  1. Are there any other cruise lines, other than MSC, where passengers can start or finish their cruise at different ports of an itinerary. I was on one from Vancouver to LA, , where a couple embarked from Victoria., one of the stops, and wondered if there were any other itineraries or cruise lines that have that option . thank you
  2. This thread far exceeds the Carnival Cruise Line’s Bacon Thread. for those who suggest a urinal, google PureWick & design one for a male- you’ll be a millionaire 💡 ADA would most likely suggest more stalls so people can safely do their thing while seated. Carry on 🚽
  3. I read that using sponges works as an alternative to ice packs as a means of not getting stopped at the airport- at home, get them wet and put in the freezer.
  4. Can we have a few ‘post work-out, sweaty & stinky table ‘ I would love it !
  5. You gave me an idea- maybe Carnival should step up, have fun & call one night ‘the people watch night’ just to see what people would wear.
  6. Back in the day, one could rent a tux close to the cruise line and I think that a few lines like Carnival & Princess had the ability to rent once onboard, if you specified ahead of time. If it was profitable back then, who Knows ?
  7. I just copied a post from a Princess group, not to be mentioned on CC. It was posted 19 hours ago and I can't verify it actually happened, First for me. Here it is: This was new to me, but last night was the first time on our Caribbean Princess trip that I saw a lady being sent to change her outfit because it was inappropriate for Formal Night. She was in her thirties and wearing a kind of sundress/shorts thing. There are often been men asked to leave. We had a young man beside us sent out because he was in shorts and when he came back he was in rather ratty jeans and he was asked to leave again. He came back in nice pants and that wasn't even a formal night, that was a couple nights ago on a smart casual night. I asked the Maitre'D about it and he said they will cut people a lot of slack for the first and last nights, but want to maintain a standard on the rest of the nights. 493 Comments
  8. I agree with you on that point, thank you for bringing it up. It could be a special dinner like the Chef's Table, called Tuxes and Ball Gowns. I'm not sure how many people would really go for it, as everyone is packing less and concentrating on a comfy vacay, I like the idea- one wouldn't HAVE to be subjected to it, unless interested.
  9. On another cruise line, someone posted that as they entered the massage room, they gave the crew member half of the tip and said that they would get the second half at the end, IF they didn't say a word about any product or sales pitch during the massage.
  10. This is response from someone on Facelook that I copy and pasted: they put boarding passes in our mail slots on Freedom. When we left Freedom they scanned our folios and when we boarded the Conquest scanned the boarding pass and our folios were waiting at our new rooms (we had the same room on both ships)
  11. Recent article, written in the UK, regarding which countries do not require vaccines, for those who can't cruise at this point from the UK or for anyone who's interested in seeing what countries expectations are to enter. All 75 countries you can travel to unvaccinated - Times Travel (thetimes.co.uk)
  12. If your cruise stops at Cozumel, I’d recommend making reservations online to Nacho Cocom & also make a reservation for one of their massages- you’re in a tent on the beach- best massage I ever had .
  13. That's a good point . I haven't heard one word about how "liberal" or "strict" cruise lines have been in granting exemptions. If you or anyone has information or data, it would be great to see it. I do know of one couple who have cruised 3x ( not on Carnival or Princess) since March 5th with a medical exemption and had a blast. And, you're correct, US citizens have to be vaccinated in order to gain entry in to Canada.
  14. On March 5th of this year, CDC changed their requirement for the unvaccinated - from 5% to 10% for those who can't medically take the vaccine. California is the only state which allows a religious exemption. This is from Princess' website. For cruises departing from the U.S., Princess Cruises continues to operate highly vaccinated cruises that meet the U.S. CDC requirement for sailing with at least 90% of guests fully vaccinated, excluding children under five years of age (who are not yet eligible for COVID-19 vaccines). These cruises are available for guests who have received their final dose of an authorized/approved COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days prior to the beginning of the cruise and have proof of vaccination, in accordance with CDC guidelines. In addition, where local regulations allow, we’re managing an exemption process that supports religious, medical and other guest considerations, but children under five may be booked without an exemption.
  15. I propose one venue, once on the cruise. Listen, they use a separate room for Bingo, Art Auctions, Chef's Table, dancing lessons, Trivia. Someone needs to find a cruise director who has the balls to have ONE night, where they're a seperate area of the dining room or adjacent to the dining room, for an elegant night, for people who want to sign up, wearing their fancy duds.. Why not ? THEY could figure out the logistics. IF not enough people participate, they can cancel it.
  16. Great point - use hand sanitizer and don't touch your face ! I learned that decades ago while working in healthcare- from the time you walk in to the hospital to the time you step out- never touch your face.
  17. Adults with medical exemptions have been able to cruise though maybe not on Carnival. I'm not certain as to how cruise lines select the pax, whether children are selected first or not, but I know of a couple who've been on 3 cruises since the CDC's March 5th ruling this year, increasing the unvaccinated from 5 to 10% on cruise ships. They cruised another cruise line.
  18. At least ONCE during a cruise, the plan is to get some cheese, fruit, crackers or whatever we find at the buffet, bring it to the cabin for a snack, wine and either watch a movie or nap. Usually, the movie and nap kind of merge into one.
  19. Here are a few pics from Facelook, posted 30 minutes ago
  20. WHAT’s THE ISSUE, lol. Apoarently you haven’t read the THOUSANDS of posts over the years on the pros & cons of leaving formality out of formal night- nothing to do with maître D, polo shirts, tuxes, let’s just be comfortable vibe, lmao. btw, I like leaving my formal wear home.
