Only about $1500. Still waaaayyyy ahead though based on the 37 cruises we have been on. Most won is over $11k on one cruise.
-
We have always stayed at the Intercontinental but the rates have been too high lately so we are trying the JW Marriott Marquis just down the road from the IC in Brickell. It is a five star hotel and we landed it for less than $200. Marquis Miami

Also remember that the sofa in the living room converts into a bed if you have someone that snores or is not happy with the sleeping arrangements in the second bedroom.

It looks just like this. Only change is the window shades have been removed and there is a new sofa.

I stayed in the DOS in April 2017, the first cruise post drydock. There are two balconies on each side of the suite overlooking the pool. Go on you tube as there is a video on there it is called the "Black Diamond" suite. It was awesome. I felt like we were part of the party high above the pool as we had a birds eye view of all the festivities.

Looks like they got rid of the 32 oz. Porterhouse. Had it a few years ago, did they stop serving it when they went a la carte?
Must be something new as we had the Tomahawk and the 32oz porterhouse on our recent cruise in April. Once again more cutbacks at NCL. This is why I am no longer cruising NCL after 2017. I"m tired of paying 10k to stay in the Haven and they just keep taking things away. Lobster, champagne, steaks, cognac. I can get all of this at an all inclusive land resort for half the money.

Websites which provide this info are saying pier 4 downtown OSJ.

JFK to SJU on Delta 12/27 and then SJU to EWR on United 1/7 coming home from NYE cruise. $400 non-stop total. Always book one leg at a time and look for the lowest rates as they come available.
-
The courtyard butler there is awesome. Ask him for anything and he will make it happen.
-
I have the DOS for NYE and would make the switch in a heartbeat if there are more than two of you. The room is almost double the size and if you need a balcony the pool and bar are steps away on deck 12 and 13.
-
Just an FYI. They will bring smoked salmon from the back if you ask for it. Also, they will bring you just about anything if you ask for it. At worst all they can say is no. I have found if it is not on the buffet and you ask for it they can make it happen.

28 days to the DOS on the Escape.

Another shout out for team Sue @ Louis Vuitton!!! Be a shopping hero and initiate.
Don't worry Doug your safe, the closest Louis Vuitton store is in the Zona Hotelera Cancun Fashion Mall which is a 45 minute ferry ride from Cozumel to Playa del Carmen and then a 90 minute cab ride from Playa del Carmen to Cancun. You're in the clear.

Tell Sue not to waste her time looking for a Louis bag in Mexico. We just came back from Cancun and the prices are not good even after much negotiating and haggling on our part. I always buy high end bags for the wife in London. Prices are better there especially since Brexit.

Bayamo is on the Escape. The Mexican restaurant on the Dawn is Los Lobos.
Thanks. Too many darn cruises booked that they are starting to blend in. I have Escape on the brain as we will be on her in 40 days and then on the Dawn for NYE.

I am going to Nassau in August on the Escape and booked a room at the Comfort Inn Paradise Island. for our family of four. Got all privileges at the Atlantis for $308 total. Go with the CI it only requires one night stay.
-
I know that almost 6 months out is still a long time, but having never cruised on the Dawn, does anyone have any specialty restaurant menus or dailies (especially for port days). Is there enough to do on a port day if you don't leave the ship? 1st time on Dawn on 1/7/18.
Check out beyondships or do a search on this Forum as all of the specialty restaurants can be found on CC. The Dawn has all of the same restaurants and menus as the other NCL ships with the exception of Bayamo which is new and only on the Dawn. Everyone recommends the table side made guacamole and the skirt steak.

I sail only in the Haven but I don't think it is fair that they should withhold Vibe passes for Haven guests. The Haven has everything Vibe has except it allows children. If you don't want children go to Spice H20. If children are unruly say something. If you are a Haven guest and truly want Vibe passes get there early just like everyone else but don't put them on hold because you think you deserve it as a Haven guest. Some folks just feel over deserving.

I tried the sparkling wine a couple of times and can't drink it anymore. We always bring our our bottle of Dom, Bol or VC for 1/3 of what they charge on the ship. Only need to pay the $15 corkage fee. Now if they only served caviar and condiments.

Thanks for your review. I have the same cabin in 48 days and strategically picked this cabin for its location. Easy to carry martinis that short distance while the wife is getting dressed and the kids enjoy the late night jacuzzi sessions before turning in.

What cruise line and when? If you are leaving from the Pan am pier it may be better to stay closer to that pier or in Condado. Lots of better hotel choices there.
-
We are going to CVIche105. One of the top 5 restaurants in all of Miami and close to your hotel.
-
There is always a chance as some folks on here have told stories of getting upgrades relatively cheap. I am sailing in the Haven on the Escape in 54 days and there are still 26 Haven suites remaining. The prices have dropped slightly but it doesn't look like there is a high demand for that cruise due to it being during hurricane season.

I remember seeing a smoking section on the Breakaway's Haven the sun deck area of the haven.
Is cigar smoking allowed there?
Thank you.
Don
No cigars unfortunately. Only cigarettes or vapes. Cigars can only be smoked in the Humidor Cigar Lounge on deck 8 or if you can sneak one when everyone is asleep.

I only play craps. Most won on a single cruise was a little over $11k on one sailing. Not a high roller but just play my system and walk when its cold and bet high when its hot.
