Does it have to be Rotterdam? One obvious location for that length of time would be Amsterdam, but I don't know whether you have reasons for specifically wanting to be in Rotterdam.

If you do stay in Rotterdam, my first suggestion for accommodation would be the ss Rotterdam.

We are staying in Amsterdam post cruise. Ss Rotterdam booked out.

When you book Club Orange, you are booked at the lowest category and then upgraded to the highest category in that meta category.  That is probably why your price is lower.

No I did a mock booking fir lowest category.

  3. We have not cruised HAL before. Did a mock booking to find out cost. Then rang HAL direct to see if Club Orange was available for our particular cruise. Operator asked if I'd like to book and did so over the phone. Price was cheaper than website with additional cost of CO included. Not sure why.

  4. Hi. We have received an email advising our checkin time. We sail from Kiel and we're wondering if they are strict with boarding times. We have been allocated quite a late one and would prefer to embark earlier to off load our luggage.  Thank you.

  5. Hi. We will be on the Costa Firenze to Norway early September. Whilst we have cruised before, we have never been on a Costa ship.

Anything different that we should know? Thanks in advance for any assistance

  6. Hi all. We have a cruise booked on Costa Firenze later in the year. Wondering if anyone can post their experiences if you have sailed with Costa. (No Concordia input thanks 🙂 )

We have been told that announcements will be made in English and Italian as a lot of Italians travel on Costa. We have also been told that there are some limits on restaurants you can go to on a basic fare.

For comparison, we have previously sailed Princess, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean and P&O.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Frankly, although I have received the benefit many times over the last several years, I have always been surprised about it. Why? - because Carnival Corp are an American Company and American Society is not Australian Society. I served in the Australian Military for 20 years RAAF and RAN  and am not recognised by Australian Society as a "veteran'. I am only a mere Ex-Serviceman - big difference!!!!  😞

You most definitely are a Veteran.  image.thumb.png.cce15d2d4c0568c58119ced962390de3.png

We have a balcony cabin booked for our cruise on Eclipse in December - it includes premium drink package and gratuities.  I have put in an offer for an upgrade to Concierge Class. So, my question is:  If I happen to win that move-up, do I keep the drink package and gratuities?  Or do I lose them?

I think I would prefer to stay where we are rather than do Concierge without the bonus packages especially as I think my bid was probably quite high (it was a while ago and I can't remember what the minimum bid was but I bid $250/p).

    You keep them.

  9. We are currently on the Eclipse. Did it first night at discounted rate. This was to avoid the first night dining zoo that occurs. Great choice. We had a nice relaxed evening. Experience was exceptional. Agree that for some people it is a once of experience.

Was that in economy class Bizziecruizer ?

I'm interesting in using them for our flights next October.

We used to love flying Air New Zealand in our 20's and 30's when they had direct flights to the USA but haven't flown with them for years now.

Yes, however we paid extra for extra legroom seats and a sky couch each. I got some sleep!!!
