  1. A soda costs $3.50 per plus 18% gratuity. The soda package is currently going for $8.99 per day, so the break even is 3 sodas per day. The package only includes sodas or anything from the Coke Freestyle machines where they also have Powerade, juices, etc. You can see the list here: https://cruisespotlight.com/ovation-of-the-seas-cruise-blog-day-2-sea-day/#cokefreestyle
  2. 100% agree with this. The whole thing seems so rushed (and they even admit it is in their press releases). The still haven't said which Carnival enhancements it's getting, but it feel so half-assed. For the Australian sailings, it might not be that bad, since there's no Carnival ships to compare it to, but once it gets to Alaska and sailing with the Miracle and other sailings, its going to be pretty obvious this is a half-assed option. They're really risking their brand reputation here (which is already being tarnished by running full capacity ships with half capacity crew and super discount prices).
  3. Here are most of the current Carnival Drink Menus https://cruisespotlight.com/carnival-cruise-line-drink-menus-and-pricing/
  4. I was on the same cruise and COVID was definitely going around. I didn't get it but my partner did; got symptoms and tested positive the day we got home. Based on the Facebook group for this sailing, quite a few people tested positive once we got home. Maybe less than 10% of guests were masks, went up to maybe 20% by the end as lots of people were coughing.
  5. For the Ovation last week, they took turns. So the Ovation docked and let people off from 10 am to 1 pm I believe, then it went out to see and a Celebrity ship came and let people off. Anyone who wanted to go back to Ovation after that had to tender. Sounds like much less of a hassle than if everyone had to tender both ways all day.
  6. They don't include flip flops. If you'd like some, you have to bring your own, but flip flops or water shoes really aren't required. The bottom of the lagoon is paved and pretty smooth. On top of that, you really won't be doing much walking outside of the water. The walk from the main door to the lagoon is about 30 to 50 feet. It can get cold on your feet, but it's not awful. There's also a side entrance to the lagoon inside the building. It's a small little path of water, so you can enter the hot lagoon water inside and then walk outside without being exposed to the cold air / pavement.
  7. Thanks so much. Thankfully they still have my drinks!
  8. Love following with you, makes me so jealous. Can you post the drink menus from Red Frog and Blue Iguana? I know they changed up the cocktail and don't know if my favorites are still there.
  9. They're not open for sale yet. A few weeks ago, when people were rushing to book specialty dining before the prices went up, John Heald said the only way to do it for the Celebration was to manually email them. Don't know why they're not open for booking yet. Maybe they're still deciding what to do, or maybe their waiting for the last zone to be announced.
