  1. Thanks for the info

we are going on Caribbean Princess

As this is the only place open 24 hrs does that mean we cant get included tea /coffee after the buffet has closed?

Caribbean Princess has lots of room around the IC for seating. If you have the coffer card you can get coffee and tea for free otherwise there is a fee. There is a bar to the left of IC not sure how long it stays open and Vines is to the right of IC with lots of seating.

  2. Thanks

Can anyone point me in the direction of a bar and wine price list for Emerald as I need to see what drinks would be included in package. Is champagne included.

Glasses of champagne are included if $10 or under, Vines has it by the glass, also Korbel split is $8 a bottle at most bars.

If you search " Princess Beverage Package Evaluator" rev0 posted 5-7-2014.xls" by Kelly94942 there is an excellent spread sheet with prices. Some of the prices have gone up a little.

Tried to copy , but couldn't figure out how

  3. Cannot answer re: cabins but.......

The ultimate drink package includes bottled water, specialty coffee and any drinks or wine $10 or less. Princess cays is included.

No doubles, and anything over $10 you pay total price of the drink. 40% off bottled wine $100 or less.

I think only if you order a whole pizza delivered ?$3 fee, others may jump in here on that.

  4. sorry to hear you were so disappointed in your cruise.

We just sailed the CP for 9 days late Feb and early March. B2B.

Although the menus repeated except for one night, we enjoyed the food and tried different dishes on the second segment. We found the prime rib and filet excellent. Several other dishes were also new and delightful. French onion soup was wonderful as always. The chocolate desserts were awesome. The fish dishes are usually my favorite and they did not disappoint. The dinning staff was efficient, friendly and made our dining pleasurable.

Bar staff were wonderful and as we watched them make our drinks did not notice any watered down versions. We also attended Vines most nights to have wine and Tapas. The staff went out of their way to make sure everyone was taken care of. Vines is very busy from about 5ish till 7PM. Staff were friendly and outgoing. The location of vines near the IC lends itself to not only take care of Vine customers but everyone who comes up to ask for napkins, glasses of water and many other requests we witnessed on a daily basis.

Yes the ship is showing its age and does need a bit of TLC......but would sail her again in a heartbeat.

  5. Also the Winemakers Dinner which we'll enjoy again soon. :D

Astro Flyer............can you tell me more about the winemakers dinner?

Price? how many nights is it offered? Menu?

We have done the UBD and the chef's table twice each and looking for something new.

    Thanks

  6. Mackenzie- Excellent comments and viewpoints... one small correction, it has been posted numerous times that the forward facing cabin balconies on the Marina and Lido decks ARE NOT closed nor have any recent passengers in these cabins reported they have been unable to access. I would think these cabins would work better for caribbean cruises... I will find out next week as we have booked M101 and M102.

Also...The Regal has plenty of deck space to enjoy the outside. Seriously...with thousands of passengers on board...why does the pool (s) make a difference??Other than ambiance...whats the big issue?? If everyone wanted to take a dip or swim...we would have a whole new thread/category on the need of cruise ships to build a separate deck with just a huge pool on it LOL

Icpagejr.............. please report back on cabin with pictures if possible as we also have a future cruise booked in this cabin and friend has inside around the corner.

    Thanks in advance

  7. Has the Caribbean Princess been converted to tokens and do you swipe your cruise card to get the tokens? I think I may have read conflicting reports.

    Thanks,

Just off Caribbean Princess and they have the ship swipe card for coins that was displayed earlier.

  8. We just got off a B2B on Caribbean princess.

Sorry to hear other folks had such problems.

We also were required to change cabins.

It went seamlessly...........we brought meds , passports and important belongings along with us to where we waited to be escorted off ship to wait return. Our steward told us a supervisor would move our things.

We packed our suitcases, left our clothes on hangers and even had a laundry bin full of clothes, emptied the safe and vacated the room for Breakfast.

When we returned to the ship went straight to our new room and everything was neatly placed in our new closet. Our elite bar set up was already in the room.

  9. Just off Caribbean Princess.........2 for 1 was in fusion midday . No cans of soda etc. in that bar: had bar spray for tonic, club soda etc. Over several days bought : beer , Korbel and mixed drinks had to be the same drink. Most enjoyable. Did not check out wine as we brought our own and paid corkage fee. But will check out wine on next cruise.

  10. Yes you can use cash at the slots or tables.

You can turn your chips in for cash.

If you play the slots you can not get winnings out unless you set up an account tied to your cruise card. It will be a voucher and you can use it to play another machine or cash in for cash.

Once you set up an account with cruise card you can charge to your room , but amounts vary based on level of play and amount per day sometimes.

  11. We used Princess air when we did land /sea package. Price was about the same as booking ourselves. Great connections. We flew into Vancouver and out of Fairbanks. Came in a day early.

Everything ran so smoothly. They checked us in that morning in the hotel lobby and only needed our picture taken when we got to the ship. First passengers to arrive in the Port.
