Thanks AF-1. I have reserved / booked it :)
Jeter02, maybe you should book the excursion. Once in a lifetime. Have not read or seen one person say they did not think it was worth it; it was highlight of their trip. -
They did away with the sommelier's a few years ago. The Table waiters, assist you with that. Also, I prefer traditional dinning over anytime, as I enjoy having the same waiter and junior waiter, along with the same table every night. They learn your habits, and personalize and cater to you.

Tours, you need to go to the shore excursion desk. Crown Grille, ASAP once you get onboard, as they book up quickly. Luggage Tags. For the 12 Years I've sailed on Princess, I've only known of printing the luggage tags from the cruise personalizer.

Yes!, I'm cruising there in July as well.
We booked the Princess excursion for our July cruise. Taking grandkids and they are excited about dogsledding on glacier and holding the puppies; plus I think the helicopter gives a tour of the area before landing on glacier. -
Only on the Regal, Royal and Sapphire only.

I've only booked a shore excursion once through the princess personalizer about 2 years ago for my balitic cruise. However I can't remember how payment worked. I wanna book for my upcoming Alaskan Cruise in July. If I click the reserve button, does it require full payment?
Last time I had Onboad Credit and thought I wasn;t charged till I was onboard. I have OBC for this cruise as well, that I was playing to apply to excursion. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don;t want to hit reserve, to find out my credit crad was charged for the full amount.
Also can someone explain to me cancellation policy? How far in advance do I have to cancel if needed?

New beds excite me. Good to know as I will be there in a few short weeks. Once again, great live blog Thanks for letting us join you on your one day cruise.

I am highly considering the dog sled by helicopter excursion in Juneau. Thoughts? Is it worth it the cost?

I do it all the time, and have sailed multiple weeks onboard up to a month. Honestly its safest way to travel solo. You're literally in a hotel on water. I'll actually be sailing a month onboard this summer in Alaska solo. Grant you I am very independent, and don;t mind, I've made some wonderful friends over the years. I think a lot of people are usually shocked and find me brave, being such a young girl who travels solo on ships. I personally LOVE IT!!!!! Best part is, you can do whatever you want, whenever yo please. There is no schedule or compromising with someone else on what to do. You'll be fine.

Just to polish with shellac, no acrylic its $45. For acrylic with shellac is $85, onbaord the ship. Grant you it is expensive, but the nail technicians do a great .

Love the your photo live coverage!!! Awesome. I'll be there in a short few weeks. Can;t wait!

Does anyone know who the current hotel general manager is on board the Ruby?

I took this cruse on the regal 2 summers ago. No stamps unfortunately. In St. Petersburg they gave you a special immigration form in Russian, but you have to hand back in for collection when arriving back on the ship. i would have loved the stamps in my passport, as Ihave a pretty nice collection thus far.

I've gotten them a few times onboard. Soooo relaxing, and they do a fabulous job. Well worth the extra treat, to make you feel extra special on your cruise.

I had the same question 2 weeks ago, as I will be flying into to SEA-TAC day of around 12pm. I think I've concluded that I am just going to Uber it to the pier. I like the idea of quickly grabbing an Uber vs. Waiting for others for the Princess Transfer.

Honestly, when I cruised the Baltic, I stuck with my credit card. Otherwise I use some Euros. They do have an ATM on the ship (obv. small service fee). So before you get off at each stop, you can take out the proper currency as the ship has is all available for you.

I'm booked on the Ruby for 2 weeks for the Alaska sailings. Glacier Bay Hands down!!!! Glaciers won't be around forever, so you might as well get it in ow. Plus its a National Park.

Unfortunately you cannot use your cc to pay for a future cruise deposit. They charge your credit card instead. Years ago, they use to allow you to use your OBC, but no longer. Regardless, I always recommend taking those deposits out always.

The promotion has been going on for awhile now. I want to say at least 2 months. It does however, end April 20th

Glacier Bay, hands down! I'll be sailing the for 2 weeks on the Ruby this summer! Like others have mentioned, the Glaciers won't be around forever, so why not check that off your list :)

never heard of it before

yes.

I've Used OBC to pay for excursions. Just don't pre-pay. If you wait till you're onboard, the ship uses all of your OBC first, and if you have a remaining balance, its gets charged to you'r ship account, But OBC is always deducted first.
