We have a balcony cabin booked for our cruise on Eclipse in December - it includes premium drink package and gratuities.  I have put in an offer for an upgrade to Concierge Class. So, my question is:  If I happen to win that move-up, do I keep the drink package and gratuities?  Or do I lose them?

I think I would prefer to stay where we are rather than do Concierge without the bonus packages especially as I think my bid was probably quite high (it was a while ago and I can't remember what the minimum bid was but I bid $250/p).

    You keep them.

  2. We are currently on the Eclipse. Did it first night at discounted rate. This was to avoid the first night dining zoo that occurs. Great choice. We had a nice relaxed evening. Experience was exceptional. Agree that for some people it is a once of experience.

Was that in economy class Bizziecruizer ?

I'm interesting in using them for our flights next October.

We used to love flying Air New Zealand in our 20's and 30's when they had direct flights to the USA but haven't flown with them for years now.

Yes, however we paid extra for extra legroom seats and a sky couch each. I got some sleep!!!

Supervised RAT test required 😞 Now trying to find somewhere to get one in Waikiki, anyone on transpacific crossings or from Honolulu can suggest anywhere? Found a few online but all booked out.

Try Onpoint. It's a video proctored test. Supply your own RAT. Do an online chat with them before you book to check that your RAT is an acceptable brand.

  5. Hi all. Back story. We are sailing Honolulu to Sydney 3 October 2022. We have just been advised that we need to have a negative proctored covid test 2 days prior to cruise. Originally advised negative test non proctored.

All other cruises only require nonproctoted negative covid test or no test at all.

We have been advised the Hawaiian proctored testing and also some brands of video proctoring will be closing end of September. We need to alert someone on Celebrity that it may not be possible for people to test. Get them to arrange something for cruisers.

Can someone please provide a way to contact Celebrity and alert them to the issue? Thanks in advance.

  6. Hi we will be cruising to Norway in September 2023.

Having trouble deciding between these 2 itineraries. Can anyone please make suggestions as to why they think one is better than the other?

Copenhagen, Helleslyt, Geiranger, Bergin, Stavanger, Kiel and Copenhagen. Costa Firenz.

Copenhagen, Helleslyt, Maloy, Flam, Kiel and Copenhagen. MSC Euribia.

We are swaying towards the one that goes to Flam, however that means no Bergin. Thanks in advance for your input.

I was under the understanding that close contacts were able to be confined to their cabin and tested daily if they wished, while positives had no choice but be moved to the quarantine area.

No quarantine, as per my original post. Not allowed to leave cabin. No one to enter cabin, except in case of an emergency. Applies to close contact and covid positive passengers. No offer of testing, however if you were to get symptoms I'm sure you could call and get it done.

i would tend to agree with you. It would be nice if they offered the option of medallion vs card. One observation I will say and it is just my opinion is I think the medallion is a decent marketing attraction for the younger crowd and for families as a lot of the features seem to be pinpointed for them aka avatars on screens, ordering drinks and food anywhere for delivery, and built in messaging and tracking.

You still have the option of a card. Just go to the purser's desk.
