You had a wise doctor, IMHO. I worked at a University which had medical students and residents/intern working and making medical decisions. It was quite apparent that some did fine in academics but practical applications were difficult for them. This can be said for any profession really.

Lots of laugh out loud memes today...lol! Had RSV and TDPT vaccines last Friday. The only side effects were minor sore injection sites in each arm, nothing else. Lucky I guess. Hello everyone! It's been pretty busy so I haven't posted, just read the posts lately.Time for me to say hello to other Dailyites. Happy Thanksgiving to our dear friends from Canada. I had to Google the story behind the Canada Thanksgiving; I only know the USA story. In Canada, it is celebrated on the second Monday of October, while in the United States it is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. Canada celebrates the voyage of explorer Frobisher in 1578, and the United States celebrates, the Native Americans helping pilgrims get food in Massachusetts in 1621. Today we are also celebrating Indigenous People Day here in MN; it is an official state holiday, 1st time this year. (No longer Columbus Day in MN). We have many sovereign tribe nations in MN. It is reflected in the naming of towns, streets, lakes, forests etc. here in MN. It is cold here!! We have a frost advisory tonight so the plants will be coverd outside. It is supposed to be cold and rainy at the end of the week. Fall is here.....brrr. Thanks to everyone for their contributions to the thread........it is all good. I love reading it daily! Safe travels and bon voyage to the group of people cruising and on land.....wonderful to see people traveling. Prayers for all of us and extras for those who are dealing with struggles of any kind. Glad to hear you are safe and sound after your really long travel day. I agree, time in an airline lounge doesn't make the time go faster. It seems you were fed well...it all looked and sounded good. Love the charcuterie board and wine at the hotel, what a great perk! Perfect for a before bed snack and wine. I am excited for you now that the travel part is over!!! Rest well. ☺️

In addition to all those helpful therapies mentioned, I have used Icy Hot, very affective on my knees...tingles.

I am a NCL fan so not everyone thinks you are wrong...it is different than HAL. I like them for some very good reasons. Love Alaska! Sailed the PC last March on the NCL Bliss and loved it! Would do it again in a nano second! LOL.

@Quartzsite Cruiser, Lenda, this is so cool! As a former critical care RN who took care of neuro/neuro surg patients, and was a medical device researcher, devices like this are always interesting to me. It appears to have quite a few indications for use in the day to day neuro assessments of injured people. Good Friday morning everyone, First I want to thank all of the contributors to this thread; it is all good for my heart and soul. It is a dreary day here today, cloudy, very rainy and thunderstorms going on. @StLouisCruisers, yes, the TV told me it is also National Coffee day which is consumed by 63% of people in the US, according to a poll on the news...lol. IMO it is second only to wine as being a favorite drink which may depend on the time of day for consumption. 😊 @Quartzsite Cruiserit sounds like good news on DH especially with having less pain. Happy he is able to go home; hope you have some help for when you care for him at home sionce you will be the 100% caretaker. You are both in this together. @HAL Sailer prayers for your DH and you on the health challenges happening now. Hope they are able to diagnose and come up with a good plan of care for him. Please take care of yourself also, prayers for you both. I have been to Anchorage a few times, always a nice visit. It is a small city, rustic but very interesting because of the lifestyle, IMO. The mural @StLouisCruisers showed us a picture of is a mural painted by the artist Wyland, he does beautiful work. He is a global advocate for marine and ocean life. He has done many of those ocean and whale murals all over the world for free to bring awareness to the issues. He also painted a mural on the side of the ship the NCL Bliss; it is beautiful. @smitty34877 hope your day goes well, you have had a challenging time of it. Please take care of yourself too though it can be tough to do as a caretaker and the loss of your DH. @rafinmd and @cruzn single Bon Voyage and safe travels!!! Carolyn, I think that is a great idea to have a "Daily get together and/or meal" near the beginning of the cruise. As you know we are at sea for the first few days so one of those might work. Hope others will be interested. It would be fun! Beautiful picture of your wedding. Looks like a very elegant wedding. Love your red hair; all of my 5 siblings have red hair, a beautiful shade of color like yours. I was the only white blonde, hmmm. Just a bit of trivia about my family...LOL. Nice group of days - we are all tourists here, it is partially what keeps us together; forgiveness should be a given but is sometimes difficult to carry out; here in the state of MN voter registration can be done at the polling place on the election day so there should be no excuses! 😉 My thanks to all contributors! Good Saturday Everyone! Welcome to Fall, we are very tired of the very hot Summer we had (whining) but still have some 80's coming up. The trees are changing so it is getting pretty around town. They are saying rain today, which we really need but currently it is partly sunny and 70F, so we will see. @cruising sister, thank you for the update on Baby Murphy. Very sad results on her CT scan indeed. Prayers for the family, not much else I can say at this time. Comfort and peace be with any decisions they make. How is the planning for the GV going? I am a bit overwhelmed but bit by bit I think it will come together, we still have some time. We have a family friend who is an Ovarian cancer survivor, very blessed to still have her in our lives. She just found out she will become a Grandmother for the first time so we are all ecstatic! This Teal Talk day means alot to us. We have been on walks to supoport research etc. Today is the 35th anniversary of my DF death; he died young of liver Cancer. Went to the cemetary to 'see' him. 💔 Hamburger hotdish absolutely reminds me of my childhood; goulash, tater tot hotdish and spider hotdish to name a few. Yum! I make them still, mostly in the Winter. My mom was a very cook good and taught all us kids how to cook so we do well with cooking. IMO it is a good thing to teach children that lifeskill. Safe travels and lots of fun to all who are currenting sailing and those who have upcoming cruises. The list of people traveling/cruising is impressive! Lucky ducks....😊 Prayers for all of us and special prayers for those who could use a bit more; you are in our hearts. Celebrate your life everyone, we are the lucky ones. I know NCL doesn't, when I cruised Celebrity and RCL a few years ago they didn't. I also have taken a EU river cruise that didn't. I am thinking it is the Carnival products that have the limit.

So does that mean if a person has the BP and meets the 15 drink criteria they can then buy drinks? With the BP including water, coffee and soda pop they all add up to the limit. Does anyone have experience with this? 😊 TIA.
