I have only recently noticed this. What do we think it is? It is off the Lobby on Deck 1. Could it be literally a room for the very popular art classes? Apologies in advance if it has been explained already and I’ve missed it.
Harsh. Pasteurisation of milk has saved many lives, prevention of adulteration of flour has vastly improved the quality. Neither of these would have happened, at least over here, without legislation. I could give many more examples.
As you know, I adore the duck confit cottage pie. Interestingly, my husband, who has considerably less appetite than he did until a few years ago, can always finish fish, even though he struggles with many other things. We have given up,ordering the flamed duckling for two in QG because neither of us comes near to finishing it, much as we love it. As the lady said, ‘Old age ain’t for cissies’.
Bizarre. The only instances of health problems from wine that I can think of, other of course than those related to alcohol consumption, are those relating to unauthorised additives, such as the antifreeze scandal.
We were very lucky in that our guide was an actual archaeologist who had actually dug on some of the sites. I usually loathe guided tours - too much blathering - but that was excellent.
I don’t mind missing tea, but try not to miss lunch.
At Kirkwall, a half day tour of the archaeological sites gave us time to mooch about the city(?) beforehand. That archaeology tour was by a massive amount the best Cunard tour I’ve ever been on.
But, when it comes down to it, you may not want to do as much as you think, especially if it means, say, missing tea. 😀
How awful not to trust anyone.
The last two Med. cruises I have gone on from Soton, one before, one after, Covid, both went up considerably in price for my grade of cabin, and I think most others. I don’t think those that start in the Med. rise in the same way. So, it might depend where you are intending to embark.
