Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Checkout the FAQs and you may find many more answers… https://www.celebritycruises.com/search?q=FAQs
  2. For info on your specific ship, On CC, go to forums and then search on “Celebrity beyond” (substitute your ship if different) and you will find many threads of info. There are many prior ‘Live on ’ blogs that share pics and descriptions of the many amenities of the ship. Also go to YouTube and search on same and many Vlogs show walkthroughs of the ship. It will be like deja vue when you board
  3. I’ll share what I learned from prior Beyond postings - that suite guests have a different terminal entry point to the ship, so look for that as you arrive. Someone mentioned they had Shoreside Retreat Concierge email a pdf ‘placard’ to place in their taxi/Uber window for easier port entry. l’ll be on 3/12-19 myself. 1-800-RETREAT
  4. I had noticed that I had 0 points (Preview) over a month ago when I created my celebrity account and started to make shipboard reservations for my March Beyond cruise but attributed it to not having sailed Celeb for over 15 years ago (Avid Oceania cruiser). Further research on Celeb Club perks (and past member credit/point conversion) led me to contact Club services, as I also had past Royal Carib and Azamara cruise credits that should be accountable. They corrected it on their end and I am now Select, but they also gave me an additional $200obc after I asked for any perks I was eligible for. Maybe I was due at booking but maybe it was worthwhile to have called. Just saying😉
  5. I originally made my mdr reservations at each of the four to try them out, but not all had my chosen time of 6pm, but later ones so I selected them. I checked availability a week later and found that the 6pm’s were now available and switched them. You must first cancel your first one and then you can reserve the new time. You, of course, can stop in anytime at your discretion and most likely can be seated within minutes.
  6. Last May/June ‘22 I went on a Western Europe cruise (Rome-London) post 8 weeks; intended 12wks but Covid delayed TKR a month later. Key things to do are Daily (multiple times) stretches&exercises pre/post surgery (good tips on internet); Constant Ice therapy to keep swelling down ( I brought several ice packs, using one while other chilled in extra requested ice bucket, and even finagled getting a lounger for my veranda that was a godsend to keep it elevated during the day. Elevate at night if possible. I used public transportation in all ports (hoho/city buses, trams/trolleys) and limited my walking as needed for comfort. Enjoy those sea days and Take advantage of the comforts of the ship as often as you can. As long as you don’t push your boundaries you will enjoy your rehab in another world's playground. -mike
