  1. Carnial has a low price guarantee now.

Like most Carnival guests, you're planning some fun ashore during your upcoming cruise...and like everyone, you want that shore excursion at the best price. Booking yours through Carnival is not only easier and more reliable, but will make your wallet happy too.

    Here's how it works:

    • Purchase one of our amazing Carnival Shore Excursions! If you find that shore excursion elsewhere for a lower price, submit your claim online.
    • Within 48 hours, you will be notified if your claim meets the Best Price Guarantee’s criteria.
    • If your claim is accepted, you will receive 110% of the difference in price to enjoy in the form of an onboard credit.
    • The following restriction applies: Carnival’s Best Price Guarantee only applies to shore excursions that are advertised with pricing and publicly available.
    • Prices available only by using a coupon or other promotion not offered to the general public are ineligible.

I don't use FTTF but it's to my advantage when others do.  I see people carrying on ice chest, 12 packs, etc.. their total volume of carry on is greater than my check in.  The quicker they get rid of it the less congestions  there is in the buffet area, elevators and hall ways.  Add kids with backpacks and those small roll-ons.  I think it is worth it for those people.  I prefer to check as much as I can and carry as little as possible.

Odd.....but ok. I haven't witnessed what you have described but if you did and it makes you happy then party on and have a great cruise.

With all of that said, the Chef's Table was awesome. Time in the kitchen with several chef's and amazing samples. Then a private dining room with an incredible 7 course dinner. Truly one of the best "Chef's Menu" type of meals I've ever had.

I agree my wife and I attended with some friends of ours. One was an ex Navy self described "redneck" and he said it was absolutely one of the best dinners and most enjoyable times he has had. I thought he would like it but was a little surprised by how much.

I guess the user who provided these codes will have to take the saint out of him name :classic_biggrin:. But yes we are completely at fault here for thinking of a free lunch!

Did you guys know the codes were "suspect" or were you led to believe that they were legit. Either way hope you guys get it worked out.

I can certainly see what you mean. As it states "to expedite check-in......." Carnival would like everyone together as it is easier but as other posters have stated you can show up at different times and they will check you in.

So I am trying to plan my vacation for next year. I really want to see orcas in the wild. I know that San jaun islands has them there. So that is one choice. I'm also thinking about an Alaskan cruise. I love to cruise. I figured I'd see a lot of beautiful wildlife and scenery. However Its a dream to see orcas. What ports are good for orca sightseeing?

I like you wanted to see Orcas and we took a whale watching tour out of Juneau and it was amazing a pod kept swimming around the boat and the Captain said they were just playing and then a second pod joined them and we got pictures of about 17 Orcas in a line swimming. The Captain and crew got really excited as they hadn't seen that many at once. We are going again in 2 weeks. Hope you plan your trip and have a great time whatever you decide.

Whatever is above the buffet. The blue cards don’t make it up that high before they stop to eat so it’s usually nice and quiet the first couple days.

Looks like on sunrise that’s Cucina Del Capitano on deck 10 aft. So it’ll be a sit down restaurant where you order bread, salad, then a bowl of pasta with your choice of pasta, meat, veggies...or lasagna.

Someone seems full of themselves. Another my card color makes me better than you.

It looked in 2019 like Carnival had been working hard to improve on their Alaska offerings.  However, they have pretty much regressed back to their usual worst in industry class itineraries for 2020.  Here are some of the the disappointments...

    - No more Glacier Bay on any itinerary. This is a major cutback.

    - Old ships. NCL uses the Bliss and Joy for example.

    - Mostly Tuesday to Tuesday on 7 day itineraries...another cost saving measure.

    - No more Journeys cruises in Alaska, unlike previous years.

Unfortunate considering the cost and commitment of booking an Alaska

I’ve made reservations for the steakhouse for the first night of our girls trip cruise. Does anyone know what choices for the “free” bottle of wine is the first night? One on my friends is allergic to American wines and can only drink foreign wines.

Wow that is odd. Not saying it isn't true.......but Wow.
