  1. We are sailing on the Encore on Feb 4. I am concerned about having enough time to make our 11:30 am flight out of Miami. What is the earliest walk off debark time? I do realize that sometimes the ship's arrival can be later than expected. I hate to wait until the late afternoon flight home to Boston, but wonder if that's something to consider. Thank you in advance
  2. I appreciate everyone's input. If I have to pay a corkage fee for two bottles, that's perfectly fine. I realize that the casino will not be open during port days, so this will work. I just can't justify paying all that money for a package when neither of us drinks very much! Enjoy the holiday season!
  3. Hi My husband and I will be on the Encore on Feb 4. I realize that since I booked with a certificate that had been offered from my land casino, we can have drinks while playing. My husband only drinks one or two drinks a day, so a package would not be worth it. Can I bring a glass of wine into the MDR if I get it at the casino? I will also bring a bottle or two onboard and pay the corkage fee. Thanks

  5. My husband and I will be cruising from Port Everglades on Jan 28. When we disembark, we need to transportation to the Port of Miami for a cruise that departs on Feb 4. Are there shuttles to pick us up from Port Everglades to bring us to the Miami port? I tried reaching out to SAS, but they are not responding. If Uber is something better to consider, we will use them. Thanks so much!
  6. Thank you so much for all of the recommendations. I am wary of Uber because when we were at the port not long ago, I could not connect with a driver. I have downloaded Lyft and that's probably the way we will go. Let's hope!
  7. My husband and I are cruising on the Celebration on Feb 19th. On the 26th, we will need transportation from the port to a hotel in Fort Lauderdale. If we decide to Uber or Lyft, what terminal do we request when scheduling it? I would like to pre-book if possible because it's been difficult to schedule a ride on the morning of disembarkation. If anyone has a reliable shuttle that they have used, please let us know. Thanks so much in advance!
  8. Hi John I am seeing the packages that you have mentioned. I have always been able to purchase the 3 bottles pre cruise. Maybe I can do this onboard. If not, I am happy with the Elite Happy Hour from 5-7pm. Thanks, also, to Nachosdelux. I will keep checking my mail
  9. My husband and I are on a back to back cruise on the Silhouette sailing on December 29th. I would like to purchase a wine package before these cruises, but I am only seeing drink packages. I remember purchasing this on prior cruises. Are they still being offered pre cruise? Thanks so much
  10. Just heard that NCL has suspended all testing beginning tomorrow. I wonder if Celebrity will follow. We will be testing on the 11th for a 10 day cruise on the Edge on the 14th. One day more and we still must test!! A 9 day cruise does not require a test!! Fingers crossed that Celebrity follows NCL.

    My husband and I will be traveling on the Edge on October 14th for a Mediterranean cruise. We had the pleasure of meeting Jacqueline in the Blu dining room when we sailed on the Edge this past December. I realize that the crew may transfer from ship to ship, but we really loved her and wonder if she is presently on the Edge. We are so appreciative of every crew member, but she truly made such a wonderful impression on us.
  12. Hoping to get an offer, too! I wonder if the offers get sent out in stages depending upon how many accept them. We are taking a ten day Mediterranean in October, but I would love to take another in mid November!!
  13. I have the Celebrity Visa card and I am planning to book quite a few excursions for my upcoming 10 day Edge cruise in October. I do have points for on board credit and the additional purchase will increase that. Can I apply these points to this upcoming cruise before sailing? This is a card that I have recently received.   14. Back to back no test required. That makes it a 14 day cruise. I have a 10 day in October and will need to test 3 days before!! Crazy!!
  15. Although the former kindergarten teacher in me I would like to think that consideration for our fellow passengers would factor into the honesty part, but I am doubtful.   18. I am absolutely confused!! My husband and I are booked on the Edge leaving from Rome on October 14th. It appears as if we need to test 2 days before at this point in time. I still have not booked flights from Boston to Rome in hopes that the testing will change to 3 days prior. We are wary of having to test in Rome if we arrive 3 days before embarkation. I had read that the test does not need to be monitored. Am I mistaken?
  19. I am so very glad to report that thanks to the advice of SWFL Cruisers, I received a phone call from the supervisor in charge of loyalty and my husband and I are now Elite!! I have taken a screenshot of this new tier and there should not be an additional issues. The person to whom I had spoken was extremely helpful and made certain that the problem was corrected immediately. Thanks again! Rosanne
  20. SWFL Cruisers, I just sent a detailed email to Lisa. Hopefully, I will get a timely response. Never have I ever felt the need to communicate with a CEO. However, I am not spending any additional time waiting for a resolution. Thanks to all of my fellow cruisers for responding to my frustration! Rosanne
  21. In early May, I had written to say that over 60 points had been deducted from my husband's status. After calling and speaking with a Captain's Club representative, I was told that the points were deducted as a result of a computer glitch. I was assured that a supervisor would be emailed and the points would be reinstated within a week because we are scheduled to cruise on June 12. The following week, I called again and spoke with another representative who sent another email. This past weekend, I called once again and was told that another email had been sent to the supervisor, Alejandro. I was promised that not only would the missing points be added, but he would be calling me on Monday morning. Today, I see the 3 points for the webinar, but nothing more. I am so frustrated right now! We really hoped that we would be Elite by the next cruise, and at this point, I doubt it. Does anyone have another contact name or number that I can reach out to?
  22. Missing points still have not been added and this is going on 2 weeks. I wouldn't care as much, but it is over 50 points missing from my account and it it is the difference between Select and Elite for my upcoming cruise on June 12.
  23. Hi, Since the delays and flight cancellations seem to be happening more and more, we are thinking about taking a bus from Boston. Where is the closest stop to Cape Liberty? We embark on the Summit on June 12th and, due to a prior engagement, we can't leave the day before to fly in to Newark. Any suggestions as to how we should travel on that morning? It's only about 4 hours away, so we would take the earliest mode of transportation that we can find Thanks!!!
