If you just want to go shopping, then Singapore is the same as any other large city, and the prices are high by Asian standards.

But that hot steamy tropical climate means that it is the most beautifully green and lush city. I love the outdoor places like the botanical gardens, Jurong bird park, the zoo. Don't spend your whole time scuttling between air-conditoned buildings.  Get out in the open and walk slowly.

Agree! Botanic Orchid Gardens are worth a walk through also.

Handicapped wheelchair user - can't walk at all and filled out Princess disability form, booked accessible cabin. In the past two weeks have gotten THREE book your excursions now emails. Three worthless to send us emails.

Out of all 4 port stops during the cruise NOT ONE wheelchair accessible excursion is offered and one port might not be able to get off the ship to do our own thing (Belize City). Only available wheelchair accessible excursion by Princess is Ft Lauderdale airport transfer waterway tour. Glad we can search for/book accessible excursions on our own.

What if someone's travel companions has an interest in doing an excursion?

Go into your booking and click the "itinerary" link.  Your excursions and any other reservations (dining, etc) will be listed by the day,

Thankyou. I have now found it thanks to you. I didn't find an actual "itinerary" link, but clicked on the name of the cruise and it took me to the itinerary. Thsnks again.

We've stayed at the Furama City 3 times now. It is looking a wee bit dated.. but it's fine. We love the fact that it's located right next to the MRT and you can get anywhere from there on the MRT.. it's a short walk to Clark Quay etc.. it's very reasonably priced for buffet breakfast included.. and it comes with the complimentary all-day refreshments and evening alcohol drinks in a designated lounge.

Price, proximity to MRT and Club rooms is why we chose it. The complimentary inclusions are for Club rooms only, so if anyone's interested in that, make sure you book a Club room. We will be there end of June for a 4 night stopover.

I’m currently researching hotels for our 3 night pre-cruise stay in November. We usually like to book club rooms but the prices are pretty steep. The exchange rate and SG taxes don’t help either.

Check out Furama City Hotel for club room rate. We're staying there in June.

  6. Thanks everyone

Rang back on Sydney number this morning. Got a newby who didn't understand my request and eventually told me to ring on the Australian number (which I had used to get him!)  I rang again, same number, got a different rep named Jackie who was amazing. Extremely helpful and knew her stuff. Now have new cabin, huge balcony. Was not able to help with dining reservations as they have not been "loaded" yet.

  7. Hello. We are booked on a 14 day cruise, which can be done as 2 7 day cruises. There is a cabin which is available on both 7 day cruises. Does anyone know if its possible to have that cabin transferred to the 14 day inventory and for us to book it? Thanks in advance for your responses

  8. Hello. New to Holland America, but experienced cruiser. At what stage am I able to make a booking for one of the "included" specialty restaurants? We will be sailing on the Ritterdam in May. Final payment is due in February. Thanks in advance for your responses

  9. Currently on Grand, embarked yesterday in Melbourne for 14 days to NZ return. We did not complete any health questionnaire prior to embarkation. Not even the pre covid type asking about colds in the last 7 days.

Horizon Court has hand wash stations that were not manned. Then sanitisation stands prior to entering the food area of Horizon court which were manned.

Didn't appear to be as many staff in the buffet as previous cruises.

  10. Wherever you store your passport, ALWAYS take the 10 seconds to put it back in its safe storage place, no matter how rushed you are. It's such a terrible feeling going to that zipped pocket or wherever, only to find that your passpots not there.

Hotels require original passport, not copy for checkin.
