What is meant by "Tender" is this the transport from the ship to port?
Yep
And what is the process to get on board?What normally happens is in the morning you go to one off the lounges (It should say in the daily the previous night which lounge to go to), & Then you get a ticket with a number & then they call out a number & when your number is called you head down to your Tender.

I have not been on the Diamond Princess before, but I would think as it’s a US ship that you may need to bring an adapter, I would take one anyway, to be on the safe side :)

are reef shoes a must in all ports?
We are going to noumea, ouvea and Isle of Pines
Never been to ouvea, so I can’t comment about there, but reef shoes will be very useful in Isle of Pines.
And I don’t think you will need them in noumea, but it could be worth tacking them just in case.
Also, is hair braiding available in Noumea?Not too sure, sorry :o

It definatley wasn't there in Sep 2005 when I was last there.
I don’t think it was there in July 2006 when we where there, so it could be new.
