 full those times. The time I cruised in July I'd say it was 3/4 full. I don't think you'll have trouble driving up and getting a spot any time of year.
thanks for the reply. we are cruising in mid May. (before memorial day) we also like to cruise after school starts in the fall and before it ends in May. we avoid spring break at all costs! I will probably book online but I didn't know if I needed to do this VERY early or if I forgot altogether, I would not get a space.:p

good options. checking out Fulton, terminal parking and Machu Picchu. all seem good options since we don't need a hotel room. we plan to drive to the port and park
-
should I make a reservation for covered parking or can we just go to the garage and pay? is the price any different? will I risk not getting a space if I don't make a reservation?

love that exciting feeling! Have a wonderful cruise!

thanks for the answers...I mis-typed. we are on the Dream, not the Breeze. we spent so long deciding which ship/departure port that I forgot which one we picked!! LOL

Hi my name is Denise and I am a cruise addict. went on our first Christmas decorated cruise after Thanksgiving and it was so pretty!!! I am going on my next cruise in May of this year and would love to go every year! I am addicted to the motion of the boat, the breezes, the beautiful blue ocean and the sail away blast from the horn!!! gets me so excited every time!

I am not new to cruising or even to carnival, we haven't been on Carnival in about 10 years. and the rules are different for different cruise lines. first- does the shower have a curtain or door. second- can I bring a power strip or extension cord or both. third- can I bring a very small fan to plug in at my bedside. (hot flashes!:o fourth- is the "adult pool area" kept ADULTS only or when kids go to the pool are they allowed to stay? thanks in advance for the answers! also if anybody has any great tips or secret places for the Breeze, load me up!! Cruising in May:D

I just got back from grand Cayman. we walked a couple of blocks to paradise restaurant. right on the water. no real beach but stairs into the water. roped off snorkel area so very safe. all equipment (including flotation vest) were rented from the snorkel shop (attached to restaurant) for a very reasonable price for the entire day. DH did not want to snorkel so he sat in the open air restaurant enjoying a drink and the view. I snorkeled and then sat with him for lunch and drinks. great reasonably priced excursion on your own.

beautiful pictures!! you are really talented

thank you for this post! I have read good things about Red Stripe but could not find it in the cruise planner. I thought we were out of luck. we cruise just after Thanksgiving and I am glad to know I have that plan in place.

we are booked on LOS late November and have very much enjoyed your review of this itinerary. we are booked on the same one and have been worried about Jamaica. loved the pictures at the port as well as the trip to a beach with prices. this will give us some options while making our plans. thanks muchly!

we had a DVD player in our balcony room on our HAL cruises. we enjoyed putting in a TV series that we enjoy while we nap or get ready for the evening. we brought: Friends, Will & Grace and Northern Exposure. (blast from the past!) if we can't get better TV, allowing us to play what we enjoy from home would be nice.

We've been there and unfortunately Falmouth isn't a very nice port. Our cruise in February has been rerouted there due to the hurricanes. I wish it was any other Jamaican port.
thank you for the honest reply. :( DH wants to stay on the ship and I am starting to agree with him. I would like to get some rum & rum cream while in port. Is there a safe place close to the port that I can obtain these? I wouldn't mind getting off the ship for a short walk and then back onboard to relax on the balcony.

I have seen many good reviews with pictures of red stripe beach. looks like a good choice for us but I am not sure how to get there. Is this a Royal Caribbean excursion? I don't see it listed in the cruise planner. can I get there on my own? we will be docked at folmouth
