We're on the Summit I Alaska , June 2024. We'd like to see the main dining room menus for our 7 day cruise.

Check the app. You don't see the menus posted so much anymore.

Here's some from our last cruise. It wasn't the Summit but they have the same menus

Never seen that page before, however when you click on the Learn More About Dining it shows you Red Ginger and Tuscan Steak.

I saw that. It's possible that I looked closer at the other cruise, thinking since they were sister ships, the dining would be the same.

I'm really glad to see it on the longer cruise. It's our favorite.

And you are absolutely sure the information you posted above is for the TA and not the Bermuda cruise?? Not really sure where you received the information you posted with regard to the culinary masterpieces.

    Look under Culinary Masterpieces

Are you sure you are going to be on Serena?  I recall you mentioning in another thread you were going to Bermuda on Nautica.  Those would be the specialty dining restaurants on Nautica.

Bermuda this Sept. on Nautica and TA on Sirena next April.

I think you need to looks again.. there is Red Ginger and Tuscan Steak (combo of Toscana and Polo Grill)

Thank you!. The description for our cruise says:

    Culinary Masterpieces

Memorable dining begins with open-seating, as it allows you to dine when you are ready and with whomever you choose. Regardless of which of our restaurants you select, there are no dining surcharges. Enjoy Toscana’s authentic Italian dishes, Polo Grill’s steakhouse fare, Continental cuisine in the Grand Dining Room, and made-to-order American favorites in the Terrace Café. You may also indulge in delicate pastries and freshly made sandwiches along with illy® specialty coffees at Baristas.

It must need to be updated.

So we just boarded the Sirena today and found the ship in the same good shape. And I’d like to comment about the food. We quickly managed to get reservation in the specialty restaurant on the first night, but after we saw the dinner menu cancelled the Red Ginger as we really liked what was offered in the GDR. Well, I just want to say our dinner was excellent. I don’t think that we’ve equally enjoyed every meal onboard in the past, but tonight we didn’t find the food to be a bit of less quality than it used to be. It was as good if not better than we’ve ever had before.

While I understand that the food is subjective and not everyone has the same taste it still makes me wonder were all that people who complained eat elsewhere. And we’re looking forward to enjoying this cruise on the Sirena not less than we have always done.

I'm a little confused. We're booked onboard the Sirena for a TA next year so I've been researching the ship. According to the Oceania website, the only specialty restaurants on Sirena are Toscana and Polo Grill. We love Red Ginger but it doesn't appear to be on the Sirena. What am I missing?

That's what I was assuming as well.  Cartegena and the ABC islands work but it seemed to me that Aruba is a long way to go for a cruise leaving from NY to Miami.  It's like when years ago NCL was cruising the Hawaiian Islands and needed to go to Fanning Island to qualify for the PVSA closed loop sailings.

In Oct. 2022, we sailed on the Summit from Boston to Miami.

Mercury predated the M class ships.

If I remember correctly Mercury was Century Class. I remember the Mercury, it had an escalator. The 4 ships were the Century, Mercury, Horizon, and Zenith.

Galaxy was also C class. Century had an Escalator.

I think Horizon and Zenith were The “class” prior to C.

I don't recall an escalator on the Century

It is funny to think back to those class cruise ships. I had a suite on the Zenith, but there was no balcony, only windows. I still loved those older smaller ships.

It didn't take long for the thread drift to start.

What was the excess baggage charge for the 50 pound cookbook?  On the Eclipse we were never offered it.

    Thanks for the advice.

We already have the cookbook and we already gave one to my sister, so we gave the latest one to someone on our FB group

    I’m joking with you but….

    $5,000 cruise?  No problem!

    $158 dinner?  Too expensive.

$158 isn't any more than most excursions. We just consider it an excursion.

We were in a suite and invited to the Chef’s Table on the Millennium in March. It was a great experience. The Galley tour alone is better than the typical Galley Tour.  As for the wine, the Sommelier will try to upsell you the $60 per person (plus gratuity). Not worth it.  The wine is not free flowing.  You are better off with using your Premium wine package and upgrade if you choose.

Dinner was fabulous, along with photograph and cookbook.  A one time experience.

We we at the same dinner? March 4th?
