  1. That seems reasonable. We’ll plan on watching later shows.
  2. My 45 day window will be opening next month, and I’m making my plans in my head. How much time should I reasonably allow for dinner? What’s a good time slot to reserve so we can also see shows? It looks like most things take place at dinner time. Should we plan on eating before or after shows? I want to be able to coordinate all this so I can log in at midnight and make reservations immediately.
  3. Is it possible to just hop on the bus (or taxi) and visit without being part of an organized tour?
  4. AA changed my return flight last year- giving me less than a 30 minute layover at CLT. At the time, one of my flighmates was recovering from the ‘Vid and was using supplemental oxygen. Walking was a struggle, running was not an option. Complaining directly did me no good as I’m not an frequent flyer and those miles I’d cashed in weren’t exactly a concern. So… I ranted a little on SM (the bird app). Within a few minutes, I was asked to DM customer service. After explaining my situation, I was given the chance to change my flight to one that hadn’t been published yet. It never hurts to try…
  5. As a non Rock Star, I was allowed to choose 1:45 for boarding in San Juan. Does having DBE grant an earlier embarkation?
  6. Thank you. I realized my typo right away and tried to edit or delete to no avail.
  7. Same here. I didn’t even realize Brilliant was a new build when I booked her. It wasn’t until weeks later when I couldn’t find any ship porn that a figured it out.
  8. We're booked on her third sailing. LOL. I didn't even realize she was a new build until after I booked and was looking for some good ship porn! If it helps, I plan on taking copious photos and posting.
  9. Thank you. Those pics are just what I needed on this horrible day at work.
  10. Of course, this makes total sense! We're doing the Western Caribbean.
  11. I feel like this is probably asked and answered to death, but I promise I went back at least four pages on the search function and didn't see anything. As the title says, I'm a NCL cruiser (Platinum if it matters), and I'm looking to expand my horizons. I'm booked on Radiance of the Seas next year, and I have more questions than I can even think of at the moment. I know she's an older, smaller gal, but those huge mega-ships are a little intimidating for me. I chose "My Time" dining as I'm not keen on dining with strangers. It appears I'm able to make reservations now. (That seems crazy early to me, but I'm not complaining.) Is there any way to know what time evening shows begin, so I can plan accordingly? If I reserve 6:45pm, can I still make shows? Should I aim for entertainment before dinner? Will I know in advance of formal nights? This isn't an issue on NCL. My "cruise" uniform is typically long capris and lightweight, semi-dressy tops. (Think Land's End.) Will I be okay for the most part, or do I need to buy some new items? (We'll probably skip formal night.) For those who have sailed both lines, can you tell me some of the differences between the two? Similarities? Thank you in advance for any help. I'm happy to provide any additional information if it helps.
  12. Can someone tell me which port Virgin will use? TIA!
  13. I'm booked on the fourth sailing of Brilliant Lady, and I've had the app downloaded for almost a year now.
  14. Our itinerary is pretty port intensive, so I don't think we'll be bored. I'm just trying to get a feel for the line. I don't have a problem with eating myself into a nice food coma on a sea day!
  15. That sounds fun. I was (only a little) concerned that it was eat, exercise, or nada.
  16. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for!! Thank you so much!!
  17. Yeah, I know all about the amazing fitness and wellness classes. But, if I'm being honest, I have a fitness center available to me at home as well as the office. I see tons of reviews about the great entertainment at night and all of the food choices, but not much about shipboard activities during the day. Do most sailors just sleep all day on sea days?
  18. https://www.cruisehive.com/former-norwegian-cruise-line-ships-arrive-for-scrapping/89076 The Dream was my first ship. I kinda' want to cry.
  19. Thanks, guys. I was beginning to question my sanity!
  20. So, I reached out to my TA a few months ago when I saw the final price had dropped by a significant amount. This was a first time for me. I received an email telling me I’d get this credit in the form of a FCC and it would be in my latitude account after the cruise ended. I might be an idiot. Where is it? How do I locate it? I’ve been credited for this cruise in my account, but don’t see anything about funds.
  21. We brought our special friend with us on this past cruise. (He has an active account on the birdie site.) We brought him a beach hat and a sailor’s cap because he wanted to dress appropriately. We also got the cruise director to pose with him.
